ઝખાર્યા 4

1 ૧ મારી સાથે જે દૂત વાત કરતો હતો તે પાછો આવ્યો અને જાગેલા માણસની પેઠે તેણે મને ઊંઘમાંથી ઉઠાડ્યો.

Then the messenger who talked with me came again and woke me, as someone who is woken from sleep.

2 ૨ તેણે મને કહ્યું, “તું શું જુએ છે?” મેં કહ્યું, “હું પૂરેપૂરું સોનાનું બનેલું દીપવૃક્ષ જોઉં છું જેની ટોચ પર કોડિયું છે. તેના પર સાત દીવા છે અને જે દીવા તેની ટોચે છે તે દરેકને સાત દિવેટ છે.

He said to me, ‘What do you see?’ I said, ‘I see a candlestick, all of gold, with a bowl on its top, and seven lamps on it. There are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on its top,

3 ૩ તેની પાસે બે જૈતૂનના વૃક્ષો છે, તેમાંનું એક કોડિયાની જમણી બાજુએ અને બીજું કોડિયાની ડાબી બાજુએ.”

and two olive trees next to it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on its left side.’

4 ૪ ફરીથી મારી સાથે વાત કરનાર દૂતને મેં કહ્યું, “હે મારા માલિક, તેનો અર્થ શો થાય છે?”

I said to the messenger who talked with me, ‘What are these, my lord?’

5 ૫ જે દૂત મારી સાથે વાત કરતો હતો તેણે જવાબ આપીને મને કહ્યું, “તેનો અર્થ શો છે તે શું તું જાણતો નથી?” મેં કહ્યું, “ના, મારા માલિક.”

Then the messenger who talked with me answered, ‘Don’t you know what these are?’ And I said. ‘No, my lord.’

6 ૬ તેણે મને જવાબ આપીને કહ્યું, ત્યારે દૂતે મને કહ્યું, “ઝરુબ્બાબેલને યહોવાહનું વચન આ છે: ‘બળથી નહિ કે સામર્થ્યથી નહિ પણ મારા આત્માથી,’ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે,”

He said to me, ‘This is the message of the Lord regarding Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts,

7 ૭ “હે ઊંચા પર્વત, તું કોણ છે? ઝરુબ્બાબેલ આગળ તું સપાટ થઈ જશે, તેના પર ‘કૃપા થાઓ, કૃપા થાઓ, એવા પોકારસહિત ટોચના પથ્થરને બહાર લાવશે.”

will I make the great mountain before Zerubbabel a plain. He will bring forth the top stones with shoutings of, “Grace, grace, to it.”’

8 ૮ યહોવાહનું વચન મારી પાસે આવ્યું અને કહ્યું,

Moreover this message of the Lord came to me:

9 ૯ “ઝરુબ્બાબેલના હાથથી આ પવિત્રસ્થાનનો પાયો નંખાયો છે અને તેના હાથથી તે પૂરું થશે, ત્યારે તું જાણશે કે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે મને તારી પાસે મોકલ્યો છે, એવું ઝરુબ્બાબેલ કહે છે,

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands will also finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

10 ૧૦ નાના કામોના આ દિવસને કોણે ધિક્કાર્યો છે? આ લોકો ઝરુબ્બાબેલના હાથમાં ઓળંબો જોઈને આનંદ કરશે. “યહોવાહની આ સાત દીવારૂપી આંખો, આખી પૃથ્વી પર સર્વત્ર ફરતી રહે છે.”

For who has despised the day of small things? They will rejoice, and will see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. (The seven lamps are the eyes of the Lord that search all around the world.)

11 ૧૧ પછી મેં દૂતને પૂછ્યું, “દીપવૃક્ષની જમણી બાજુએ અને તેની ડાબી બાજુએ બે જૈતૂન વૃક્ષો છે તે શું છે?”

Again I asked, ‘What are these two olive trees on the right side of the candlestick and on its left side?’

12 ૧૨ વળી મેં ફરીથી તેની સાથે વાત કરીને કહ્યું, “જૈતૂન વૃક્ષની આ બે ડાળીઓ કે જે સોનાની બે દિવેટો છે. તેમાંથી તેલનો પ્રવાહ વહે છે તેઓ શું છે?”

Again, ‘What are these two branches of the olive trees, which are pouring out the golden oil through the two golden pipes?’

13 ૧૩ તેણે મારી સાથે વાત કરવાનું ચાલું રાખ્યું, “આ શું છે તે શું તું નથી જાણતો?” અને મેં કહ્યું, “ના, મારા માલિક.”

He answered me, ‘Don’t you now what these are?’ And I said, ‘No, my lord.’

14 ૧૪ તેણે કહ્યું, “તેઓ તો આખી પૃથ્વીના પ્રભુ પાસે ઊભા રહેનાર બે અભિષિક્તો છે.”

Then he explained, ‘They are the two anointed ones who attend the Lord of all the earth.’
