Κατα Λουκαν 21
1 Αναβλέψας δε είδε τους πλουσίους, τους βάλλοντας τα δώρα αυτών εις το γαζοφυλάκιον·
And as he behelde, he sawe the rich men, which cast their giftes into the treasurie.
2 είδε δε και χήραν τινά πτωχήν, βάλλουσαν εκεί δύο λεπτά,
And he sawe also a certaine poore widowe which cast in thither two mites:
3 και είπεν· Αληθώς σας λέγω ότι η πτωχή αύτη χήρα έβαλε περισσότερον πάντων·
And he sayd, Of a trueth I say vnto you, that this poore widowe hath cast in more then they all.
4 διότι άπαντες ούτοι εκ του περισσεύματος αυτών έβαλον εις τα δώρα του Θεού, αύτη όμως εκ του υστερήματος αυτής έβαλεν όλην την περιουσίαν όσην είχε.
For they all haue of their superfluitie cast into the offerings of God: but she of her penurie hath cast in all the liuing that she had.
5 Και ενώ τινές έλεγον περί του ιερού ότι είναι εστολισμένον με λίθους ωραίους και αφιερώματα, είπε·
Nowe as some spake of the Temple, how it was garnished with goodly stones, and with consecrate things, he sayd,
6 Ταύτα, τα οποία θεωρείτε, θέλουσιν ελθεί ημέραι, εις τας οποίας δεν θέλει αφεθή λίθος επί λίθον, όστις δεν θέλει κατακρημνισθή.
Are these ye things that ye looke vpon? the dayes will come wherein a stone shall not be left vpon a stone, that shall not be throwen downe.
7 Ηρώτησαν δε αυτόν, λέγοντες· Διδάσκαλε, πότε λοιπόν θέλουσι γείνει ταύτα και τι το σημείον, όταν μέλλωσι ταύτα να γείνωσιν;
Then they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what signe shall there be when these things shall come to passe?
8 Ο δε είπε· Βλέπετε μη πλανηθήτε· διότι πολλοί θέλουσιν ελθεί εν τω ονόματί μου, λέγοντες ότι Εγώ είμαι και Ο καιρός επλησίασε. Μη υπάγητε λοιπόν οπίσω αυτών.
And he sayd, Take heede, that ye be not deceiued: for many will come in my Name, saying, I am Christ, and the time draweth neere: follow ye not them therefore.
9 Όταν δε ακούσητε πολέμους και ακαταστασίας, μη φοβηθήτε· διότι πρέπει ταύτα να γείνωσι πρώτον, αλλά δεν είναι ευθύς το τέλος.
And when ye heare of warres and seditions, be not afraid: for these things must first come, but the ende foloweth not by and by.
10 Τότε έλεγε προς αυτούς· θέλει εγερθή έθνος επί έθνος και βασιλεία επί βασιλείαν,
Then said hee vnto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdome against kingdome,
11 και θέλουσι γείνει κατά τόπους σεισμοί μεγάλοι και πείναι και λοιμοί, και θέλουσιν είσθαι φόβητρα και σημεία μεγάλα από του ουρανού.
And great earthquakes shall be in diuers places, and hunger, and pestilence, and fearefull things, and great signes shall there be from heauen.
12 Προ δε τούτων πάντων θέλουσιν επιβάλει εφ' υμάς τας χείρας αυτών, και θέλουσι σας καταδιώξει, παραδίδοντες εις συναγωγάς και φυλακάς, φερομένους έμπροσθεν βασιλέων και ηγεμόνων ένεκεν του ονόματός μου·
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, deliuering you vp to the assemblies, and into prisons, and bring you before Kings and rulers for my Names sake.
13 και τούτο θέλει αποβή εις εσάς προς μαρτυρίαν.
And this shall turne to you, for a testimoniall.
14 Βάλετε λοιπόν εις τας καρδίας σας να μη προμελετάτε τι να απολογηθήτε·
Lay it vp therefore in your heartes, that ye cast not before hand, what ye shall answere.
15 διότι εγώ θέλω σας δώσει στόμα και σοφίαν, εις την οποίαν δεν θέλουσι δυνηθή να αντιλογήσωσιν ουδέ να αντισταθώσι πάντες οι εναντίοι σας.
For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.
16 Θέλετε δε παραδοθή και υπό γονέων και αδελφών και συγγενών και φίλων, και θέλουσι θανατώσει τινάς εξ υμών,
Yea, ye shalbe betrayed also of your parents, and of your brethren, and kinsmen, and friendes, and some of you shall they put to death.
17 και θέλετε είσθαι μισούμενοι υπό πάντων διά το όνομά μου·
And ye shall bee hated of all men for my Names sake.
18 πλην θριξ εκ της κεφαλής σας δεν θέλει χαθή·
Yet there shall not one heare of your heads perish.
19 διά της υπομονής σας αποκτήσατε τας ψυχάς σας.
By your patience possesse your soules.
20 Όταν δε ίδητε την Ιερουσαλήμ περικυκλουμένην υπό στρατοπέδων, τότε γνωρίσατε ότι επλησίασεν η ερήμωσις αυτής.
