ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 119

1 ૧ આલેફ. જેના માર્ગો સીધા છે, જેઓ યહોવાહના નિયમો પ્રમાણે ચાલે છે, તેઓ આશીર્વાદિત છે.

Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

2 ૨ જેઓ તેમનાં સાક્ષ્ય પાળે છે તેઓ આશીર્વાદિત છે, તેઓ પૂર્ણ હૃદયથી તેમને શોધે છે.

Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.

3 ૩ તેઓ અન્યાય કરતા નથી; તેઓ તેમના માર્ગમાં ચાલે છે.

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

4 ૪ તમારાં શાસનો પાળવાની તમે અમને આજ્ઞા આપી છે કે જેથી અમે તેનું ખૂબ કાળજીપૂર્વક પાલન કરીએ.

Thou hast commanded [us] to keep thy precepts diligently.

5 ૫ તમારા વિધિઓ પાળવાને માટે મારા વિચારો દ્રઢ થાય તો કેવું સારું!

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

6 ૬ જ્યારે હું તમારી બધી આજ્ઞાઓનો વિચાર કરું, ત્યારે હું શરમિંદો નહિ થાઉં.

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 ૭ જ્યારે હું તમારા ન્યાયી સાક્ષ્યો શીખીશ ત્યારે હું મારા શુદ્ધ અંતઃકરણથી તમારો આભાર માનીશ.

I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

8 ૮ હું તમારા વિધિઓને અનુસરીશ; મારો ત્યાગ ન કરો.

I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

9 ૯ બેથ. જુવાન માણસ કેવી રીતે પોતાનું જીવન શુદ્ધ રાખી શકે? તમારા વચનો પાળવાથી.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word.

10 ૧૦ મેં મારા ખરા હૃદયથી તમને શોધ્યા છે; તમારી આજ્ઞાઓથી ચૂકીને મને ભટકવા ન દો.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 ૧૧ મેં તમારાં વચન કાળજીપૂર્વક મારા હૃદયમાં રાખી મૂક્યાં છે કે જેથી તમારી વિરુદ્ધ હું ફરી પાપ ન કરું.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 ૧૨ હે યહોવાહ, તમે સ્તુતિપાત્ર છો; કૃપા કરીને મને તમારાં શાસનો શીખવો.

Blessed [art] thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

13 ૧૩ મારા હોઠોથી હું તમારા બધા નિયમો વિષે વાત કરીશ.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 ૧૪ તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોના માર્ગમાં મને પુષ્કળ સંપત્તિ કરતાં વધારે આનંદ મળ્યો છે.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all riches.

15 ૧૫ હું તમારા નિયમોનું મનન કરીશ અને તમારા માર્ગોને અનુસરીશ.

I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

16 ૧૬ તમારા વિધિઓ પાળવામાં મને આનંદ થશે; હું તમારું વચન વીસરીશ નહિ.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

17 ૧૭ ગિમેલ. તમારા સેવક ઉપર કૃપા કરો કે હું જીવું અને તમારાં વચનો પાળું.

Deal bountifully with thy servant, [that] I may live, and keep thy word.

18 ૧૮ તમારા નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાંની આશ્ચર્યકારક વાતોનું અવલોકન કરવા માટે; મારી આંખો ઉઘાડો.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

19 ૧૯ હું તો પૃથ્વી પર વિદેશી છું; તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ મારાથી ન સંતાડો.

I [am] a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 ૨૦ મારું હૃદય તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો માટે સર્વ સમયે તીવ્ર ઝંખના કરે છે.

My soul breaketh for the longing [that it hath] unto thy judgments at all times.

21 ૨૧ તમે ગર્વિષ્ઠ લોકોને તેમ જ જેઓ તમારી આજ્ઞાઓને માનતા નથી, તેઓને શ્રાપ આપો છો.

Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

22 ૨૨ મહેણાં તથા અપમાનને મારાથી દૂર કરો, કારણ કે મેં તમારા નિયમો માન્યા છે.

Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 ૨૩ સરદારો પણ આસનો પર બેસીને મારી વિરુદ્ધ બોલતા હતા, પણ તમારા સેવકે તમારા વિધિઓનું મનન કર્યું છે.

