ગણના 26

1 ૧ મરકી બંધ થયા પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાને તથા હારુન યાજકના પુત્ર એલાઝારને કહ્યું,

It happened after the plague, that the LORD spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the cohen, saying,

2 ૨ “ઇઝરાયલી લોકોની આખી જમાતમાં જેઓ વીસ વર્ષના કે તેથી વધારે ઉંમરના હોય, એટલે કે જેઓ ઇઝરાયલ માટે યુદ્ધમાં જવાને સમર્થ હોય તેઓની તથા તેઓના પિતૃઓના કુટુંબોની ગણતરી કર.”

"Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers' houses, all who are able to go forth to war in Israel."

3 ૩ યર્દન નદીને કિનારે યરીખોના, મોઆબના મેદાનમાં મૂસા તથા એલાઝાર યાજકે તેઓની સાથે વાત કરી કે,

Moses and Eleazar the cohen spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

4 ૪ વીસ વર્ષ તથા તેથી વધારે ઉંમરના લોકોની ગણતરી કરો, જેમ યહોવાહે મૂસાને તથા ઇઝરાયલ લોકોને મિસરમાંથી બહાર આવ્યા હતા ત્યારે તેઓને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તેમ.”

"Take a census, from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel." These are those that came out of the land of Egypt.

5 ૫ ઇઝરાયલનો જયેષ્ઠ દીકરો રુબેન હતો. તેના દીકરા હનોખથી હનોખીઓનું કુટુંબ. પાલ્લૂથી પાલ્લૂનું કુટુંબ.

Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the descendants of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

6 ૬ હેસ્રોનથી હેસ્રોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. કાર્મીથી કાર્મીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 ૭ રુબેનના વંશજોનાં આટલાં કુળો હતાં, તેઓની સંખ્યા તેંતાલીસહજાર સાતસોત્રીસની હતી.

These are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were numbered of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.

8 ૮ પાલ્લૂનો દીકરો અલિયાબ હતો.

The sons of Pallu: Eliab.

9 ૯ અલિયાબના દીકરા: નમુએલ, દાથાન તથા અબિરામ હતા. દાથાન તથા અબિરામ જેઓ કોરાહને અનુસરતા હતા જ્યારે તેઓએ મૂસા તથા હારુનની સામે બંડ પોકારીને યહોવાહ સામે બળવો કર્યો તે એ જ હતા.

The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, who were called of the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD,

10 ૧૦ જયારે તેઓ મૃત્યુ પામ્યા ત્યારે પૃથ્વી પોતાનું મુખ ખોલીને તેઓને કોરાહ સહિત ગળી ગઈ. તે જ સમયે અગ્નિએ બસો પચાસ માણસોનો નાશ કરી નાખ્યો જેઓ ચિહ્નરૂપ થઈ પડ્યા.

and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; what time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men, and they became a sign.

11 ૧૧ તેમ છતાં કોરાહના વંશજો મૃત્યુ પામ્યા નહિ.

Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah did not die.

12 ૧૨ શિમયોનના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો નીચે પ્રમાણે છે: નમુએલથી નમુએલીઓનું કુટુંબ. યામીનથી યામીનીઓનું કુટુંબ. યાખીનથી યાખીનીઓનું કુટુંબ,

The descendants of Simeon after their families: of Jemuel, the family of the Jemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jakin, the family of the Jakinites;

13 ૧૩ ઝેરાહથી ઝેરાહીઓનું કુટુંબ. શાઉલથી શાઉલીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Zohar, the family of the Zoharites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

14 ૧૪ આ શિમયોનના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતાં, જેઓ સંખ્યામાં બાવીસહજાર બસો માણસો હતા.

These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand two hundred.

15 ૧૫ ગાદના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં એટલે. સફોનથી સફોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. હાગ્ગીથી હાગ્ગીઓનું કુટુંબ. શૂનીથી શૂનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

16 ૧૬ ઓઝનીથી ઓઝનીઓનું કુટુંબ. એરીથી એરીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Ezbon, the family of the Ezbonites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;

17 ૧૭ અરોદથી અરોદીઓનું કુટુંબ. આરએલીથી આરએલીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Arodi, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites.

18 ૧૮ આ ગાદના વંશજોના કુટુંબો હતા જેઓની સંખ્યા ચાલીસહજાર પાંચસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those who were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.

19 ૧૯ એર તથા ઓનાન યહૂદાના દીકરા હતા, પણ આ માણસો કનાન દેશમાં મૃત્યુ પામ્યા હતા.

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

20 ૨૦ યહૂદાના બીજા વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં એટલે: શેલાથી શેલાનીઓનું કુટુંબ. પેરેસથી પેરેસીઓનું કુટુંબ. ઝેરાહથી ઝેરાહીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.

21 ૨૧ પેરેસના વંશજો આ હતા એટલે: હેસ્રોનથી હેસ્રોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. હામૂલથી હામૂલીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamuel, the family of the Hamuelites.

22 ૨૨ આ યહૂદાના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતા, જેઓની સંખ્યા છોતેરહજાર પાંચસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of Judah according to those who were numbered of them, seventy-six thousand five hundred.

