< Luk 4 >

1 Jisọs, onye jupụtara na Mmụọ Nsọ, sitere na Jọdan lọta. Mmụọ nsọ duuru ya baa nʼọzara.
And, Jesus, full of Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in the Spirit in the desert,
2 Ebe ahụ ka ekwensu nwara ya ọnwụnwa iri ụbọchị anọ. Nʼụbọchị ndị ahụ niile o righị nri ọbụla. Nʼikpeazụ agụụ gụrụ ya.
forty days, —being tempted by the adversary; and he did eat nothing in those days, —and, when they were concluded, he hungered.
3 Ekwensu sịrị ya, “Ọ bụrụ na ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke, gwa nkume a ka ọ ghọọ achịcha.”
And the adversary said to him—If thou art God’s, Son, speak unto this stone; that it become bread.
And Jesus made answer unto him—It is written: Not, on bread alone, shall, man, live.
5 Ekwensu duuru ya rigoo nʼebe dị elu, gosi ya alaeze niile nke ụwa, nʼotu ntabi anya.
And, leading him up, he shewed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth, in a moment of time.
6 Ọ gwara ya sị, “M ga-enye gị ikike niile ndị a na ebube ha. Ọ bụ m ka e nyere ha, e nwere m ike inye ha onye ọbụla m chọrọ inye ha.
And the adversary said to him—Unto thee, will I give this authority, all together, and their glory; because, unto me, hath it been delivered up, and, to whomsoever I please, I give it:
7 Ya mere, ọ bụrụ na ị kpọọ isiala nye m, ha ga-abụ nke gị.”
Thou, therefore, if thou wilt worship before me, it shall all, be thine.
8 Jisọs zara ya sị, “E deela ya: ‘Ị ga-akpọ isiala nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, naanị ya ka ị ga-efekwa.’”
And, answering, Jesus said to him—It is written: The Lord thy God, shalt thou worship, and, unto him alone, render divine service.
9 Ekwensu duuru ya gaa Jerusalem, mee ka o guzo nʼebe dịkarịsịrị elu nke ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ. Ọ sịrị ya, “Ọ bụrụ na ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke, si nʼebe a tụda onwe gị nʼala.
And he led him into Jerusalem, and set him upon the pinnacle of the temple, —and said [to him]—If thou art God’s, Son, cast thyself, from hence, down;
10 Nʼihi na e dere ya, “‘Ọ ga-enye ndị mmụọ ozi ya iwu banyere gị, ichekwa gị nke ọma;
for it is written—Unto his messengers, will he give command concerning thee, to keep vigilant watch over thee, —
11 ha ga-ebuli gị elu nʼaka ha, ka ị ghara ịkpọbi ụkwụ gị na nkume.’”
And, On hands, will they take thee up, lest once thou strike, against a stone, thy foot.
12 Jisọs zara ya sị, “E kwuola ya, Anwala Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ọnwụnwa.”
And Jesus, answering, said to him—It is said: Thou shalt not put to the test the Lord thy God.
13 Mgbe ekwensu nwasịrị ya ọnwụnwa ndị a niile, ọ hapụrụ ya ruo mgbe ohere ọzọ dapụtara.
And, having concluded every temptation, the adversary departed from him until a fitting season.
14 Jisọs lọghachiri na Galili nʼike nke Mmụọ Nsọ. Akụkọ banyere ya gbasara ruo akụkụ obodo niile.
And Jesus returned, in the power of the Spirit, into Galilee; and, a report, went out along the whole of the region, concerning him;
and, he, began teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 Mgbe o rutere Nazaret ebe ọ nọrọ too, nʼụbọchị izuike, ọ gara nʼụlọ ekpere dị ka ọ dị mbụ eme. O guzoro ọtọ ịgụ akwụkwọ nsọ.
And he came into Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and entered, according to his custom, on the sabbath day, into the synagogue, —and stood up to read.
17 E nyere ya akwụkwọ nke onye amụma Aịzaya dere. O meghere ya chọta ebe e dere sị,
And there was handed to him a scroll of the prophet Isaiah; and unfolding the scroll, he found the place where it was written:
18 “Mmụọ nke Onyenwe anyị dị nʼahụ m, nʼihi na o teela m mmanụ ka m kwusaa oziọma nye ndị ogbenye. O zitela m ikwupụta inwere onwe nye ndị mkpọrọ, ya na ịhụ ụzọ nye ndị kpuru ìsì, ime ka ndị a na-emegbu emegbu nwere onwe ha.
The Spirit of the Lord, is upon me, because he hath anointed me—to tell glad tidings unto the destitute; He hath sent me forth, —To proclaim, to captives, a release, and, to the blind, a recovering of sight, —to send away the crushed, with a release;
19 Ikwupụta afọ Onyenwe anyị ga-eme amara.”
To proclaim the welcome year of the Lord.
20 O mechiri akwụkwọ ahụ nyeghachi ya onye ahụ na-eje ozi, nọdụ ala. Ndị mmadụ niile nọ nʼụlọ nzukọ ahụ legidere ya nnọọ anya.
And, folding up the scroll, he handed it to the attendant, and sat down; and, the eyes of all, in the synagogue, were intently fixed upon him;
21 Ma o bidoro ịgwa ha sị, “Taa ka ihe ndị a e dere nʼakwụkwọ nsọ a mezuru na ntị unu.”
and he began to be saying to them—This day, is fulfilled this scripture, in your ears.
22 Mmadụ niile kwuru okwu ọma banyere ya nʼihi okwu amara niile si ya nʼọnụ pụta nke mere na ha jụrịtara onwe ha sị, “Onye a, ọ bụghị nwa nwoke Josef?”