Princes also did sit [and] speak against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 ૨૪ તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોથી મને આનંદ થાય છે અને તેઓ મારા સલાહકારો છે.

Thy testimonies also [are] my delight [and] my counsellors.

25 ૨૫ દાલેથ. મારો આત્મા ધૂળ ભેગો થઈ ગયો છે; તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે મને જિવાડો.

My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 ૨૬ મેં મારા માર્ગો તમને પ્રગટ કર્યા અને તમે મને ઉત્તર આપ્યો; મને તમારા વિધિઓ શીખવો.

I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

27 ૨૭ તમારી સૂચનાઓના માર્ગો સમજવા મારી મદદ કરો, જેથી હું તમારા અદ્દભુત શિક્ષણ વિશે ચર્ચા કરી શકું.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

28 ૨૮ દુઃખને કારણે મારું હૃદય ભારે થઈ ગયું છે; તમારાં વચન પ્રમાણે મને બળવાન કરો.

My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 ૨૯ અસત્યનો માર્ગ મારાથી દૂર કરો; કૃપા કરીને મને તમારા નિયમો શીખવો.

Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

30 ૩૦ મેં વિશ્વાસુપણાનો માર્ગ પસંદ કર્યો છે; મેં હંમેશા તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો મારી નજરમાં રાખ્યાં છે.

I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid [before me].

31 ૩૧ હું તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોને વળગી રહ્યો છું; હે યહોવાહ, મારે લજ્જિત થવું ન પડે.

I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.

32 ૩૨ તમારી આજ્ઞાઓના માર્ગમાં હું દોડીશ, કેમ કે તમે મારા હૃદયને પ્રફુલ્લિત કરો છો.

I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

33 ૩૩ હે હે યહોવાહ, તમારા વિધિઓનો માર્ગ મને શીખવો અને હું અંત સુધી તે પ્રમાણે ચાલીશ.

Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it [unto] the end.

34 ૩૪ મને સમજણશક્તિ આપો એટલે હું તમારો નિયમ પાળીશ; હું મારા હૃદયથી તેનું અનુકરણ કરીશ.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.

35 ૩૫ મને તમારી આજ્ઞાઓના માર્ગમાં દોરો, કારણ કે હું તેમાં આનંદ માનું છું.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

36 ૩૬ તમારા કરાર પર ધ્યાન આપવા માટે મારા હૃદયને દોરો અને લોભ તરફથી મને વારો.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 ૩૭ વ્યર્થતામાંથી તમે મારી દ્રષ્ટિ ફેરવો; તમારા માર્ગ વિષે મને આતુર કરો.

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; [and] quicken thou me in thy way.

38 ૩૮ તમારું જે વચન ભય ઉપજાવનારું છે; તે તમારા સેવકના લાભમાં દ્રઢ કરો.

Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.

39 ૩૯ જે અપમાનનો મને ડર છે; તે મારાથી દૂર કરો; કારણ કે તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો ઉત્તમ છે.

Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.

40 ૪૦ જુઓ, તમારા નિયમોને આધીન થવા માટે હું ઝંખુ છું; મારા ન્યાયીપણામાં તમે મારા જીવનને સંભાળી રાખો.

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

41 ૪૧ વાવ. હે યહોવાહ, તમારો અવિકારી પ્રેમ, તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે, તમારો ઉદ્ધાર મને આપો.

Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 ૪૨ તેથી હું મારું અપમાન કરનારને જવાબ આપી શકું, કેમ કે હું તમારાં વચનનો ભરોસો કરું છું.

So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

43 ૪૩ મારા મુખમાંથી સત્ય વચનો કદી ન લઈ લો, કેમ કે હું તમારાં ન્યાયવચનોની આશા રાખી રહ્યો છું.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

44 ૪૪ હું સદા સર્વદા તમારા નિયમોનું અવલોકન કરીશ.

So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

45 ૪૫ તમારા શિક્ષણને આધીન થવામાં મેં ચિત્ત લગાડ્યું છે; તેથી હું નિરાંતે જીવીશ.

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

46 ૪૬ હું રાજાઓ સાથે તમારા કરાર વિષે વાત કરીશ અને તેમાં શરમાઈશ નહિ.

