2 शमूएल 22

1 १ जिस समय यहोवा ने दाऊद को उसके सब शत्रुओं और शाऊल के हाथ से बचाया था, उस समय उसने यहोवा के लिये इस गीत के वचन गाए:

And David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, in the day in which the Lord rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.

2 २ उसने कहा, “यहोवा मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा गढ़, मेरा छुड़ानेवाला,

And the song was thus: O Lord, my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer,

3 ३ मेरा चट्टानरूपी परमेश्वर है, जिसका मैं शरणागत हूँ, मेरी ढाल, मेरा बचानेवाला सींग, मेरा ऊँचा गढ़, और मेरा शरणस्थान है, हे मेरे उद्धारकर्ता, तू उपद्रव से मेरा उद्धार किया करता है।

my God; he shall be to me my guard, I will trust in him: [he is] my protector, and the horn of my salvation, my helper, and my sure refuge; you shall save me from the unjust man.

4 ४ मैं यहोवा को जो स्तुति के योग्य है पुकारूँगा, और मैं अपने शत्रुओं से बचाया जाऊँगा।

I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised, and I shall be saved from my enemies.

5 ५ “मृत्यु के तरंगों ने तो मेरे चारों ओर घेरा डाला, नास्तिकपन की धाराओं ने मुझ को घबरा दिया था;

For the troubles of death compassed me, the floods of iniquity amazed me:

6 ६ अधोलोक की रस्सियाँ मेरे चारों ओर थीं, मृत्यु के फंदे मेरे सामने थे। (Sheol h7585)

the pangs of death surrounded me, the agonies of death prevented me. (Sheol h7585)

7 ७ अपने संकट में मैंने यहोवा को पुकारा; और अपने परमेश्वर के सम्मुख चिल्लाया। उसने मेरी बात को अपने मन्दिर में से सुन लिया, और मेरी दुहाई उसके कानों में पहुँची।

When I am afflicted I will call upon the Lord, and will cry to my God, and he shall hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come into his ears.

8 ८ “तब पृथ्वी हिल गई और डोल उठी; और आकाश की नींवें काँपकर बहुत ही हिल गईं, क्योंकि वह अति क्रोधित हुआ था।

And the earth was troubled and quaked, and the foundations of heaven were confounded and torn asunder, because the Lord was angry with them.

9 ९ उसके नथनों से धुआँ निकला, और उसके मुँह से आग निकलकर भस्म करने लगी; जिससे कोयले दहक उठे।

There went up a smoke in his wrath, and fire out of his mouth devours: coals were kindled at it.

10 १० और वह स्वर्ग को झुकाकर नीचे उतर आया; और उसके पाँवों तले घोर अंधकार छाया था।

And he bowed the heavens, and came down, and [there was] darkness under his feet.

11 ११ वह करूब पर सवार होकर उड़ा, और पवन के पंखों पर चढ़कर दिखाई दिया।

And he rode upon the cherubs and did fly, and was seen upon the wings of the wind.

12 १२ उसने अपने चारों ओर के अंधियारे को, मेघों के समूह, और आकाश की काली घटाओं को अपना मण्डप बनाया।

And he made darkness his hiding-place; his tabernacle round about him was the darkness of waters, he condensed it with the clouds of the air.

13 १३ उसके सम्मुख के तेज से, आग के कोयले दहक उठे।

At the brightness before him coals of fire were kindled.

14 १४ यहोवा आकाश में से गरजा, और परमप्रधान ने अपनी वाणी सुनाई।

The Lord thundered out of heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice.

15 १५ उसने तीर चला-चलाकर मेरे शत्रुओं को तितर-बितर कर दिया, और बिजली गिरा गिराकर उसको परास्त कर दिया।

And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, and he flashed lightning, and dismayed them.

16 १६ तब समुद्र की थाह दिखाई देने लगी, और जगत की नेवें खुल गईं, यह तो यहोवा की डाँट से, और उसके नथनों की साँस की झोंक से हुआ।

And the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuke of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of his anger.