And, all, were bearing witness to him, and marvelling at the words of favour which were proceeding out of his mouth; and they were saying—Is not, this, the, son of Joseph?
23 Ọ sịrị ha, “Nʼezie, amaara m na unu ga-atụrụ m ilu a: ‘Dibịa, gwọọ onwe gị!’ Sikwa m, ‘Ihe ndị ahụ niile anyị nụrụ ị na-eme na Kapanọm mee ha nʼebe a bụ obodo gị.’”
And he said unto them—By all means, ye will speak to me this similitude: Physician! heal, thyself, —Whatsoever things we have heard of coming to pass in Capernaum, do here also, in thine own country.
24 Ọ gara nʼihu sị, “Ma ị gwa unu eziokwu, o nweghị onye amụma ọbụla a na-anabata nke ọma nʼobodo a mụrụ ya.
And he said—Verily, I say unto you, No prophet, is, welcome, in his own country,
And, of a truth, I say unto you—Many widows, were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine upon all the land;
And, unto none of them, was Elijah sent, save unto Sarepta of Sidonia, unto a woman that was a widow.
And, many lepers, were in Israel, in the time of Elisha the prophet, and, not one of them, was cleansed, save Naaman the Syrian.
28 Mgbe ndị nọ nʼụlọ ekpere ahụ nụrụ nke a, iwe were ha nke ukwuu.
And all were filled with wrath, in the synagogue, as they heard these things.
And, rising up, they thrust him forth outside the city, and led him as far as a brow of the hill on which their city was built, —so that they might throw him down headlong.
30 Ma o sitere nʼetiti igwe mmadụ ahụ pụọ, gawara onwe ya.
But, he, passing through the midst of them, went his way.
31 O sitere nʼebe ahụ gaa Kapanọm, obodo dịkwa na Galili. Nʼụbọchị izuike, o bidoro izi ha ihe.
And he came down into Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath;
and they were being struck with astonishment at his teaching, because, with authority, was his word.
33 Otu nwoke nọ nʼime ụlọ ekpere ahụ, onye mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha bi nʼime ya. O tiri mkpu nʼoke olu,
And, in the synagogue, was a man having a spirit of an impure demon; and he cried out with a loud voice—
34 “Hapụ anyị! Gịnị ka ị na-achọ nʼebe anyị nọ, gị, Jisọs onye Nazaret? Ị bịara ka ị laa anyị nʼiyi? Ama m onye ị bụ, Onye Nsọ nke Chineke!”
Let be! What have we in common with thee, O Jesus, Nazarene! Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee, who thou art, —The Holy One of God.
35 Jisọs baara ya mba sị, “Nọrọ jii! Si nʼime ya pụta.” Mgbe ahụ mmụọ ọjọọ ahụ tụdara ya nʼala nʼihu ha niile, o sikwa nʼime ya pụọ ma o merụghị ya ahụ.
And Jesus rebuked it, saying—Hold thy peace! and go forth from him. And the demon, throwing him into the midst, went forth from him, doing him no hurt.
36 Ihe ndị a juru ha niile anya, ha jụrịtara ibe ha sị, “Gịnị bụ ozizi nke a? O ji ịchị isi na ike na-enye mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha ndị a iwu, ha na-apụtakwa!”
And amazement came upon all, and they began to converse one with another, saying—What is this word, that, with authority and power, he giveth orders unto the impure spirits, and they go forth?
37 Akụkọ banyere ya gbasara jeruo obodo niile dị ebe ahụ gburugburu.
And a noise concerning him began to go out into every place of the country around.
And, rising up, from the synagogue, he went into the house of Simon. Now, the mother-in-law of Simon, was in distress with a great fever; and they made request to him concerning her.
39 O guzoro nʼihu ya, ma baara ahụ ọkụ ahụ mba, ọ hapụrụ ya nʼotu ntabi anya ahụ. O bilikwara lee ha ọbịa.
And, standing over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her; and, instantly arising, she began to minister unto them.
40 Mgbe anyanwụ na-ada, ọtụtụ ndị nwere ndị na-arịa ọrịa dị iche iche kpọọrọ ha bịakwute Jisọs. O bikwasịrị ha niile aka nʼotu nʼotu, gwọọ ha.
But, as the sun was going in, they one and all, as many as had any sick with divers diseases, brought them unto him; and, he, upon each one of them laying, his hands, was curing them.
41 Mmụọ ọjọọ dị iche iche si nʼime ọtụtụ mmadụ pụta na-eti mkpu na-asị, “Ị bụ Ọkpara Chineke.” Ma ọ baara ha mba, o kweghị ka ha kwuo okwu, nʼihi na ha matara na ọ bụ Kraịst.
And demons also were going forth from many; crying aloud, and saying—Thou, art the Son of God. And, rebuking them, he suffered them not be talking; because they knew him to be, The Christ.
And, when it was day, going forth, he journeyed into a desert place; and, the multitudes, were seeking after him, and they came unto him, and would have detained him, that he might not depart from them.
43 Ma ọ sịrị ha, “Aghaghị m ikwusa oziọma alaeze Chineke nʼobodo ndị ọzọ, nʼihi na ọ bụ nʼihi ya ka e zitere m.”
But, he, said unto them—To the other cities also, I must needs tell the good-news of the kingdom of God, because, hereunto, was I sent forth.
44 Ọ gara nʼihu na-ekwusa oziọma nʼụlọ ekpere niile dị na Judịa.
And he was proclaiming in the cities of Judaea.
