Γένεσις 5
1 Τούτο είναι το βιβλίον της γενεαλογίας του ανθρώπου. Καθ' ην ημέραν εποίησεν ο Θεός τον Αδάμ, κατ' εικόνα Θεού εποίησεν αυτόν.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created humankind, he made him in God's likeness.
2 Άρσεν και θήλυ εποίησεν αυτούς· και ευλόγησεν αυτούς, και εκάλεσε το όνομα αυτών, Αδάμ, καθ' ην ημέραν εποίησεν αυτούς.
He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name "humankind" on the day when they were created.
3 Έζησε δε ο Αδάμ εκατόν τριάκοντα έτη, και εγέννησεν υιόν κατά την ομοίωσιν αυτού, κατά την εικόνα αυτού, και εκάλεσε το όνομα αυτού Σήθ·
Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
4 και έγειναν αι ημέραι του Αδάμ, αφού εγέννησε τον Σηθ, οκτακόσια έτη· και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were seven hundred years, and he became the father of sons and daughters.
5 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Αδάμ, τας οποίας έζησεν, εννεακόσια τριάκοντα έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, then he died.
6 Και έζησεν ο Σηθ εκατόν πέντε έτη, και εγέννησε τον Ενώς·
Seth lived two hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh.
7 και έζησεν ο Σηθ αφού εγέννησε τον Ενώς, οκτακόσια επτά έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh seven hundred and seven years, and fathered sons and daughters.
8 έγειναν δε πάσαι αι ημέραι του Σηθ εννεακόσια δώδεκα έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, then he died.
9 Και έζησεν ο Ενώς ενενήκοντα έτη, και εγέννησε τον Καϊνάν·
Enosh lived one hundred and ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
10 έζησε δε ο Ενώς, αφού εγέννησε τον Καϊνάν, οκτακόσια δεκαπέντε έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and fathered sons and daughters.
11 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Ενώς εννεακόσια πέντε έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, then he died.
12 Και έζησεν ο Καϊνάν εβδομήκοντα έτη, και εγέννησε τον Μααλαλεήλ·
Kenan lived one hundred and seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.
13 έζησε δε ο Καϊνάν, αφού εγέννησε τον Μααλαλεήλ, οκτακόσια τεσσαράκοντα έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel seven hundred and forty years, and fathered sons and daughters
14 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Καϊνάν εννεακόσια δέκα έτη· και απέθανε.
and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, then he died.
15 Και έζησεν ο Μααλαλεήλ εξήκοντα πέντε έτη, και εγέννησε τον Ιάρεδ·
Mahalalel lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.
16 έζησε δε ο Μααλαλεήλ, αφού εγέννησε τον Ιάρεδ, οκτακόσια τριάκοντα έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared seven hundred and thirty years, and fathered sons and daughters.
17 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Μααλαλεήλ οκτακόσια ενενήκοντα πέντε έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, then he died.
18 Και έζησεν ο Ιάρεδ εκατόν εξήκοντα δύο έτη, και εγέννησε τον Ενώχ·
Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Hanokh.
19 έζησε δε ο Ιάρεδ, αφού εγέννησε τον Ενώχ, οκτακόσια έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Jared lived after he became the father of Hanokh eight hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.
20 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Ιάρεδ εννεακόσια εξήκοντα δύο έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, then he died.
21 Και έζησεν ο Ενώχ εξήκοντα πέντε έτη, και εγέννησε τον Μαθουσάλα·
Hanokh lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.
22 και περιεπάτησεν ο Ενώχ μετά του Θεού, αφού εγέννησε τον Μαθουσάλα, τριακόσια έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Hanokh walked with God after he became the father of Methuselah two hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.
23 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Ενώχ τριακόσια εξήκοντα πέντε έτη.
All the days of Hanokh were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Και περιεπάτησεν ο Ενώχ μετά του Θεού, και δεν ευρίσκετο πλέον· διότι μετέθεσεν αυτόν ο Θεός.
Hanokh walked with God, and then he was not there, for God took him.
25 Και έζησεν ο Μαθουσάλα εκατόν ογδοήκοντα επτά έτη, και εγέννησε τον Λάμεχ·
Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
26 έζησε δε ο Μαθουσάλα, αφού εγέννησε τον Λάμεχ, επτακόσια ογδοήκοντα δύο έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and fathered sons and daughters.
27 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Μαθουσάλα εννεακόσια εξήκοντα εννέα έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, then he died.
28 Έζησε δε ο Λάμεχ εκατόν ογδοήκοντα δύο έτη, και εγέννησεν υιόν·
Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,
29 και εκάλεσε το όνομα αυτού Νώε, λέγων, Ούτος θέλει ανακουφίσει ημάς από του έργου ημών, και από του μόχθου των χειρών ημών, εξ αιτίας της γης την οποίαν κατηράσθη ο Κύριος.
and he named him Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us in our labor and in the hard work of our hands, because of the ground which God has cursed."
30 Έζησε δε ο Λάμεχ, αφού εγέννησε τον Νώε, πεντακόσια ενενήκοντα πέντε έτη, και εγέννησεν υιούς και θυγατέρας·
Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and fathered sons and daughters.
31 και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Λάμεχ επτακόσια εβδομήκοντα επτά έτη· και απέθανε.
All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, then he died.
32 Και ο Νώε ήτο ηλικίας πεντακοσίων ετών· και εγέννησεν ο Νώε τον Σημ, τον Χαμ, και τον Ιάφεθ.
Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
