1 કાળવ્રત્તાંત 24

1 ૧ હારુનના પુત્રો; નાદાબ, અબીહૂ, એલાઝાર તથા ઈથામાર.

Now these were the divisions of the sons of Aaron: The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2 ૨ નાદાબ અને અબીહૂ પોતાના પિતાની અગાઉ મરણ પામ્યા હતા. તેઓને સંતાન ન હતા, તેથી એલાઝાર તથા ઈથામાર યાજકનું કામ કરતા હતા.

But Nadab and Abiu died before their father, and had no children: so Eleazar, and Ithamar did the office of the priesthood.

3 ૩ સાદોક, એલાઝારના વંશજોમાંનો એક અને અહીમેલેખે, ઈથામારના વંશજોમાંનો એકની સાથે મળી, દાઉદે, યાજકો તરીકેના કામ માટે તેઓને વિવિધ જૂથોમાં ગોઠવ્યા.

And David distributed them, that is, Sadoc of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their courses and ministry.

4 ૪ એલાઝારના પુત્રોમાં, ઈથામારના પુત્રો કરતાં મુખ્ય પુરુષો સંખ્યામાં વધારે હતા, તેથી એલાઝારના પુત્રોના સોળ વર્ગ પાડવામાં આવ્યાં. ઈથામારના પુત્રોનાં કુટુંબોના આઠ મુખ્ય પુરુષો હતા, માટે તેઓના આઠ વર્ગ પાડવામાં આવ્યા.

And there were found many more of the sons of Eleazar among the principal men, than of the sons of Ithamar. And he divided them so, that there were of the sons of Eleazar, sixteen chief men by their families: and of the sons of Ithamar eight by their families and houses.

5 ૫ તેમણે ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાંખી બિનપક્ષપાતીપણે તેઓને નિયુક્ત કર્યા તેથી પવિત્રસ્થાનના કારભારીઓ તથા ઈશ્વરના કારભારીઓ, એલાઝાર અને ઈથામાર, બન્નેના વંશજોમાંથી હતા.

And he divided both the families one with the other by lot: for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

6 ૬ નથાનએલનો પુત્ર શમાયા ચીટનીસ, લેવીઓમાંનો એક હતો. તેણે રાજાની, સરદારોની, સાદોક યાજકની, અબ્યાથારના પુત્ર અહીમેલેખની તથા યાજકો અને લેવીઓના કુટુંબોના મુખ્ય પુરુષોની સમક્ષ તેઓની નોંધ કરી. એલાઝાર તથા ઈથામારના કુટુંબ, વારાફરતી એક પછી એક ગણવામાં આવતું હતું.

And Semeias the son of Nathanael the scribe a Levite, wrote them down before the king and the princes, and Sadoc the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the princes also of the priestly and Levitical families: one house, which was over the rest, of Eleazar: and another house, which had the rest under it, of Ithamar.

7 ૭ પહેલી ચિઠ્ઠી યહોયારીબની અને બીજી યદાયાની નીકળી.

Now the first lot came forth to Joiarib, the second to Jedei,

8 ૮ ત્રીજી હારીમની, ચોથી સેઓરીમની,

The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 ૯ પાંચમી માલ્કિયાની, છઠ્ઠી મીયામીનની,

The fifth to Melchia, the sixth to Maiman,

10 ૧૦ સાતમી હાક્કોસની, આઠમી અબિયાની,

The seventh to Accos, the eighth to Abia,

11 ૧૧ નવમી યેશૂઆની, દસમી શખાન્યાની,

The ninth to Jesua, the tenth to Sechenia,

12 ૧૨ અગિયારમી એલ્યાશિબની, બારમી યાકીમની,

The eleventh to Eliasib, the twelfth to Jacim,

13 ૧૩ તેરમી હુપ્પાની, ચૌદમી યશેબાબની,

The thirteenth to Hoppha, the fourteenth to Isbaab,

14 ૧૪ પંદરમી બિલ્ગાની, સોળમી ઈમ્મેરની,

The fifteenth to Belga, the sixteenth to Emmer,

15 ૧૫ સત્તરમી હેઝીરની, અઢારમી હાપ્પીસ્સેસની,

The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,

16 ૧૬ ઓગણીસમી પથાહ્યાની, વીસમી હઝકિયેલની,

The nineteenth to Pheteia, the twentieth to Hezechiel,

17 ૧૭ એકવીસમી યાખીનની, બાવીસમી ગામૂલની,

The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,

18 ૧૮ ત્રેવીસમી દલાયાની અને ચોવીસમી ચિઠ્ઠી માઝયાની નીકળી હતી.