17 १७ “उसने ऊपर से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थाम लिया, और मुझे गहरे जल में से खींचकर बाहर निकाला।

He sent from above and took me; he drew me out of many waters.

18 १८ उसने मुझे मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और मेरे बैरियों से, जो मुझसे अधिक सामर्थी थे, मुझे छुड़ा लिया।

He delivered me from my strong enemies, from them that hated me, for they were stronger than I.

19 १९ उन्होंने मेरी विपत्ति के दिन मेरा सामना तो किया; परन्तु यहोवा मेरा आश्रय था।

The days of my affliction prevented me; but the Lord was my stay.

20 २० उसने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े स्थान में पहुँचाया; उसने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझसे प्रसन्न था।

And he brought me into a wide place, and rescued me, because he delighted in me.

21 २१ “यहोवा ने मुझसे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; मेरे कामों की शुद्धता के अनुसार उसने मुझे बदला दिया।

And the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness; even according to the purity of my hands did he recompense me.

22 २२ क्योंकि मैं यहोवा के मार्गों पर चलता रहा, और अपने परमेश्वर से मुँह मोड़कर दुष्ट न बना।

Because, I kept the ways of the Lord, and did not wickedly depart from my God.

23 २३ उसके सब नियम तो मेरे सामने बने रहे, और मैं उसकी विधियों से हट न गया।

For all his judgments and his ordinances [were] before me: I departed not from them.

24 २४ मैं उसके साथ खरा बना रहा, और अधर्म से अपने को बचाए रहा, जिसमें मेरे फँसने का डर था।

And I shall be blameless before him, and will keep myself from my iniquity.

25 २५ इसलिए यहोवा ने मुझे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार बदला दिया, मेरी उस शुद्धता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।

And the Lord will recompense me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands in his eye-sight.

26 २६ “विश्वासयोग्य के साथ तू अपने को विश्वासयोग्य दिखाता; खरे पुरुष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है;

With the holy you will be holy, and with the perfect man you will be perfect,

27 २७ शुद्ध के साथ तू अपने को शुद्ध दिखाता; और टेढ़े के साथ तू तिरछा बनता है।

and with the excellent you will be excellent, and with the froward you will be froward.

28 २८ और दीन लोगों को तो तू बचाता है, परन्तु अभिमानियों पर दृष्टि करके उन्हें नीचा करता है।

And you will save the poor people, and will bring down the eyes of the haughty.

29 २९ हे यहोवा, तू ही मेरा दीपक है, और यहोवा मेरे अंधियारे को दूर करके उजियाला कर देता है।

For you, Lord, [are] my lamp, and the Lord shall shine forth to me in my darkness.

30 ३० तेरी सहायता से मैं दल पर धावा करता, अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं शहरपनाह को फाँद जाता हूँ।

For by you shall I run [as] a girded man, and by my God shall I leap over a wall.

31 ३१ परमेश्वर की गति खरी है; यहोवा का वचन ताया हुआ है; वह अपने सब शरणागतों की ढाल है।

As for the Mighty One, his way [is] blameless: the word of the Lord [is] strong [and] tried in the fire: he is a protector to all that put their trust in him.

32 ३२ “यहोवा को छोड़ क्या कोई परमेश्वर है? हमारे परमेश्वर को छोड़ क्या और कोई चट्टान है?

Who [is] strong, but the Lord? and who will be a Creator except our God?

33 ३३ यह वही परमेश्वर है, जो मेरा अति दृढ़ किला है, वह खरे मनुष्य को अपने मार्ग में लिए चलता है।

[It is] the Mighty One who strengthens me with might, and has prepared my way without fault.

34 ३४ वह मेरे पैरों को हिरनी के समान बना देता है, और मुझे ऊँचे स्थानों पर खड़ा करता है।

He makes my feet like hart's feet, and sets me upon the high places.

35 ३५ वह मेरे हाथों को युद्ध करना सिखाता है, यहाँ तक कि मेरी बाँहे पीतल के धनुष को झुका देती हैं।

He teaches my hands to war, and has broken a brazen bow by my arm.

