ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 94

1 ૧ હે બદલો વાળનાર ઈશ્વર, યહોવાહ, હે બદલો વાળનાર ઈશ્વર, અમારા પર પ્રકાશ પાડો.

A Psalm of David for the fourth [day] of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared himself.

2 ૨ હે પૃથ્વીના ન્યાયાધીશ, ઊઠો, ગર્વિષ્ઠોને બદલો વાળી આપો.

Be thou exalted, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 ૩ હે યહોવાહ, દુષ્ટો ક્યાં સુધી, ક્યાં સુધી દુષ્ટો જીત પ્રાપ્ત કરશે?

How long shall sinners, O Lord, how long shall sinners boast?

4 ૪ તેઓ અભિમાની અને ઉગ્ર વાતો કરે છે અને તેઓ સર્વ બડાઈ મારે છે.

They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak [so].

5 ૫ હે યહોવાહ, તેઓ તમારા લોકો પર જુલમ કરે છે; તેઓ તમારા વારસાને દુ: ખ આપે છે.

They have afflicted thy people, O Lord, and hurt thine heritage.

6 ૬ તેઓ વિધવાને અને વિદેશીઓને મારી નાખે છે અને તેઓ અનાથની હત્યા કરે છે.

They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger.

7 ૭ તેઓ કહે છે, “યહોવાહ જોશે નહિ, યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર ધ્યાન આપશે નહિ.”

And they said, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob understand.

8 ૮ હે અજ્ઞાની લોકો, તમે ધ્યાન આપો; મૂર્ખો, તમે ક્યારે બુદ્ધિમાન થશો?

Understand now, ye simple among the people; and ye fools, at length be wise.

9 ૯ જે કાનનો બનાવનાર છે, તે શું નહિ સાંભળે? જે આંખના રચનાર છે, તે શું નહિ જુએ?

He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive?

10 ૧૦ જે દેશોને શિસ્તમાં રાખે છે, તે શું તમને સુધારશે નહિ? તે જ એક છે કે જે માણસને ડહાપણ આપે છે.

He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, [even] he that teaches man knowledge?

11 ૧૧ યહોવાહ માણસોના વિચારો જાણે છે, કે તે વ્યર્થ છે.

The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.

12 ૧૨ હે યહોવાહ, તમે જેને શિસ્તમાં રાખો છો, જેને તમે તમારા નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાંથી શીખવો છો, તે દરેક આશીર્વાદિત છે.

Blessed is the man whomsoever thou shalt chasten, O Lord, and shalt teach him out of thy law;

13 ૧૩ દુષ્ટને માટે ખાડો ખોદાય ત્યાં સુધી તમે તેને સંકટના દિવસોમાંથી શાંતિ આપશો.

to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one.

14 ૧૪ કેમ કે યહોવાહ પોતાના લોકોને તરછોડશે નહિ તે પોતાના વારસાનો ત્યાગ કરશે નહિ.

For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

15 ૧૫ કારણ કે ન્યાયીકરણ ન્યાયીપણા તરફ પાછું વળશે; અને સર્વ યથાર્થ હૃદયવાળા તેને અનુસરશે.

until righteousness return to judgment, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. (Pause)

16 ૧૬ મારા બચાવમાં મારે માટે દુષ્કર્મીઓની સામે કોણ ઊઠશે? મારે માટે દુષ્ટની વિરુદ્ધ કોણ ઊભો રહેશે?

Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity?

17 ૧૭ જો યહોવાહે મારી સહાય કરી ન હોત તો મારો આત્મા વહેલો છાનો થઈ જાત.

If the Lord had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Hades.

18 ૧૮ જ્યારે મેં કહ્યું કે, “મારો પગ લપસી જાય છે,” ત્યારે, હે યહોવાહ, તમારી કૃપાએ મને પકડી લીધો છે.

If I said, My foot has been moved;

19 ૧૯ જ્યારે મારા અંતરમાં પુષ્કળ ચિંતા થાય છે, ત્યારે તમારા દિલાસાઓ મારા આત્માને ખુશ કરે છે.

thy mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, thy consolation have soothed my soul.

20 ૨૦ દુષ્ટ અધિકારીઓ નિયમસર ઉપદ્રવ યોજે છે, તેઓ શું તારી સાથે મેળાપ રાખશે?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by an ordinance?

21 ૨૧ તેઓ ન્યાયીઓની વિરુદ્ધ કાવતરાં રચે છે અને નિર્દોષને દોષિત ઠરાવીને તેઓને મૃત્યદંડ આપે છે.

They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

22 ૨૨ પણ યહોવાહ મારો ઊંચો ગઢ છે અને મારા ઈશ્વર મારા આશ્રયના ખડક છે.

But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope.

23 ૨૩ તેમણે તેઓને તેઓનો અન્યાય વાળી આપ્યો છે અને તે તેઓની દુષ્ટતાને માટે તેઓનો સંહાર કરશે. યહોવાહ આપણા ઈશ્વર તેઓનો સંહાર કરશે.

And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them.