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

47 ૪૭ તમારી આજ્ઞાઓમાં હું આનંદ પામીશ, તેઓ પર મેં પ્રેમ કર્યો છે.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

48 ૪૮ હું તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ પાળવા મારા હાથ ઊંચા કરીશ, તેમના પર મેં પ્રેમ કર્યો છે; હું તમારા વિધિઓનું મનન કરીશ.

My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

49 ૪૯ ઝ. તમારા જે વચનથી મને આશા ઊપજી છે, તે વચન તમારા સેવકને માટે સંભારો.

Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

50 ૫૦ મારા દુઃખમાં મને દિલાસો મળ્યો છે: તમારા વચને મને જિવાડ્યો છે.

This [is] my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

51 ૫૧ અભિમાની લોકો મારી મજાક કરે છે, પણ હું તમારા નિયમમાંથી પાછો વળ્યો નથી.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] have I not declined from thy law.

52 ૫૨ હે યહોવાહ, પુરાતન કાળથી તમારાં જે ન્યાયવચનો છે તેમને મેં સંભાર્યાં છે અને મને દિલાસો મળ્યો છે.

I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

53 ૫૩ જે દુષ્ટો તમારા નિયમોની અવગણના કરે છે; તેઓ પર મને ક્રોધ ઊપજે છે.

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

54 ૫૪ તમારા વિધિઓ મારાં ગીતો છે તેઓ મારી જીવનયાત્રામાં મારા માટે આનંદદાયક સ્તોત્ર બન્યા છે.

Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

55 ૫૫ હે યહોવાહ, મને રાત્રે તમારા નામનું સ્મરણ થાય છે અને હું તમારા નિયમો પાળું છું.

I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.

56 ૫૬ આ મારું આચરણ છે કેમ કે મેં તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોનું અનુસરણ કર્યું છે.

This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

57 ૫૭ ખેથ. હે યહોવાહ તમે મારો વારસો છો; હું તમારાં વચનો પાળીશ એમ મેં કહ્યું છે.

[Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

58 ૫૮ મેં મારા હૃદયની ઉત્કંઠાથી તમારી કૃપાની માગણી કરી છે; તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે, તમે મારા ઉપર દયા કરો.

I intreated thy favour with [my] whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

59 ૫૯ મેં મારી ચાલ વિષે વિચાર કર્યો છે અને તમારાં સાક્ષ્યો તરફ હું વળ્યો છું.

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

60 ૬૦ તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ પાળવા માટે મેં ઉતાવળ કરી છે; વાર લગાડી નથી.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

61 ૬૧ મને દુષ્ટોનાં બંધનોએ ઘેરી લીધો છે; તમારા નિયમોને હું ભૂલી ગયો નથી.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me: [but] I have not forgotten thy law.

62 ૬૨ તમારાં ન્યાયીવચનોને લીધે હું તમારો આભાર માનવા મધ્ય રાત્રે ઊઠીશ.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

63 ૬૩ જે કોઈ તમને માન આપે છે અને જેઓ તમારી સૂચનાઓને અનુસરે છે, તેઓનો હું સાથી છું.

I [am] a companion of all [them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

64 ૬૪ હે યહોવાહ, પૃથ્વી તમારી કૃપાથી ભરેલી છે; મને તમારા વિધિઓ શીખવો.

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

65 ૬૫ ટેથ. હે યહોવાહ, વચન પ્રમાણે, તમે તમારા સેવકને માટે સારું જ કર્યું છે.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

66 ૬૬ મને સારો વિવેક તથા ડહાપણ શીખવો, કેમ કે હું તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ પર વિશ્વાસ કરું છું.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

67 ૬૭ દુઃખી થયા અગાઉ હું આડે રસ્તે ગયો હતો, પણ હવે હું તમારાં વચન પાળું છું.

Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

68 ૬૮ તમે ઉત્તમ છો અને ઉત્તમ જ કરો છો; મને તમારા વિધિઓ શીખવો.

Thou [art] good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

69 ૬૯ ઘમંડી લોકો મારા વિશે જૂઠું બોલે છે, પણ હું તમારા નિયમો મારા ખરા હૃદયથી પાળીશ.

The proud have forged a lie against me: [but] I will keep thy precepts with [my] whole heart.

70 ૭૦ તેઓના હૃદયો જડ છે, પણ હું તો તમારા નિયમમાં આનંદ પામું છું.

