भजन संहिता 21

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. याहवेह, आपकी शक्ति पर राजा हर्षित है. आपके द्वारा प्रदान किये गये उद्धार से राजा का हर्षातिरेक देखते ही बनता है!

For the leader. A psalm of David. The king rejoices, Lord, in your might, how he exults because of your help!

2 आपने उसके हृदय का मनोरथ पूर्ण किया है, आपने उसके अनुरोध को पूर्ण करने में अस्वीकार नहीं किया.

You have granted to him his heart’s desire, you have not withheld his lips’ request. (Selah)

3 आपने उत्कृष्ट आशीषों के साथ उसका स्वागत किया है, आपने उसके सिर को कुन्दन के मुकुट से सुशोभित किया है.

You came to meet him with rich blessings, you set on his head a golden crown.

4 राजा ने आपसे जीवन की प्रार्थना की, आपने उसे जीवनदान किया— हां, सदैव का जीवन.

He asked you for life, you gave it – many long days, forever and ever.

5 आपके द्वारा दिए गये विजय से राजा की महिमा ऊंची हुई है; आपने उसे ऐश्वर्य एवं तेज से विभूषित किया है.

Great is his glory because of your help, honour and majesty you lay upon him.

6 निःसंदेह आपने उसे सर्वदा के लिये आशीषें प्रदान की हैं, अपनी उपस्थिति के आनंद से आपने उसे उल्‍लसित किया है.

For you make him most blessed forever, you make him glad with the joy of your presence.

7 यह इसलिये कि महाराज का भरोसा याहवेह पर है; सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर की करुणा, प्रेम के कारण राजा अटल रहेगा.

For the king puts always his trust in the Lord; the Most High, in his love, will preserve him unshaken.

8 आप समस्त शत्रुओं को ढूंढ़ निकालेंगे; आपका बाहुबल उन सभी को कैद कर लाएगा, जो आपसे घृणा करते हैं.

Your hand will reach all your foes, your right hand, all who hate you.

9 आपके प्रकट होने पर, वे सभी जलते भट्टी में जल जाएंगे. अपने कोप में याहवेह उन्हें निगल जाएगा, उनकी अग्नि उन्हें भस्म कर देगी.

You will make them like a furnace of fire, when you appear, Lord. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire will devour them.

10 आप उनकी सन्तति को पृथ्वी से मिटा देंगे, उनके वंशज मनुष्यों के मध्य नहीं रह जाएंगे.

You will sweep their offspring from the earth, their children from humanity.

11 यद्यपि आपके विरुद्ध उनकी योजना बुराई करने की है तथा वे युक्ति भी रचेंगे, वे सफल न हो पाएंगे.

When they scheme against you and hatch evil plots – they will fail.

12 क्योंकि जब आप धनुष से उन पर निशाना लगाएंगे, आपके कारण वे पीठ दिखाकर भाग खड़े होंगे.

For you aim your bow at their faces, make them turn in flight.

13 अपनी शक्ति में, याहवेह, आप ऊंचे होते जाएं; हम आपके सामर्थ्य का गुणगान करेंगे.

Be exalted, Lord, in your strength, to your might we shall sing and make music.
