એઝરા 2
1 ૧ બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર યહૂદિયાના જે લોકોને બંદીવાન કરીને બાબિલ લઈ ગયો હતો, તેઓમાંના રાજાની ગુલામીમાંથી જે મુક્ત થઈને યરુશાલેમમાં તથા યહૂદિયામાં પોતપોતાનાં નગરમાં પાછા આવ્યા તે માણસોનાં નામ આ પ્રમાણે છે:
These also are the sonnes of the prouince, that went vp out of the captiuitie (whome Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel had caried away vnto Babel) and returned to Ierusalem, and to Iudah, euery one vnto his citie,
2 ૨ ઝરુબ્બાબેલ, યેશૂઆ, નહેમ્યા, સરાયા, રએલાયા, મોર્દખાય, બિલ્શાન, મિસ્પાર, બિગ્વાય, રહૂમ, તથા બાનાહ. ઇઝરાયલી લોકોની સંખ્યા આ પ્રમાણે છે.
Which came with Zerubbabel, to wit, Ieshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Biguai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was,

The sonnes of Zattu, nine hundreth and fiue and fourtie:
The sonnes of Zaccai, seuen hundreth and threescore:
The sonnes of Bani, sixe hundreth and two and fourtie:

42 ૪૨ ભક્તિસ્થાનના દ્વારપાળો: શાલ્લુમ, આટેર, ટાલ્મોન, આક્કુબ, હટીટા અને શોબાયના વંશજો: કુલ એકસો ઓગણચાળીસ.
The sonnes of the porters: the sonnes of Shallum, the sonnes of Ater, the sonnes of Talmon, the sonnes of Akkub, the sonnes of Hatita, the sonnes of Shobai: all were an hundreth and nine and thirtie.
The Nethinims: the sonnes of Ziha, the sonnes of Hasupha, the sonnes of Tabbaoth,
The sonnes of Keros, the sonnes of Siaha, the sonnes of Padon,
The sonnes of Lebanah, the sonnes of Hagabah, the sonnes of Akkub,

The sonnes of Shephatiah, the sonnes of Hattil, the sonnes of Pochereth Hazzebaim, the sonnes of Ami.
58 ૫૮ ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં સેવા કરવા માટે નિયુક્ત કરાયેલા અને સુલેમાનના સેવકોના વંશજો: કુલ ત્રણસો બાણું હતા.
All the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants were three hundreth ninetie and two.
59 ૫૯ તેલ-મેલાહ, તેલ હાર્શા, કરુબ, અદાન તથા ઈમ્મેરમાંથી પાછા આવેલા જેઓ ઇઝરાયલીઓમાંના પોતાના પૂર્વજોની વંશાવળી સાબિત કરી શક્યા નહિ, તેઓનાં નામ આ પ્રમાણે છે:
And these went vp from Telmelah, and from Telharsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer, but they could not discerne their fathers house and their seede, whether they were of Israel.

61 ૬૧ યાજકોના વંશજોમાંના: હબાયાના વંશજો, હાક્કોસના વંશજો અને બાર્ઝિલ્લાય કે જેણે ગિલ્યાદી બાર્ઝિલ્લાયની દીકરીઓમાંથી એકની સાથે લગ્ન કર્યું હતું અને તેથી તેનું નામ બાર્ઝિલ્લાય પડ્યું હતું તેના વંશજો.
And of the sonnes of the Priestes, the sonnes of Habaiah, the sonnes of Coz, the sonnes of Barzillai: which tooke of the daughters of Barzillai the Giliadite to wife, and was called after their name.
These sought their writing of the genealogies, but they were not founde: therefore were they put from the Priesthood.
63 ૬૩ સૂબાએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ઉરીમ અને તુમ્મીમ દ્વારા મંજુર કરવામાં ન આવે ત્યાં સુધી પરમપવિત્ર અર્પણોમાંથી તેઓએ ખાવું નહિ.
And Tirshatha saide vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy thing, tell there rose vp a Priest with Vrim and Thummim.
The whole Congregation together was two and fourtie thousande, three hundreth and threescore,
65 ૬૫ તે ઉપરાંત તેઓનાં દાસો તથા દાસીઓ સાત હજાર ત્રણસો સાડત્રીસ હતા અને તેઓમાં ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં ગાયક સ્ત્રી પુરુષોની સંખ્યા બસો હતી.
Beside their seruants and their maydes: of whome were seuen thousande, three hundreth and seuen and thirtie: and among them were two hundreth singing men and singing women.
Their horses were seuen hundreth, and sixe and thirtie: their mules, two hundreth and fiue and fourtie:
Their camels foure hundreth, and fiue and thirtie: their asses, sixe thousand, seuen hundreth and twentie.
68 ૬૮ જયારે તેઓ યરુશાલેમમાં, યહોવાહના ઘરમાં ગયા, ત્યારે પિતૃઓના કુટુંબોમાંથી કેટલાક વડીલોએ, સભાસ્થાનને તેની જગ્યાએ પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરવા માટે તેઓએ રાજીખુશીથી અર્પણો આપ્યાં.
And certeine of the chiefe fathers, when they came to the house of the Lord, which was in Ierusalem, they offred willingly for the house of God, to set it vp vpon his fundation.
69 ૬૯ તેઓએ પોતાની શક્તિ પ્રમાણે બાંધકામને માટે એકસઠ હજાર દારીક સોનું, પાંચ હજાર માનેહ ચાંદી અને યાજકના સો ગણવેશ આપ્યાં.
They gaue after their abilitie vnto the treasure of the worke, euen one and threescore thousand drammes of golde, and fiue thousand pieces of siluer, and an hundreth Priests garments.
70 ૭૦ યાજકો, લેવીઓ, બીજા કેટલાક લોકો, ગાનારાઓ, દ્વારપાળો તથા ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં સેવા માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવેલા સેવકોએ, તેમના નગરોમાં વસવાટ કર્યો. સર્વ ઇઝરાયલીઓ પોતપોતાનાં નગરોમાં વસ્યા.
So the Priests and the Leuites, and a certeine of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