Their heart is as fat as grease; [but] I delight in thy law.

71 ૭૧ મેં જે સહન કર્યું છે તે મને ગુણકારક થઈ પડ્યું છે કે જેથી હું તમારા વિધિઓ શીખી શકું.

[It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

72 ૭૨ સોનાચાંદીના હજારો સિક્કા કરતાં તમારા મુખનો નિયમ મારે માટે વધુ મૂલ્યવાન છે.

The law of thy mouth [is] better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

73 ૭૩ યોદ. તમે તમારા હાથોથી જ મને ઘડ્યો છે તથા બનાવ્યો છે; તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ શીખવા માટે મને સમજણ આપો.

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

74 ૭૪ તમારો ભય રાખનારા મને જોઈને આનંદ પામશે કારણ કે મેં તમારાં વચનોની આશા રાખી છે.

They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

75 ૭૫ હે યહોવાહ, હું જાણું છું કે, તમારાં વચનો ન્યાયી છે અને વિશ્વાસુપણાએ તમે મને શિસ્તબદ્ધ કર્યો છે.

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments [are] right, and [that] thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

76 ૭૬ તમારા સેવકને આપેલા તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે તમારી કૃપાથી મને દિલાસો મળો.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

77 ૭૭ હું જીવતો રહું, માટે તમારી દયા મને બતાવો, કેમ કે તમારો નિયમ એ જ મારો આનંદ છે.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.

78 ૭૮ અભિમાનીઓ લજ્જા પામો, કેમ કે તેઓ મારા વિષે જૂઠું બોલ્યા છે; પણ હું તો તમારાં વચનોનું મનન કરું છું.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.

79 ૭૯ જેઓ તમને માન આપે છે અને જેઓને તમારાં સાક્ષ્યો વિષે ડહાપણ છે, તેઓ મારી પાસે આવો.

Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

80 ૮૦ તમારા નિયમોની આધીનતામાં મારું હૃદય નિર્દોષ રહો કે જેથી મારે બદનામ ન થવું પડે.

Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

81 ૮૧ કાફ. મારો જીવ તમારા તરફથી મળતા ઉદ્ધારને માટે મૂંઝાય છે; હું તમારાં વચનની આશા રાખું છું.

My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.

82 ૮૨ તમે મને ક્યારે દિલાસો આપશો? એમ કહેતાં મારી આંખો તમારાં વચનને માટે નિસ્તેજ થઈ જાય છે.

Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

83 ૮૩ કેમ કે હું ધુમાડામાં રહેલી મશકના જેવો થઈ ગયો છું; હું તમારા વિધિઓને વીસરતો નથી.

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.

84 ૮૪ તમારા સેવકના દિવસ કેટલા છે? મને સતાવનારાઓનો ન્યાય તમે ક્યારે કરશો?

How many [are] the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 ૮૫ જે ગર્વિષ્ઠો તમારા નિયમો પ્રમાણે નથી વર્તતા, તેઓએ મારા માટે ખાડા ખોદ્યા છે.

The proud have digged pits for me, which [are] not after thy law.

86 ૮૬ તેઓ વિનાકારણ મને ત્રાસ આપે છે, તમે મને મદદ કરો; તમારી સર્વ આજ્ઞાઓ ભરોસાપાત્ર છે.

All thy commandments [are] faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

87 ૮૭ પૃથ્વી પરથી તેઓએ લગભગ મારો નાશ કર્યો હતો, પણ મેં તમારાં શાસનોનો ત્યાગ કર્યો નથી.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

88 ૮૮ તમારી કૃપા પ્રમાણે તમે મને જિવાડો; એટલે હું તમારા મુખની શિખામણ પાળીશ.

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 ૮૯ લામેદ. હે યહોવાહ, તમારું વચન આકાશમાં સદાકાળ સ્થિર છે.

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 ૯૦ તમારું વિશ્વાસપણું પેઢી દરપેઢી કાયમ રહે છે; તમે જ પૃથ્વી સ્થાપી છે અને તે નીભી રહે છે.

Thy faithfulness [is] unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 ૯૧ તમારાં ન્યાયી વચનને કારણે દરેક વસ્તુ આજ સુધી નીભી રહી છે; કેમ કે તે સર્વ તમારા સેવકો છે.

