Zsoltárok 30

1 Dávid zsoltára. Templomszentelési ének. Magasztallak Uram, hogy felemeltél engem, és nem engedted, hogy ellenségeim örüljenek rajtam.

A Psalm [and] Song, [at] the dedication of the house of David. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 Uram, Istenem, hozzád kiáltottam, és te meggyógyítottál engem!

O LORD my God, I cried to thee, and thou hast healed me.

3 Uram, felhoztad a Seolból az én lelkemet, fölélesztettél a sírbaszállók közül. (Sheol h7585)

O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)

4 Zengedezzetek az Úrnak, ti hívei! Dicsőítsétek szent emlékezetét.

Sing to the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 Mert csak pillanatig tart haragja, de élethossziglan jóakarata; este bánat száll be hozzánk, reggelre öröm.

For his anger [endureth but] a moment; in his favor [is] life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.

6 Azt mondtam azért én jó állapotomban: Nem rendülhetek meg soha.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

7 Uram, jókedvedből erősséget állítottál föl hegyemre; de elrejtéd orczádat, és megroskadtam.

LORD, by thy favor thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, [and] I was troubled.

8 Hozzád kiáltok, Uram! Az én Uramnak irgalmáért könyörgök!

I cried to thee, O LORD; and to the LORD I made supplication.

9 Mit használ vérem, ha sírba szállok? Dicsér-e téged a por; hirdeti-é igazságodat?

What profit [is there] in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hallgass meg, Uram, könyörülj rajtam! Uram, légy segítségem!

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

11 Siralmamat vígságra fordítottad, leoldoztad gyászruhámat, körülöveztél örömmel.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 Hogy zengjen néked és el ne hallgasson felőled a dicséret: Uram, én Istenem, örökké dicsőítlek téged.

To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to thee for ever.