36 ३६ तूने मुझ को अपने उद्धार की ढाल दी है, और तेरी नम्रता मुझे बढ़ाती है।

And you have given me the shield of my salvation, and your propitious dealing has increased me,

37 ३७ तू मेरे पैरों के लिये स्थान चौड़ा करता है, और मेरे पैर नहीं फिसले।

so as to make room under me for my going, and my legs did not totter.

38 ३८ मैंने अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा करके उनका सत्यानाश कर दिया, और जब तक उनका अन्त न किया तब तक न लौटा।

I will pursue my enemies, and will utterly destroy them; and I will not turn again till I have consumed them.

39 ३९ मैंने उनका अन्त किया; और उन्हें ऐसा छेद डाला है कि वे उठ नहीं सकते; वरन् वे तो मेरे पाँवों के नीचे गिरे पड़े हैं।

And I will crush them, and they shall not rise; and they shall fall under my feet.

40 ४० तूने युद्ध के लिये मेरी कमर बलवन्त की; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे ही सामने परास्त कर दिया।

And you shall strengthen me with power for the war; you shall cause them that rise up against me to bow down under me.

41 ४१ और तूने मेरे शत्रुओं की पीठ मुझे दिखाई, ताकि मैं अपने बैरियों को काट डालूँ।

And you have caused mine enemies to flee before me, even them that hated me, and you have slain them.

42 ४२ उन्होंने बाट तो जोही, परन्तु कोई बचानेवाला न मिला; उन्होंने यहोवा की भी बाट जोही, परन्तु उसने उनको कोई उत्तर न दिया।

They shall cry, and there shall be no helper; to the Lord, but he hearkens not to them.

43 ४३ तब मैंने उनको कूट कूटकर भूमि की धूल के समान कर दिया, मैंने उन्हें सड़कों और गली कूचों की कीचड़ के समान पटककर चारों ओर फैला दिया।

And I ground them as the dust of the earth, I beat them small as the mire of the streets.

44 ४४ “फिर तूने मुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से छुड़ाकर अन्यजातियों का प्रधान होने के लिये मेरी रक्षा की; जिन लोगों को मैं न जानता था वे भी मेरे अधीन हो जाएँगे।

And you shall deliver me from the striving of the peoples, you shall keep me [to be] the head of the Gentiles: a people which I knew not served me.

45 ४५ परदेशी मेरी चापलूसी करेंगे; वे मेरा नाम सुनते ही मेरे वश में आएँगे।

The strange children feigned [obedience] to me; they listened to me as soon as they heard.

46 ४६ परदेशी मुर्झाएँगे, और अपने किलों में से थरथराते हुए निकलेंगे।

The strange children shall be cast away, and shall be overthrown out of their hiding places.

47 ४७ “यहोवा जीवित है; मेरी चट्टान धन्य है, और परमेश्वर जो मेरे उद्धार की चट्टान है, उसकी महिमा हो।

The Lord lives, and blessed [be] my guardian, and my God, my strong keeper, shall be exalted.

48 ४८ धन्य है मेरा पलटा लेनेवाला परमेश्वर, जो देश-देश के लोगों को मेरे वश में कर देता है,

The Lord who avenges me [is] strong, chastening the nations under me,

49 ४९ और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं के बीच से निकालता है; हाँ, तू मुझे मेरे विरोधियों से ऊँचा करता है, और उपद्रवी पुरुष से बचाता है।

and bringing me out from my enemies: and you shall set me on high from among those that rise up against me: you shall deliver me from the violent man.

50 ५० “इस कारण, हे यहोवा, मैं जाति-जाति के सामने तेरा धन्यवाद करूँगा, और तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊँगा

Therefore will I confess to you, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.

51 ५१ वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा का बड़ा उद्धार करता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद, और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करुणा करता रहेगा।”

He magnifies the salvation of his king, and works mercy for his anointed, even for David and for his seed for ever.