They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all [are] thy servants.

92 ૯૨ જો તમારા નિયમમાં મેં આનંદ માન્યો ન હોત, તો હું મારા દુઃખમાં જ નાશ પામ્યો હોત.

Unless thy law [had been] my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93 ૯૩ હું કદી તમારાં શાસનોને ભૂલીશ નહિ, કારણ કે તમે મને તેઓથી જ જિવાડ્યો છે.

I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

94 ૯૪ હું તમારો છું; મારું રક્ષણ કરો, કારણ કે મેં તમારાં શાસનોને શોધ્યાં છે.

I [am] thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

95 ૯૫ દુષ્ટો મારો નાશ કરવાની તૈયારીમાં છે, પણ હું શાંત રહીને તમારાં વચનોમાં ધ્યાન રાખીશ.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: [but] I will consider thy testimonies.

96 ૯૬ મેં જોયું છે કે પ્રત્યેક વસ્તુઓને તેની પોતાની સીમાઓ હોય છે, પણ તમારી આજ્ઞાની તો સીમા જ નથી.

I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.

97 ૯૭ મેમ. તમારા નિયમો પર હું કેટલો બધો પ્રેમ રાખું છું! હું આખો દિવસ તેમના વિષે મનન કરું છું.

O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.

98 ૯૮ મારા શત્રુઓના કરતાં તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ મને વધુ બુદ્ધિમાન કરે છે; કારણ કે તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ મારી પાસે સર્વદા છે.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they [are] ever with me.

99 ૯૯ મારામાં મારા શિક્ષકો કરતાં વધારે શાણપણ છે કારણ કે હું તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોનું મનન કરું છું.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my (meditation)

100 ૧૦૦ વૃદ્ધોના કરતાં હું વિશેષ જાણું છું; આ એ માટે કે મેં તમારા નિયમો પાળ્યા છે.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101 ૧૦૧ હું તમારું વચન પાળી શકું તે માટે મેં મારા પગ સર્વ ભૂંડા માર્ગોથી પાછા વાળ્યા છે.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 ૧૦૨ તમારાં ન્યાયી વચનોને મેં તજી દીધા નથી, કારણ કે તમે મને તે શીખવ્યાં છે.

I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103 ૧૦૩ મારી રુચિને તમારાં વચનો કેવા મીઠાં લાગે છે, હા, તેઓ મારા મુખને માટે મધ કરતાં વધુ મીઠાં છે!

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

104 ૧૦૪ તમારાં શાસનોથી મને સમજણ મળે છે; માટે હું દરેક જૂઠા માર્ગને ધિક્કારું છું.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105 ૧૦૫ નુન. મારા પગોને માટે તમારાં વચન દીવારૂપ છે અને મારા માર્ગોને માટે અજવાળારૂપ છે.

Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

106 ૧૦૬ હું તમારાં યથાર્થ ન્યાયશાસનો પાળીશ, એવી પ્રતિજ્ઞા મેં કરી હતી અને તે પાળી પણ છે.

I have sworn, and I will perform [it], that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

107 ૧૦૭ હું દુઃખમાં બહુ દબાઈ ગયો છું; હે યહોવાહ, તમારાં વચનો પ્રમાણે મને જિવાડો.

I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

108 ૧૦૮ હે યહોવાહ, મારા મુખનાં રાજીખુશીથી આપેલાં ઐચ્છિકાર્પણનો તમે સ્વીકાર કરો; અને તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો મને શીખવો.

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.

109 ૧૦૯ મારો પ્રાણ સદા મુશ્કેલીમાં છે, પણ હું તમારા નિયમને વીસરતો નથી.

My soul [is] continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

110 ૧૧૦ દુષ્ટોએ મારે માટે પાશ નાખ્યો છે, પણ હું તમારાં શાસનોથી નાસી ગયો નથી.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

111 ૧૧૧ મેં તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોને સદાકાળનો વારસો માન્યાં છે, કેમ કે તેઓ મારા હૃદયનો આનંદ છે.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they [are] the rejoicing of my heart.

112 ૧૧૨ તમારા વિધિઓ અંત સુધી સદા પાળવાને મેં મારા હૃદયને વાળ્યું છે.