And when ye see Hierusalem besieged with souldiers, then vnderstand that the desolation thereof is neere.
21 Τότε οι όντες εν τη Ιουδαία ας φεύγωσιν εις τα όρη, και οι εν μέσω αυτής ας αναχωρώσιν έξω, και οι εν τοις αγροίς ας μη εμβαίνωσιν εις αυτήν,
Then let them which are in Iudea, flee to the mountaines: and let them which are in the middes thereof, depart out: and let not them that are in the countrey, enter therein.
22 διότι ημέραι εκδικήσεως είναι αύται, διά να πληρωθώσι πάντα τα γεγραμμένα.
For these be the dayes of vengeance, to fulfill all things that are written.
23 Ουαί δε εις τας εγκυμονούσας και τας θηλαζούσας εν εκείναις ταις ημέραις· διότι θέλει είσθαι μεγάλη στενοχωρία επί της γης και οργή κατά του λαού τούτου,
But woe be to them that be with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes: for there shalbe great distresse in this land, and wrath ouer this people.
24 και θέλουσι πέσει εν στόματι μαχαίρας και θέλουσι φερθή αιχμάλωτοι εις πάντα τα έθνη, και η Ιερουσαλήμ θέλει είσθαι πατουμένη υπό εθνών, εωσού εκπληρωθώσιν οι καιροί των εθνών.
And they shall fall on the edge of the sword, and shalbe led captiue into all nations, and Hierusalem shalbe troden vnder foote of the Gentiles, vntill the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 Και θέλουσιν είσθαι σημεία εν τω ηλίω και τη σελήνη και τοις άστροις, και επί της γης στενοχωρία εθνών εν απορία, και θέλει ηχεί η θάλασσα και τα κύματα,
Then there shalbe signes in the sunne, and in the moone, and in the starres, and vpon the earth trouble among the nations with perplexitie: the sea and the waters shall roare.
26 οι άνθρωποι θέλουσιν αποψυχεί εκ του φόβου και προσδοκίας των επερχομένων δεινών εις την οικουμένην· διότι αι δυνάμεις των ουρανών θέλουσι σαλευθή.
And mens hearts shall faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.
27 Και τότε θέλουσιν ιδεί τον Υιόν του ανθρώπου ερχόμενον εν νεφέλη μετά δυνάμεως και δόξης πολλής.
And then shall they see the Sonne of man come in a cloude, with power and great glory.
28 Όταν δε ταύτα αρχίσωσι να γίνωνται, ανακύψατε και σηκώσατε τας κεφαλάς σας, διότι πλησιάζει η απολύτρωσίς σας.
And when these things beginne to come to passe, then looke vp, and lift vp your heades: for your redemption draweth neere.
29 Και είπε προς αυτούς παραβολήν· Ίδετε την συκήν και πάντα τα δένδρα.
And he spake to them a parable, Behold, the figge tree, and all trees,
30 Όταν ήδη ανοίξωσι, βλέποντες γνωρίζετε αφ' εαυτών ότι ήδη το θέρος είναι πλησίον.
When they nowe shoote foorth, ye seeing them, knowe of your owne selues, that sommer is then neere.
31 Ούτω και σεις, όταν ίδητε ταύτα γινόμενα, εξεύρετε ότι είναι πλησίον η βασιλεία του Θεού.
So likewise yee, when yee see these thinges come to passe, knowe ye that the kingdome of God is neere.
32 Αληθώς σας λέγω ότι δεν θέλει παρέλθει η γενεά αύτη, εωσού γείνωσι πάντα ταύτα.
Verely I say vnto you, This age shall not passe, till all these things be done:
33 Ο ουρανός και η γη θέλουσι παρέλθει, οι δε λόγοι μου δεν θέλουσι παρέλθει.
Heauen and earth shall passe away, but my wordes shall not passe away.
34 Προσέχετε δε εις εαυτούς μήποτε βαρυνθώσιν αι καρδίαι σας από κραιπάλης και μέθης και μεριμνών βιωτικών, και επέλθη αιφνίδιος εφ' υμάς η ημέρα εκείνη·
Take heede to your selues, lest at any time your hearts be oppressed with surfeting and drunkennesse, and cares of this life, and least that day come on you at vnwares.
35 διότι ως παγίς θέλει επέλθει επί πάντας τους καθημένους επί πρόσωπον πάσης της γης.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Αγρυπνείτε λοιπόν δεόμενοι εν παντί καιρώ, διά να καταξιωθήτε να εκφύγητε πάντα ταύτα τα μέλλοντα να γείνωσι και να σταθήτε έμπροσθεν του Υιού του ανθρώπου.
Watche therefore, and pray continually, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these thinges that shall come to passe, and that ye may stand before the Sonne of man.
37 Και τας μεν ημέρας εδίδασκεν εν τω ιερώ, τας δε νύκτας εξερχόμενος διενυκτέρευεν εις το όρος το ονομαζόμενον Ελαιών·
Nowe in the day time hee taught in the Temple, and at night hee went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Oliues.
38 και πας ο λαός από του όρθρου συνήρχετο προς αυτόν εν τω ιερώ διά να ακούη αυτόν.
And all the people came in the morning to him, to heare him in the Temple.
