3 Mózes 19
1 És szólt az Örökkévaló Mózeshez, mondván:
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 Szólj Izrael fiai egész községéhez és, mondd nekik: Szentek legyetek, mert szent vagyok én, az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I, Adonai your God, am holy.
3 Kiki az ő anyját és atyját félve tisztelje és szombataimat őrizzétek meg; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Adonai your God.
4 Ne forduljatok a bálványokhoz és öntött isteneket ne készítsetek magatoknak; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten deities for yourselves. I am Adonai your God.
5 Ha pedig áldoztok békeáldozatot az Örökkévalónak, kedves fogadtatásra áldozzátok azt.
“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Adonai, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
6 Áldozástok napján egyék és másnap; ami pedig megmarad harmadnapra, tűzben égettessék el.
It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.
7 Ha azonban ennék a harmadik napon, megvetett az, nem fogadtatik kedvesen.
If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;
8 Aki eszi, viselje bűnét, mert az Örökkévaló szentségét megszentségtelenítette, irtassék ki az a személy az ő népéből.
but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Adonai, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.
9 És ha learatjátok országtok termését, ne arasd le földed szélét teljesen; és aratásod hulladékát ne szedegesd össze:
“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 Szőlődben ne böngéssz és szőlődnek elhullott szemeit ne szedegesd föl, a szegénynek és az idegennek hagyd azokat; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Adonai your God.
11 Ne lopjatok; ne tagadjatok le és ne hazudjatok egyik a másik ellen.
“‘You shall not steal from, defraud, or lie to one another.
12 Ne esküdjetek nevemre hamisan, hogy megszentségtelenítsd Istened nevét; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Adonai.
13 Ne zsarold felebarátodat és ne rabolj, ne tartsd éjjelen át a bérmunkás munkadíját magadnál reggelig.
“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 Ne átkozz süketet és vak elé ne vess gáncsot, hanem félj Istenedtől; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
15 Ne kövessetek el jogtalanságot az ítéletben, ne tekintsd a szegényt és ne tiszteld a nagynak színét, hanem igazság szerint ítélj embertársad fölött:
“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor uprightly.
16 Ne járj rágalmazóként néped között; ne állj veszteg felebarátod vérénél; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Adonai.
17 Ne gyűlöld testvéredet szívedben, intve intsed embertársadat, hogy ne viselj miatta bűnt.
“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
18 Ne állj bosszút és ne tarts haragot néped fiai ellen, szeresd felebarátodat, mint tenmagadat; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall not take vengeance or revenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· your neighbor as yourself. I am Adonai.
19 Törvényeimet őrizzétek meg, barmodat ne egyesítsd kétféle fajban, meződet ne vesd be kétféle maggal, és kétféléből való ruha, vegyes szövés ne jöjjön testedre.
“‘You shall keep my regulations. “‘You shall not cross-breed different kinds of animals. “‘You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘Don’t wear a garment made of two kinds of material.
20 Midőn férfi hál nővel, közösülve vele, és az rabszolganő, odaszánva egy férfinak, de ki nem váltatott, vagy szabadság nem adatott neki, büntetés érje, ne ölessenek meg, mert nem volt fölszabadítva.
“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 Vigye el bűnáldozatát az Örökkévalónak a találkozás sátorának bejáratához: bűnáldozati kost.
He shall bring his trespass offering to Adonai, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.
22 És szerezzen számára engesztelést a pap a bűnáldozat kosával az Örökkévaló színe előtt, vétke miatt, melyet vétkezett, és megbocsáttatik neki a vétke, melyet vétkezett.
The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Adonai for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.
23 És ha bementek az országba és ültettek bármely gyümölcsfát, érintetlenül hagyjátok gyümölcsét; három évig legyen nektek érintetlen, ne egyék meg.
“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years they shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 A negyedik évben pedig legyen minden gyümölcse szent, hálaadásul az Örökkévalónak.
But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Adonai.
25 Az ötödik évben azonban ehetitek gyümölcsét, hogy szaporítsa nektek termését; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Adonai your God.
26 Ne egyetek a vér mellett; ne jósoljatok és ne jövendöljetek.
“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.
27 Ne nyírjátok kerekre hajatok szélét és ne rontsd el szakállad szélét.
“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.
28 Bevágást halott miatt ne csináljatok testeteken és bélyegírást ne csináljatok magatokon; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Adonai.
29 Ne szentségtelenítsd meg leányodat, hogy paráznaságra engedd, hogy ne paráználkodjék az ország és megteljék az ország fajtalansággal.
“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 Szombatjaimat őrizzétek meg és szentélyemet féljétek; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Adonai.
31 Ne forduljatok a szellemidézőkhöz, se a jóslókhoz, ne törekedjetek tisztátalanná válni általuk; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
“‘Don’t turn to those who are spirit-mediums, nor to the sorcerers. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Adonai your God.
32 Ősz ember előtt állj föl és tiszteld az öreg színét; félj Istenedtől, én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall rise up before the silver haired, and honor the face of an elder old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
33 És ha tartózkodik nálad idegen, országtokban, ne sanyargassátok őt.
“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 Mint a bennszülött közületek, legyen nektek az idegen, aki tartózkodik nálatok és szeresd őt, mint tenmagadat, mert idegenek voltatok Egyiptom országában; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek.
The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. I am Adonai your God.
35 Ne kövessetek el jogtalanságot az ítéletben, se mértékben, se súlyban, se űrmértékben.
“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.
36 Igaz mérleg, igaz súlykő, igaz éfo, igaz hín legyen nálatok; én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek, aki kivezettelek benneteket Egyiptom országából.
You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah [0.63 bushels; 5.9 gal; 22 L], and a just hin [0.98 gal; 3.7 L]. I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
37 Őrizzétek meg minden törvényeimet és minden rendeleteimet, hogy megtegyétek azokat; én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
“‘You shall observe all my regulations, and all my judgments, and do them. I am Adonai.’”