23 ૨૩ ઇસ્સાખારના વંશજોના કુટુંબો આ હતાં એટલે: તોલાથી તોલાઈઓનું કુટુંબ. પુવાહથી પૂનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puah, the family of the Puites;

24 ૨૪ યાશૂબથી યાશૂબીઓનું કુટુંબ. શિમ્રોનથી શિમ્રોનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.

25 ૨૫ આ ઇસ્સાખારના વંશજોના કુટુંબો હતા, જેઓની સંખ્યા ચોસઠહજાર ત્રણસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of Issachar according to those who were numbered of them, sixty-four thousand three hundred.

26 ૨૬ ઝબુલોનના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં એટલે: સેરેદથી સેરેદીઓનું કુટુંબ. એલોનથી એલોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. યાહલેલથી યાહલેલીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

27 ૨૭ આ ઝબુલોનીઓના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતાં. જેઓની સંખ્યા સાઠહજાર પાંચસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those who were numbered of them, sixty thousand five hundred.

28 ૨૮ યૂસફના વંશજો મનાશ્શા અને એફ્રાઇમ હતા.

The sons of Joseph after their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 ૨૯ મનાશ્શાના વંશજો આ હતા: માખીરથી માખીરીઓનું કુટુંબ માખીર ગિલ્યાદનો પિતા હતો, ગિલ્યાદથી ગિલ્યાદીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Manasseh: of Makir, the family of the Makirites; and Makir became the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

30 ૩૦ ગિલ્યાદનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં: ઈએઝેરથી ઈએઝેરીઓનું કુટુંબ. હેલેકથી હેલેકીઓનું કુટુંબ, અને

These are the descendants of Gilead: of Abiezer, the family of the Abiezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites;

31 ૩૧ આસ્રીએલથી આસ્રીએલીઓનું કુટુંબ. અને શખેમથી શખેમીઓનું કુટુંબ.

and Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; and Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;

32 ૩૨ શમીદાથી શમીદાઈઓનું કુટુંબ. હેફેરથી હેફેરીઓનું કુટુંબ.

and Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.

33 ૩૩ હેફેરના દીકરા સલોફહાદને દીકરા નહોતા, પણ ફક્ત દીકરીઓ જ હતી. તેની દીકરીઓનાં નામ માહલાહ, નૂહ, હોગ્લાહ, મિલ્કાહ તથા તિર્સા હતાં.

Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of the daughters of Zelophehad: Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 ૩૪ આ મનાશ્શાનાં કુટુંબો હતાં, જેઓની સંખ્યા બાવનહજાર સાતસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of Manasseh; and those who were numbered of them were fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 ૩૫ એફ્રાઇમના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં. શૂથેલાહથી શૂથેલાહીઓનું કુટુંબ. બેખેરથી બેખેરીઓનું કુટુંબ. તાહાનથી તાહાનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

These are the descendants of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of Beker, the family of the Bekerites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 ૩૬ શૂથેલાહના વંશજો, એરાનથી એરાનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

These are the descendants of Shuthelah: of Eden, the family of the Edenites.

37 ૩૭ આ એફ્રાઇમના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતાં. જેઓની સંખ્યા બત્રીસહજાર પાંચસો માણસોની હતી. યૂસફના વંશજો તેઓના કુટુંબોની ગણતરી પ્રમાણે આ છે.

These are the families of the descendants of Ephraim according to those who were numbered of them, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the descendants of Joseph after their families.

38 ૩૮ બિન્યામીનના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં: બેલાથી બેલાઈઓનું કુટુંબ. આશ્બેલથી આશ્બેલીઓનું કુટુંબ. અહીરામથી અહીરામીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

39 ૩૯ શૂફામથી શૂફામીઓનું કુટુંબ. હૂફામથી હૂફામીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Shuppim, the family of the Shuppimites; of Huppim, the family of the Huppimites.

40 ૪૦ બેલાના દીકરાઓ આર્દ તથા નામાન હતા. આર્દથી આર્દીઓનું કુટુંબ, નામાનથી નામાનીઓનું કુટુંબ.

The sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamanites.

41 ૪૧ આ બિન્યામીનના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતાં. જેઓની સંખ્યા પિસ્તાળીસહજાર છસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the descendants of Benjamin after their families; and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.

42 ૪૨ દાનના કુટુંબોના વંશજો, શૂહામથી શૂહામીઓનું કુટુંબ. આ દાનના વંશજોનું કુટુંબ હતું.

These are the descendants of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.

43 ૪૩ શૂહામીઓના બધાં કુટુંબોની સંખ્યા ચોસઠહજાર ચારસો માણસોની હતી.

All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those who were numbered of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

44 ૪૪ આશેરના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં. યિમ્નાથી યિમ્નીઓનું કુટુંબ. યિશ્વીથી યિશ્વીઓનું કુટુંબ, બરિયાથી બરિયાઓનું કુટુંબ.

The descendants of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Jimnaites; of Jishvi, the family of the Jishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites.

45 ૪૫ બરિયાના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં. હેબેરથી હેબેરીઓનું કુટુંબ. માલ્કીએલથી માલ્કીએલીઓનું કુટુંબ.

