અયૂબ 39

1 ૧ ડુંગર પરની જંગલી બકરીઓ કેવી રીતે બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે તે શું તું જાણે છે? શું તું જાણી શકે છે કે જંગલી હરણીઓ બચ્ચાંને જન્મ કેવી રીતે આપે છે?

"Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears fawns?

2 ૨ તેઓના ગર્ભના પૂરા મહિનાની સંખ્યા તું જાણે છે? શું તું જાણે છે કે તેઓ ક્યારે પોતાનાં બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે?

Can you number the months that they fulfill? Or do you know the time when they give birth?

3 ૩ તેઓ નમીને તેઓનાં બચ્ચાંને જન્મ આપે છે, અને પછી તેઓને પ્રસૂતિ પીડાનો અનુભવ થાય છે

They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, they end their labor pains.

4 ૪ તેઓનાં બચ્ચાં મજબૂત અને ખુલ્લાં મેદાનોમાં ઊછરેલાં હોય છે; તેઓ બહાર નીકળે છે અને પાછાં ફરતાં નથી.

Their young ones become strong. They grow up in the open field. They go forth, and do not return again.

5 ૫ જંગલી ગધેડાને કોણે છૂટો મૂક્યો છે? તેનાં બંધ કોણે છોડી નાખ્યા છે?

"Who has set the wild donkey free? Or who has loosened the bonds of the swift donkey,

6 ૬ તેનું ઘર મેં અરાબાહમાં, તથા તેનું રહેઠાણ મેં ખારી જમીનમાં ઠરાવ્યું છે.

Whose home I have made the wilderness, and the salt land his dwelling place?

7 ૭ તે નગરની ધાંધલને તુચ્છ ગણે છે અને હાંકનારની બૂમો તેને સાંભળવી પડતી નથી.

He scorns the tumult of the city, neither does he hear the shouting of the driver.

8 ૮ જંગલ ગર્દભો પર્વતો પર રહે છે, કે જ્યાં તેઓનું ચરવાનું ઘાસ છે; ત્યાં તેઓ પોતાનો ખોરાક શોધી કાઢે છે.

The range of the mountains is his pasture, He searches after every green thing.

9 ૯ શું તારી સેવા કરવામાં જંગલના બળદો આનંદ માણશે ખરા? તેઓ તારી ગભાણમાં રાત્રે આવીને રહેશે?

"Will the wild ox be content to serve you? Or will he stay by your feeding trough?

10 ૧૦ શું તું જંગલના બળદને અછોડાથી બાંધીને ખેતરના ચાસમાં ચલાવી શકે છે? શું તે તારા માટે હળ ખેડશે?

Can you hold the wild ox in the furrow with his harness? Or will he till the valleys after you?

11 ૧૧ જંગલના બળદ ખૂબ શક્તિશાળી છે માટે શું તું તેનો ભરોસો કરશે? તારું કામ કરાવવા માટે શું તું તેની અપેક્ષા કરી શકશે?

Will you trust him, because his strength is great? Or will you leave to him your labor?

12 ૧૨ શું તું તેના પર ભરોસો રાખશે કે તે તારું અનાજ તારા ઘરે લાવશે? અને તારા ખળાના દાણા લાવીને વખારમાં ભરશે?

Will you have faith in him, that he will bring in your grain, and gather it to your threshing floor?

13 ૧૩ શાહમૃગ પોતાની પાંખો આનંદથી હલાવે છે, પણ તેની પાંખો અને પીંછાઓ શું માયાળુ હોય છે?

"The wings of the ostrich wave proudly; but are they the feathers and plumage of love?

14 ૧૪ કેમ કે તે પોતાનાં ઈંડાં જમીન પર મૂકીને જતી રહે છે અને ધૂળ ઈંડાને સેવે છે.

For she leaves her eggs on the earth, warms them in the dust,

15 ૧૫ કોઈ પગ મૂકીને ઈંડાને છૂંદી નાંખશે અથવા જંગલી પ્રાણીઓ તેમનો નાશ કરી નાખશે તેની તેને ચિંતા હોતી નથી.

and forgets that the foot may crush them, or that the wild animal may trample them.

