यशायाह 66

1 याहवेह यों कहते हैं: “स्वर्ग मेरा सिंहासन है, तथा पृथ्वी मेरे चरणों की चौकी है. तुम मेरे लिये कैसा भवन बनाओगे? कहां है वह जगह जहां मैं आराम कर सकूंगा?

This is what Yahweh says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I may rest?

2 क्योंकि ये सब मेरे ही हाथों से बने, और ये सब मेरे ही हैं.” यह याहवेह का वचन है. “परंतु मैं उसी का ध्यान रखूंगा: जो व्यक्ति दीन और दुःखी हो, तथा जो मेरे आदेशों का पालन सच्चाई से करेगा.

My hand has made all these things; that is how these things came to be—this is Yahweh's declaration. This is the man of whom I approve, the broken and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at my word.

3 जो बैल की बलि करता है वह उस व्यक्ति के समान है जो किसी मनुष्य को मार डालता है, और जो मेमने की बलि चढ़ाता है वह उस व्यक्ति के समान है जो किसी कुत्ते की गर्दन काटता है; जो अन्‍नबलि चढ़ाता है वह उस व्यक्ति के समान है जो सूअर का लहू चढ़ाता है, और जो धूप जलाता है उस व्यक्ति के समान है जो किसी मूर्ति की उपासना करता है. क्योंकि उन्होंने तो अपना अपना मार्ग चुन लिया है, और वे अपने आपको संतुष्ट करते हैं;

He who slaughters an ox also murders a man; he who sacrifices a lamb also breaks a dog's neck; he who offers a grain offering offers swine's blood; he who offers a memorial of incense also blesses wickedness. They have chosen their own ways, and they take pleasure in their abominations.

4 अतः उनके लिए दंड मैं निर्धारित करके उन्हें वही दंड दूंगा, जो उनके लिए कष्ट से भरा होगा. क्योंकि जब मैंने बुलाया, तब किसी ने उत्तर नहीं दिया, जब मैंने उनसे बात की, तब उन्होंने सुनना न चाहा. उन्होंने वही किया जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा है, और उन्होंने वही चुना जो मुझे अच्छा नहीं लगता.”

In the same way I will choose their own punishment; I will bring on them what they fear, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, no one listened. They did what was evil in my sight, and chose to do what displeases me.”

5 तुम सभी जो याहवेह के वचन को मानते हो सुनो: “तुम्हारे भाई बंधु जो तुमसे नफरत करते हैं, जो तुम्हें मेरे नाम के कारण अलग कर देते हैं, ‘वे यह कह रहे हैं कि याहवेह की महिमा तो बढ़े, जिससे हम देखें कि कैसा है तुम्हारा आनंद.’ किंतु वे लज्जित किए जाएंगे.

Hear the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at his word, “Your brothers who hate and exclude you for my name's sake have said, 'May Yahweh be glorified, then we will see your joy,' but they will be put to shame.

6 नगर से हलचल तथा मंदिर से एक आवाज सुनाई दे रही है! यह आवाज याहवेह की है जो अपने शत्रुओं को उनके कामों का बदला दे रहे हैं.

A sound of battle tumult comes from the city, a sound from the temple, the sound of Yahweh paying back his enemies.

7 “प्रसववेदना शुरू होने के पहले ही, उसका प्रसव हो गया; पीड़ा शुरू होने के पहले ही, उसे एक पुत्र पैदा हो गया.

Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before pain is upon her, she gave birth to a son.

8 क्या कभी किसी ने ऐसा सुना है? किसकी दृष्टि में कभी ऐसा देखा गया है? क्या यह हो सकता है कि एक ही दिन में एक देश उत्पन्‍न हो जाए? क्या यह संभव है कि एक क्षण में ही राष्ट्र बन जायें? जैसे ही ज़ियोन को प्रसव पीड़ा शुरू हुई उसने अपने पुत्रों को जन्म दे दिया.

Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Will a land be born in one day? Can a nation be established in one moment? Yet as soon as Zion goes into labor, she gives birth to her children.

9 क्या मैं प्रसव बिंदु तक लाकर प्रसव को रोक दूं?” याहवेह यह पूछते हैं! “अथवा क्या मैं जो गर्भ देता हूं, क्या मैं गर्भ को बंद कर दूं?” तुम्हारा परमेश्वर कहते हैं!

Do I bring a baby to the birth opening and not permit the child to be born?—asks Yahweh. Or do I bring a child to moment of delivery and then hold it back?—asks your God.”

10 “तुम सभी जिन्हें येरूशलेम से प्रेम है, येरूशलेम के साथ खुश होओ, उसके लिए आनंद मनाओ; तुम सभी जो उसके लिए रोते थे, अब खुश हो जाओ.

Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her, all you who mourned over her!

11 कि तुम उसके सांत्वना देनेवाले स्तनों से स्तनपान कर तृप्‍त हो सको; तुम पियोगे तथा उसकी बहुतायत तुम्हारे आनंद का कारण होगा.”

For you will nurse and be satisfied; with her breasts you will be comforted; for you will drink them to the full and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

12 क्योंकि याहवेह यों कहते हैं: “तुम यह देखोगे, कि मैं उसमें शांति नदी के समान, और अन्यजातियों के धन को बाढ़ के समान बहा दूंगा; और तुम उसमें से पियोगे तथा तुम गोद में उठाए जाओगे तुम्हें घुटनों पर बैठाकर पुचकारा जाएगा.