The three and twentieth to Dalaiau, the four and twentieth to Maaziau.

19 ૧૯ ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર, યહોવાહે તેઓના પિતા હારુનને આપેલી આજ્ઞા મુજબ તેની મારફતે અપાયેલા હુકમ મુજબ સેવા કરવાને યહોવાહના ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં આવવાનો તેઓનો અનુક્રમ એ મુજબનો હતો.

These are their courses according to their ministries, to come into the house of the Lord, and according to their manner under the hand of Aaron their father: as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded.

20 ૨૦ લેવીના બાકીના પુત્રો નીચે મુજબ છે: આમ્રામના પુત્રોમાંનો શુબાએલ; શુબાએલના પુત્રોમાંનો યહદયા.

Now of the rest of the sons of Levi, there was of the sons of Amram, Subael: and of the sons of Subael, Jehedeia.

21 ૨૧ રહાબ્યાના પુત્રોમાંનો યિશ્શિયા જે આગેવાન હતો.

Also of the sons of Rohobia the chief Jesias.

22 ૨૨ ઈસહારીઓમાંનો શલોમોથ. શલોમોથના પુત્રોમાં યાહાથ.

And the son of Isaar Salemoth, and the son of Salemoth Jahath:

23 ૨૩ હેબ્રોનના પુત્રોમાં સૌથી મોટો યરિયા, બીજો અમાર્યા, ત્રીજો યાહઝીએલ અને ચોથો યકામામ.

And his son Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaan the fourth.

24 ૨૪ ઉઝિયેલનો પુત્ર મિખા. મિખાના પુત્રોમાંનો શામીર.

The son of Oziel, Micha: the son of Micha, Samir.

25 ૨૫ મિખાનો ભાઈ યિશ્શિયા. યિશ્શિયાનો પુત્ર ઝખાર્યા.

The brother of Micha, Jesia: and the son of Jesia, Zacharias.

26 ૨૬ મરારીના પુત્રો: માહલી તથા મુશી. યાઝિયાનો પુત્ર બનો.

The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi: the son of Oziau: Benno.

27 ૨૭ મરારીના પુત્રો: યાઝિયાનો બનો, શોહામ, ઝાક્કૂર અને ઈબ્રી.

The son also of Merari: Oziau, and Seam, and Zacchur, and Hebri.

28 ૨૮ માહલીના પુત્રો એલાઝાર, તે નિ: સંતાન હતા.

And the son of Moholi: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29 ૨૯ કીશનો પુત્ર: યરાહમેલ.

And the son of Cis, Jeramael.

30 ૩૦ મુશીના પુત્રો: માહલી, એદેર તથા યરિમોથ. તે બધા તેમના કુટુંબ પ્રમાણે લેવીઓ હતા.

The sons of Musi: Moholi, Eder, and Jerimoth. These are the sons of Levi according to the houses of their families.

31 ૩૧ તેઓએ પણ હારુનના પુત્રોની માફક દાઉદ રાજા, સાદોક, અહીમેલેખ અને યાજકો તથા લેવીઓનાં કુટુંબનાં મુખ્ય પુરુષોની હાજરીમાં ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખી. કુટુંબના મુખ્ય માણસોએ પોતાના નાના ભાઈઓની કુટુંબોની માફક જ ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખી.

And they also cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Sadoc, and Ahimelech, and the princes of the priestly and Levitical families, both the elder and the younger. The lot divided all equally.