16 ૧૬ તે પોતાના બચ્ચાં વિષે એવી બેદરકાર રહે છે કે જાણે તે બચ્ચાં તેના પોતાનાં હોય જ નહિ; તેનો શ્રમ નિષ્ફળ જાય છે તોપણ તે ગભરાતી નથી.

She deals harshly with her young ones, as if they were not hers. Though her labor is in vain, she is without fear,

17 ૧૭ કારણ કે ઈશ્વરે તેને બુદ્ધિહીન સર્જી છે અને તેમણે તેને અક્કલ આપી નથી.

because God has deprived her of wisdom, neither has he imparted to her understanding.

18 ૧૮ તે જ્યારે કૂદે છે અને દોડવા લાગે છે, ત્યારે તે ઘોડા અને તેના સવાર પર હસે છે.

When she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his rider.

19 ૧૯ શું ઘોડાને બળ તેં આપ્યું છે? શું તેં તેની ગરદનને કેશવાળીથી આચ્છાદિત કરી છે?

"Have you given the horse might? Have you clothed his neck with a quivering mane?

20 ૨૦ શું તેં તેને તીડની જેમ કદી કુદાવ્યો છે? તેના નસકોરાના સુસવાટાની ભવ્યતા ભયજનક હોય છે.

Have you made him to leap as a locust? The glory of his snorting is awesome.

21 ૨૧ તેના પંજામાં બળ છે અને તેમાં તે હર્ષ પામે છે; અને તે યુદ્ધમાં ઝડપથી દોડી જાય છે.

He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength. He goes out to meet the armed men.

22 ૨૨ તે ડર ઉપર હસે છે અને તે ડરતો નથી; તે તલવાર જોઈને પાછો હટી જતો નથી.

He mocks at fear, and is not dismayed, neither does he turn back from the sword.

23 ૨૩ ભાથો, તીરો તથા ચમકતી બરછી તેના શરીર પર ખખડે છે.

The quiver rattles against him, the flashing spear and the javelin.

24 ૨૪ ઘોડો ઉશ્કેરાઈ જાય છે અને તે ખૂબ ઝડપથી જમીન પર દોડે છે; જ્યારે રણશિંગડાનો અવાજ તે સાંભળે છે ત્યારે તે સ્થિર રહી શકતો નથી.

He eats up the ground with fierceness and rage, neither does he stand still at the sound of the trumpet.

25 ૨૫ જ્યારે પણ તેને રણશિંગડાનો નાદ સંભળાય છે ત્યારે તે કહે છે ‘વાહ!’ તેને દૂરથી યુદ્ધની ગંધ આવી જાય છે, સેનાપતિઓના હુકમો અને ગર્જનાઓ તે સમજી જાય છે.

As often as the trumpet sounds he snorts, 'Aha.' He smells the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

26 ૨૬ શું બાજ પક્ષી તારા ડહાપણથી આકાશમાં ઊડે છે, અને પોતાની પાંખો દક્ષિણ તરફ ફેલાવે છે?

"Is it by your wisdom that the hawk soars, and stretches her wings toward the south?

27 ૨૭ શું તારી આજ્ઞાથી ગરુડ પક્ષી પર્વતો પર ઊડે છે શું તેં તેને ઊંચે માળો બાંધવાનું કહ્યું હતું?

Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up, and makes his nest on high?

28 ૨૮ ગરુડ પર્વતના શિખર પર પોતાનું ઘર બનાવે છે ખડકનાં શિખર એ ગરુડોના કિલ્લા છે.

On the cliff he dwells, and makes his home, on the point of the cliff, and the stronghold.

29 ૨૯ “ત્યાંથી તે પોતાનો શિકાર શોધી કાઢે છે; તેની આંખો તેને દૂરથી શોધી કાઢે છે.

From there he spies out the prey. His eyes see it afar off.

30 ૩૦ તેનાં બચ્ચાં પણ લોહી પીવે છે; અને જ્યાં મૃતદેહો પડ્યા હોય ત્યાં ગીધ એકઠાં થાય છે.”

His young ones also suck up blood. Where the slain are, there he is."
