Ψαλμοί 46
1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, διά τους υιούς Κορέ· ωδή επί Αλαμώθ.» Ο Θεός είναι καταφυγή ημών και δύναμις, βοήθεια ετοιμοτάτη εν ταις θλίψεσι.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Διά τούτο δεν θέλομεν φοβηθή, και αν σαλευθή η γη και μετατοπισθώσι τα όρη εις το μέσον των θαλασσών·
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 και αν ηχώσι και ταράττωνται τα ύδατα αυτών· και σείωνται τα όρη διά το έπαρμα αυτών. Διάψαλμα.
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. (Selah)
4 Ποταμός, και οι ρύακες αυτού θέλουσιν ευφραίνει την πόλιν του Θεού, τον άγιον τόπον των σκηνωμάτων του Υψίστου.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 Ο Θεός είναι εν τω μέσω αυτής· δεν θέλει σαλευθή· θέλει βοηθήσει αυτήν ο Θεός από του χαράγματος της αυγής.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 Εφρύαξαν τα έθνη· εσαλεύθησαν αι βασιλείαι· έδωκε φωνήν αυτού· η γη ανελύθη.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 Ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων είναι μεθ' ημών· προπύργιον ημών είναι ο Θεός του Ιακώβ. Διάψαλμα.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
8 Έλθετε, ιδέτε τα έργα του Κυρίου· οποίας καταστροφάς έκαμεν εν τη γη.
Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.
9 Καταπαύει τους πολέμους έως των περάτων της γής· συντρίβει τόξον και κατακόπτει λόγχην· καίει αμάξας εν πυρί.
He makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; he burns the chariot in the fire.
10 Ησυχάσατε και γνωρίσατε ότι εγώ είμαι ο Θεός· θέλω υψωθή μεταξύ των εθνών· θέλω υψωθή εν τη γη.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 Ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων είναι μεθ' ημών· προπύργιον ημών είναι ο Θεός του Ιακώβ. Διάψαλμα.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