This is what Yahweh says, “I am about to spread prosperity over her like a river, and the riches of the nations like an overflowing stream. You will nurse at her side, be carried in her arms, and be dandled on her knees.

13 तुम्हें मेरे द्वारा उसी तरह तसल्ली दी जाएगी, जिस तरह माता तसल्ली देती है; यह तसल्ली येरूशलेम में ही दी जाएगी.”

As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

14 तुम यह सब देखोगे, तथा तुम्हारा मन आनंद से भर जाएगा और तुम्हारी हड्डियां नई घास के समान हो जाएंगी; याहवेह का हाथ उनके सेवकों पर प्रकट होगा, किंतु वह अपने शत्रुओं से क्रोधित होंगे.

You will see this, and your heart will rejoice, and your bones will sprout like the tender grass. The hand of Yahweh will be made known to his servants, but he will show his anger against his enemies.

15 याहवेह आग में प्रकट होंगे, तथा उनके रथ आंधी के समान होंगे; उनका क्रोध जलजलाहट के साथ, तथा उनकी डांट अग्नि ज्वाला में प्रकट होगी.

For look, Yahweh is coming with fire, and his chariots are coming like the windstorm to bring the heat of his anger and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 क्योंकि आग के द्वारा ही याहवेह का न्याय निष्पक्ष होगा उनकी तलवार की मार सब प्राणियों पर होगी, याहवेह द्वारा संहार किए गये अनेक होंगे.

For Yahweh executes judgment on mankind by fire and with his sword. Those killed by Yahweh will be many.

17 याहवेह ने कहा, “वे जो अपने आपको पवित्र और शुद्ध करते हैं ताकि वे उन बागों में जाएं, और जो छुपकर सूअर या चूहे का मांस तथा घृणित वस्तुएं खाते हैं उन सभी का अंत निश्चित है.

They consecrate themselves and make themselves pure, so they may enter the gardens, following the one in the middle of those who eat the flesh of pig and abominable things like mice. “They will come to an end—this is Yahweh's declaration.

18 “क्योंकि मैं, उनके काम एवं उनके विचार जानता हूं; और मैं सब देशों तथा भाषा बोलने वालों को इकट्ठा करूंगा, वे सभी आएंगे तथा वे मेरी महिमा देखेंगे.

For I know their deeds and their thoughts. The time is coming when I will gather all nations and languages. They will come and will see my glory.

19 “उनके बीच मैं एक चिन्ह प्रकट करूंगा, तथा उनमें से बचे हुओं को अन्यजातियों के पास भेजूंगा. तरशीश, पूत, लूद, मेशेख, तूबल तथा यावन के देशों में, जिन्होंने न तो मेरा नाम सुना है, न ही उन्होंने मेरे प्रताप को देखा है, वहां वे मेरी महिमा को दिखाएंगे.

I will set a mighty sign among them. Then I will send survivors from them to the nations: To Tarshish, Put, and Lud, archers who draw their bows, to Tubal, Javan, and to the distant coastlands where they have not heard about me nor seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations.

20 तब वे सब देशों में से तुम्हारे भाई-बन्धु याहवेह के लिए अर्पण समान अश्वों, रथों, पालकियों, खच्चरों एवं ऊंटों को लेकर येरूशलेम में मेरे पवित्र पर्वत पर आएंगे. जिस प्रकार इस्राएल वंश याहवेह के भवन में शुद्ध पात्रों में अन्‍नबलि लेकर आएंगे.” याहवेह की यही वाणी है.

They will bring back all your brothers out of all the nations, as an offering to Yahweh. They will come on horses, and in chariots, in wagons, on mules, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem—says Yahweh. For the people of Israel will bring a grain offering in a clean vessel into the house of Yahweh.

21 “तब उनमें से मैं कुछ को पुरोहित तथा कुछ को लेवी होने के लिए अलग करूंगा,” यह याहवेह की घोषणा है.

Some of these I will even choose as priests and Levites—says Yahweh.

22 “क्योंकि ठीक जिस प्रकार नया आकाश और नई पृथ्वी जो मैं बनाने पर हूं मेरे सम्मुख बनी रहेगी,” याहवेह की यही वाणी है, “उसी प्रकार तुम्हारा वंश और नाम भी बना रहेगा.

For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I will make will remain before me—this is Yahweh's declaration—so your descendants will remain, and your name will remain.

23 यह ऐसा होगा कि एक नये चांद से दूसरे नये चांद के दिन तक और एक विश्राम दिन से दूसरे विश्राम दिन तक सभी लोग मेरे सामने दंडवत करने आएंगे,” यह याहवेह का वचन है.

From one month to the next, and from one Sabbath to the next, all people will come to bow down to me—says Yahweh.

24 “तब वे बाहर जाएंगे तथा उन व्यक्तियों के शवों को देखेंगे, जिन्होंने मेरे विरुद्ध अत्याचार किया था; क्योंकि उनके कीड़े नहीं मरेंगे और उनकी आग कभी न बुझेगी, वे सभी मनुष्यों के लिए घृणित बन जाएंगे.”

They will go out and see the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me, for the worms that eat them will not die, and the fire that consumes them will not be quenched; and it will be an abhorrence to all flesh.”