Of the descendants of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malkiel, the family of the Malkielites.

46 ૪૬ આશેરની દીકરીનું નામ સેરાહ હતું.

The name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.

47 ૪૭ આ આશેરના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો હતાં, જેઓની સંખ્યા તેપનહજાર ચારસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of the descendants of Asher according to those who were numbered of them, fifty-three thousand and four hundred.

48 ૪૮ નફતાલીના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં: યાહસએલથી યાહસએલીઓનું કુટુંબ, ગૂનીથી ગૂનીઓનું કુટુંબ,

The descendants of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;

49 ૪૯ યેસેરથી યેસેરીઓનું કુટુંબ, શિલ્લેમથી શિલ્લેમીઓનું કુટુંબ.

of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

50 ૫૦ નફતાલીના વંશજોનાં કુટુંબો આ હતાં. જેઓની સંખ્યા પિસ્તાળીસહજાર ચારસો માણસોની હતી.

These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand four hundred.

51 ૫૧ ઇઝરાયલ લોકો મધ્યેના માણસોની કુલ ગણતરી છ લાખ એક હજાર સાતસો ત્રીસની હતી.

These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.

52 ૫૨ પછી યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

53 ૫૩ “તેઓનાં નામોની સંખ્યા પ્રમાણે માણસોને આ દેશનો વારસો વહેંચી આપવો.

"To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 ૫૪ મોટા કુટુંબને વધારે વારસો આપવો, નાના કુટુંબને થોડો વારસો આપવો. દરેક કુટુંબના માણસોની ગણતરી પ્રમાણે તેમને વારસો આપવો.

To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: to everyone according to those who were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given.

55 ૫૫ ચિઠ્ઠી નાખીને દેશની વહેંચણી કરવી. દરેકને તેમના પિતૃઓનાં કુળો પ્રમાણે વારસો મળે.

Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 ૫૬ વધારે તથા થોડા કુટુંબોની વચ્ચે ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખીને વારસાની વહેંચણી કરવી.”

According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer."

57 ૫૭ લેવીઓનાં કુટુંબો: તેઓનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે ગણતરી થઈ તે આ હતી: ગેર્શોનથી ગેર્શોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. કહાથથી કહાથીઓનું કુટુંબ. મરારીથી મરારીઓનું કુટુંબ,

These are those who were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 ૫૮ લેવીઓનાં કુટુંબો નીચે મુજબ છે: લિબ્નીઓનું કુટુંબ. હેબ્રોનીઓનું કુટુંબ. માહલીઓનું કુટુંબ. મુશીઓનું કુટુંબ. તથા કોરાહીઓનું કુટુંબ. કહાથ આમ્રામનો પૂર્વજ હતો.

These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.

59 ૫૯ આમ્રામની પત્નીનું નામ યોખેબેદ હતું, તે લેવીની દીકરી હતી, જે મિસરમાં લેવીને ઘરે જન્મી હતી. તેનાથી હારુન, મૂસા તથા તેમની બહેન મરિયમ જન્મ્યા હતા.

The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt: and she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

60 ૬૦ હારુનની પત્નીએ નાદાબ તથા અબીહૂ, એલાઝાર તથા ઈથામારને જન્મ આપ્યો. આમ્રામ તેનો પતિ હતો.

To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 ૬૧ નાદાબ તથા અબીહૂ યહોવાહ સમક્ષ અમાન્ય અગ્નિ ચઢાવતા મૃત્યુ પામ્યા.

Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the LORD.

62 ૬૨ તેઓ મધ્યેના જેઓની ગણતરી થઈ તેઓ એટલે એક મહિનો તથા તેનાથી વધારે ઉંમરના પુરુષોની સંખ્યા તેવીસ હજારની હતી. પણ તેઓની ગણતરી ઇઝરાયલ લોકો વચ્ચે થઈ ન હતી, કેમ કે તેઓને ઇઝરાયલ લોકો મધ્યે વારસો મળ્યો ન હતો.

Those who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 ૬૩ મૂસા તથા એલાઝાર યાજકથી જેઓની ગણતરી થઈ તેઓ આ હતા. તેઓએ યર્દનને કિનારે યરીખો સામે મોઆબના મેદાનમાં ઇઝરાયલ લોકોની ગણતરી કરી.

These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the cohen, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

64 ૬૪ મૂસાએ તથા હારુન યાજકે સિનાઈ અરણ્યમાં ઇઝરાયલના વંશજોની ગણતરી કરી ત્યારે જેઓની ગણતરી થઈ હતી તેઓમાંનો એક પણ માણસ ત્યાં ન હતો.

But among these there was not a man of them who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the cohen, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 ૬૫ કેમ કે, યહોવાહે કહ્યું હતું કે આ બધા લોકો અરણ્યમાં મૃત્યુ પામશે. ફક્ત યફૂન્નેનો દીકરો કાલેબ તથા નૂનનો દીકરો યહોશુઆ સિવાય તેઓમાંનો એક પણ માણસ બચશે નહિ.

For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. There was not left a man of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