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, [even unto] the end.

113 ૧૧૩ સામેખ. હું બે મન વાળાઓને ધિક્કારું છું, પણ હું તમારા નિયમ પર પ્રેમ રાખું છું.

I hate [vain] thoughts: but thy law do I love.

114 ૧૧૪ તમે જ મારી સંતાવાની જગ્યા તથા ઢાલ છો; હું તમારાં વચનની આશા રાખું છે.

Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

115 ૧૧૫ દુષ્ટ મનવાળા માણસો મારાથી દૂર રહો, કે જેથી હું મારા ઈશ્વરની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળું.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

116 ૧૧૬ તમારા વચન મુજબ મને આધાર આપો કે જેથી હું જીવી શકું અને મારી આશાઓને નિરર્થક કરશો નહિ.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

117 ૧૧૭ તમે મારા સહાયકારી થાઓ અને હું સલામત રહીશ; હું સદા તમારા નીતિ નિયમોનું મનન કરીશ.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

118 ૧૧૮ જેઓ તમારા નિયમોનો ભંગ કરે છે તેનો તમે ધિક્કાર કરો છો, કારણ કે તેઓનો ઢોંગ વ્યર્થ છે.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit [is] falsehood.

119 ૧૧૯ તમે પૃથ્વીના સર્વ દુષ્ટોને કચરાની જેમ ફેંકી દો છો; માટે હું તમારા નિયમોને પ્રેમ કરું છું.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

120 ૧૨૦ હું તમારા ભયથી કાંપુ છું અને હું તમારા ન્યાયવચનોથી ગભરાઉં છું.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

121 ૧૨૧ હાયિન. મેં જે ન્યાયી અને સાચું છે તે કર્યું છે; મને મારા પર જુલમ કરનારનાં હાથમાં ન સોંપો.

I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

122 ૧૨૨ તમારા સેવક માટે તેના જામીન થાઓ; ગર્વિષ્ઠ લોકોને મારા પર જુલમ કરવા ન દો.

Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

123 ૧૨૩ તમારા ઉદ્ધારની અને ન્યાયી વચનની રાહ જોતાં જોતાં મારી આંખો નિસ્તેજ થઈ ગઈ છે.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

124 ૧૨૪ તમારી કૃપા પ્રમાણે તમારા સેવકની સાથે વર્તજો અને તમારા વિધિઓ મને શીખવજો.

Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

125 ૧૨૫ હું તો તમારો સેવક છું, મને બુદ્ધિ આપો, કે જેથી હું તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોને જાણી શકું.

I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

126 ૧૨૬ હવે યહોવાહને કામ કરવાનો સમય આવ્યો છે, કેમ કે લોકોએ તમારો નિયમ તોડ્યો છે.

[It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.

127 ૧૨૭ હું સોના કરતાં, શુદ્ધ સોના કરતાં પણ તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ પર વધારે પ્રેમ રાખું છું.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

128 ૧૨૮ તમારાં શાસનો પ્રમાણે હું મારી સર્વ વર્તણૂક યથાર્થ રાખું છું અને હું દરેક જૂઠા માર્ગને ધિક્કારું છું.

Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts [concerning] all [things to be] right; [and] I hate every false way.

129 ૧૨૯ પે. તમારા નિયમો અદ્દભુત છે; તેથી હું તેમને પાળું છું.

Thy testimonies [are] wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

130 ૧૩૦ તમારાં વચનો ખુલ્લો પ્રકાશ આપે છે; તે ભોળા માણસ પણ સમજી શકે છે.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

131 ૧૩૧ હું મારું મુખ ઉઘાડીને તલપી રહ્યો છું, કેમ કે હું તમારી આજ્ઞાઓની અભિલાષા રાખતો હતો.

I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

132 ૧૩૨ જેમ તમે તમારા નામ પર પ્રેમ રાખનારાઓની સાથે વર્તો છો, તેમ તમે મારા તરફ ફરીને મારા પર દયા કરો.

Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133 ૧૩૩ તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે મને ચલાવો; કોઈ પણ પાપને મારા પર શાસન કરવા ન દો.

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 ૧૩૪ જુલમી માણસોથી મને બચાવો, કે જેથી હું તમારાં શાસનોનું પાલન કરી શકું.

Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

135 ૧૩૫ તમારા સેવક પર તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ પાડો અને તમારા બધા નિયમો મને શીખવો.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

136 ૧૩૬ તેઓ તમારા નિયમો પાળતા નથી, તેથી મારી આંખોમાંથી ચોધાર આંસુ વહે છે.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

137 ૧૩૭ સાદે. હે યહોવાહ, તમે ન્યાયી છો અને તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો યથાર્થ છે.

Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, and upright [are] thy judgments.

138 ૧૩૮ ન્યાયીપણાથી તથા પૂરેપૂરા વિશ્વાસુપણાથી તમે તમારાં સાક્ષ્યો ફરમાવ્યાં છે.

Thy testimonies [that] thou hast commanded [are] righteous and very faithful.

139 ૧૩૯ મારા શત્રુઓ તમારાં વચન વીસરી ગયા છે તેથી મારા રોષે મને ક્ષીણ કર્યો છે.

My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 ૧૪૦ તમારું વચન તદ્દન નિર્મળ છે અને તમારો સેવક તેના પર પ્રેમ રાખે છે.

Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 ૧૪૧ હું નાનો તથા ધિક્કારાયેલો છું, તોપણ હું તમારાં શાસનોને ભૂલી જતો નથી.

I [am] small and despised: [yet] do not I forget thy precepts.

142 ૧૪૨ તમારું ન્યાયીપણું તો અનંતકાળ ટકશે; અને તમારો નિયમ સત્ય છે.

Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.

143 ૧૪૩ મને ઉપાધિઓએ તથા આપત્તિઓએ જકડી લીધો છે, તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ મારો આનંદ છે.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments [are] my delights.

144 ૧૪૪ તમારાં સાક્ષ્યો સદાકાળ ન્યાયયુક્ત છે; માટે મને સમજણ આપો, જેથી હું જીવતો રહીશ.

The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

145 ૧૪૫ કોફ. મેં ખરા હૃદયથી વિનંતિ કરી છે, “હે યહોવાહ, મને ઉત્તર આપો, હું તમારા નિયમોનું પાલન કરીશ.

I cried with [my] whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.

146 ૧૪૬ મેં તમને પ્રાર્થના કરી છે; મારો બચાવ કરો, એટલે હું તમારા નિયમોનું પાલન કરીશ.”

I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

147 ૧૪૭ પ્રભાત થતાં પહેલા મેં સહાયને માટે પ્રાર્થના કરી. મને તમારાં વચનોની આશા છે.

I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

148 ૧૪૮ તમારા વચનનું મનન કરવા માટે મારી આંખો રાતના છેલ્લાં પહોર અગાઉ ઊઘડી ગઈ હતી.

Mine eyes prevent the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

149 ૧૪૯ તમારી કૃપા પ્રમાણે મારી વાણી સાંભળો; હે યહોવાહ, તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો પ્રમાણે મને જિવાડો.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.

150 ૧૫૦ જેઓ દુષ્ટ ભાવથી મારી પાછળ લાગેલા છે તેઓ મારી નજીક આવે છે, પણ તેઓ તમારા નિયમથી દૂર છે.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

151 ૧૫૧ હે યહોવાહ, તમે મારી નજદીક છો અને તમારી સર્વ આજ્ઞાઓ સત્ય છે.

Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are] truth.

152 ૧૫૨ લાંબા સમય પૂર્વે તમારા સાક્ષ્યોથી મેં જાણ્યું કે, તમે તેઓને સદાને માટે સ્થાપ્યા છે.

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

153 ૧૫૩ રેશ. મારી વિપત્તિ સામું જુઓ અને મને સહાય કરો, કેમ કે હું તમારો નિયમ ભૂલતો નથી.

Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

154 ૧૫૪ મારી લડતને લડો અને મને બચાવો; મને તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે જીવવા દો.

Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

155 ૧૫૫ દુષ્ટોથી ઉદ્ધાર દૂર રહે છે, કારણ કે તે તમારા નિયમોને પ્રેમ કરતા નથી.

Salvation [is] far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

156 ૧૫૬ હે યહોવાહ, તમારી કરુણા મહાન છે; તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો પ્રમાણે મને જિવાડો.

Great [are] thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

157 ૧૫૭ મને સતાવનારા અને મારા શત્રુઓ ઘણા છે, પણ હું તમારા નિયમોથી પાછો હઠી ગયો નથી.

Many [are] my persecutors and mine enemies; [yet] do I not decline from thy testimonies.

158 ૧૫૮ મેં વિશ્વાસઘાતીઓને જોયા અને મેં તેમનો અસ્વીકાર કર્યો કારણ કે તેઓ તમારા વચનનું પાલન કરતાં નથી.

I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

159 ૧૫૯ હું તમારાં શાસનો પર કેટલો બધો પ્રેમ રાખું છું; હે યહોવાહ, તે ધ્યાનમાં લેજો, તમારી કૃપા અનુસાર તમે મને જિવાડો.

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.

160 ૧૬૦ તમારાં બધાં વચનો સત્ય છે; તમારાં સર્વ ન્યાયી વચનો અનંતકાળ સુધી ટકનારાં છે.

Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.

161 ૧૬૧ શીન. સરદારોએ મને વિનાકારણ સતાવ્યો છે; મારું હૃદય તમારાં વચનોનો ભય રાખે છે.

Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

162 ૧૬૨ જેમ કોઈ એકને મોટો ખજાનો મળે તેમ તમારા વચનથી મને આનંદ થાય છે.

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

163 ૧૬૩ હું અસત્યને ધિક્કારું છું અને તેનાથી કંટાળું છું, પણ હું તમારા નિયમને ચાહું છું.

I hate and abhor lying: [but] thy law do I love.

164 ૧૬૪ તમારાં યથાર્થ અને ન્યાયી વચનોને કારણે, હું દિવસમાં સાતવાર તમારી સ્તુતિ કરું છું.

Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

165 ૧૬૫ તમારા નિયમ પર પ્રેમ રાખનારાઓને અત્યંત શાંતિ મળે છે; તેઓને કોઈ પણ ઠોકર ખવડાવી શકે તેમ નથી.

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

166 ૧૬૬ હે યહોવાહ, તમારા ઉદ્ધારની મેં આશા રાખી છે અને મેં તમારી આજ્ઞાઓ પાળી છે.

LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

167 ૧૬૭ હું તમારાં સાક્ષ્યોને અનુસર્યો અને હું તેમના પર ઘણો પ્રેમ રાખું છું.

My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

168 ૧૬૮ હું તમારાં બધાં શાસનો અને સાક્ષ્યોને અનુસર્યો છું, કેમ કે હું જે કરું તે બધું તમે જાણો છો.

I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways [are] before thee.

169 ૧૬૯ તાવ. હે યહોવાહ, મને સહાય કરવાને મારી પ્રાર્થનાઓ સાંભળો; તમે વચન આપ્યું છે તે પ્રમાણે મને સમજણ આપો.

Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

170 ૧૭૦ મારી પ્રાર્થનાને તમારી સમક્ષ આવવા દો; તમારા વચન પ્રમાણે મને સહાય કરો.

Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

171 ૧૭૧ મારા હોઠો તમારી સ્તુતિ ઉચ્ચારશે, કારણ કે તમે મને તમારા વિધિઓ શીખવો છો.

My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

172 ૧૭૨ મારી જીભ તમારા વચન વિષે ગાયન કરો, કારણ કે તમારી સર્વ આજ્ઞાઓ ન્યાયી છે.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.

173 ૧૭૩ મને મદદ કરવા તમારો હાથ તૈયાર થાઓ, કારણ કે મેં તમારાં શાસનોને અનુસરવાનું પસંદ કર્યું છે.

Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

174 ૧૭૪ હે યહોવાહ, હું તમારા તરફથી મળતા ઉદ્ધારને માટે અભિલાષી છું અને તમારો નિયમ એ જ મારો આનંદ છે.

I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law [is] my delight.

175 ૧૭૫ મારા આત્માને જિવાડો જેથી હું તમારી સ્તુતિ કરી શકું; તમારાં ન્યાયવચનો મને મદદરૂપ થાઓ.

Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

176 ૧૭૬ હું ભૂલા પડેલા ઘેટાંની જેમ ભટકી ગયો છું; તમારા સેવકને શોધી કાઢો, કારણ કે હું તમારી આજ્ઞાઓને ભૂલ્યો નથી.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
