Ἰεζεκιήλ 26

1 Και εν τω ενδεκάτω έτει, τη πρώτη του μηνός, έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ, λέγων,

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2 Υιέ ανθρώπου, επειδή η Τύρος είπε κατά της Ιερουσαλήμ, Εύγε, συνετρίβη η πύλη των λαών· εστράφη προς εμέ· θέλω γεμισθή, διότι ηρημώθη·

Son of man, Because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem. Aha! She is broken that was the doors of the peoples. She is turned unto me, — I shall be filled, She is laid waste,

3 διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, εγώ είμαι εναντίον σου, Τύρος, και θέλω επεγείρει εναντίον σου έθνη πολλά, ως επεγείρει η θάλασσα τα κύματα αυτής.

Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee O Tyre, — So then I will bring up against thee many nations, As the sea bringeth up its rolling waves;

4 Και θέλουσι καταστρέψει τα τείχη της Τύρου και κατεδαφίσει τους πύργους αυτής· και θέλω ξύσει το χώμα αυτής απ' αυτής και καταστήσει αυτήν ως λειόπετραν.

And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre. And break down her towers, And I will scrape clean her dust from off her, —And make of her the glaring face of a cliff:

5 Θέλει είσθαι διά να εξαπλόνωσι δίκτυα εν μέσω της θαλάσσης· διότι εγώ ελάλησα, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· και θέλει κατασταθή διαρπαγή των εθνών.

A place for the spreading of nets, shall she become, in the midst of the sea, For, I, have spoken Declareth My Lord. Yahweh, -And she shall become a prey to the nations.

6 Και αι κώμαι αυτής, αι εν τη πεδιάδι, θέλουσιν εξολοθρευθή εν μαχαίρα· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

And her daughters that are in the field: with the sword shall be slain: So shall they know that I am Yahweh.

7 Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, θέλω φέρει κατά της Τύρου τον Ναβουχοδονόσορ βασιλέα της Βαβυλώνος, βασιλέα βασιλέων, από βορρά, μεθ' ίππων και μετά αρμάτων και μεθ' ιππέων και συνάξεως και λαού πολλού.

For thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! bringing against Tyre. Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon out of the North. a king of kings, —with horses and with chariots and with horsemen, and a gathered host, and much people.

8 Ούτος θέλει εξολοθρεύσει εν μαχαίρα τας κώμας σου εν τη πεδιάδι· και θέλει εγείρει προμαχώνας εναντίον σου και θέλει κάμει προχώματα εναντίον σου και υψώσει κατά σου ασπίδας.

Thy daughters in the field—with the sword, shall he slay, - And shall set against thee a siege-wall And cast up against thee an earthwork, And set up against thee a large shield;

9 Και θέλει στήσει τας πολεμικάς μηχανάς αυτού επί τα τείχη σου και με τους πελέκεις αυτού θέλει καταβάλει τους πύργους σου.

And the stroke of his attacking-engine, will he direct against thy walls, — And thy towers, will he break down with his axes.

10 Από του πλήθους των ίππων αυτού ο κονιορτός αυτών θέλει σε σκεπάσει· τα τείχη σου θέλουσι σεισθή από του ήχου των ιππέων και των τροχών και των αμαξών, όταν εισέρχωνται εις τας πύλας σου, καθώς εισέρχονται εις πόλιν εκπορθουμένην.

By reason of the multitude of his horses, their dust shall cover thee, — At the noise of horseman and wheel and chariot, shall thy walls tremble, when he entereth into thy gates Just as they do who enter a city broken open.

11 Με τας οπλάς των ίππων αυτού θέλει καταπατήσει πάσας τας οδούς σου· τον λαόν σου θέλει θανατώσει εν μαχαίρα, και οι ισχυροί σου φρουροί θέλουσι καταβληθή εις την γην.

With the hoofs of his horses, shall he tread down all thy streets, — Thy people-with the sword, shall he slay, And thy pillars of strength to the earth, shall go down.

12 Και θέλουσι διαρπάσει τα πλούτη σου και λαφυραγωγήσει τα εμπορεύματά σου· και θέλουσι καταβάλει τα τείχη σου και κρημνίσει τους οίκους σου τους ώραίους· και θέλουσι ρίψει εις το μέσον των υδάτων τους λίθους σου και τα ξύλα σου και το χώμα σου.

And they shall spoil thy wealth And make a prey of thy merchandise, And break down thy walls And thy pleasant houses, shall they lay in ruins; And thy stones and thy timber and thy dust—in the midst of the waters, shall they lay.

13 Και θέλω παύσει τον θόρυβον των ασμάτων σου, και η φωνή των κιθαρών σου δεν θέλει ακουσθή πλέον·

And I will cause to cease the hum of thy songs; And the sound of thy lyres, shall not be heard any more.

14 και θέλω σε καταστήσει ως λειόπετραν· θέλεις είσθαι διά να εξαπλόνωσι δίκτυα· δεν θέλεις πλέον οικοδομηθή· διότι εγώ ο Κύριος ελάλησα, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός.

And I will make of thee the glaring face of a cliff. A place for the spreading of nets, shalt thou become, Thou shalt not be but any more, For I. Yahweh have spoken it, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

15 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός προς την Τύρον· δεν θέλουσι σεισθή αι νήσοι εις τον ήχον της πτώσεώς σου, όταν οι τραυματίαι σου στενάζωσιν, όταν η σφαγή γίνηται εν μέσω σου;

Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, to Tyre: Shall it not be that. At the sound of thy fall. With the groan of thy pierced one. With the slaughter made in thy midst, The Coastlands shall tremble?

16 Τότε πάντες οι ηγεμόνες της θαλάσσης θέλουσι καταβή από των θρόνων αυτών, και θέλουσιν εκβάλει τας χλαμύδας αυτών και εκδυθή τα κεντητά ιμάτια αυτών· θέλουσιν ενδυθή τρόμον· κατά γης θέλουσι καθήσει και τρέμει κατά πάσαν στιγμήν και εκπλήττεσθαι διά σε.

Then shall come down from off their thrones all the princes of the sea, And shall lay aside their robes. And their embroidered garments, shall strip off, — With tremblings, shall they clothe them. selves Upon the ground, shall they sit, And shall tremble every moment and be astonished over thee.

17 Και αναλαβόντες θρήνον διά σε θέλουσι λέγει προς σε, Πως κατεστράφης, η κατοικουμένη υπό θαλασσοπόρων, η περίφημος πόλις, ήτις ήσο ισχυρά εν θαλάσση, συ και οι κάτοικοί σου, οίτινες διέδιδον τον τρόμον αυτών εις πάντας τους ενοικούντας εν αυτή.

Then shall they take up over thee a dirge, And say to thee, - How hast thou perished, And ceased from the seas, - The city renowned which was strong in the sea She and they who dwelt in her, Who imparted their terror To all who dwelt in her.

18 Τώρα αι νήσοι θέλουσι τρέμει εν τη ημέρα της πτώσεώς σου, ναι, αι νήσοι αι εν τη θαλάσση θέλουσι ταραχθή εν τη αφανεία σου.

Now, shall tremble the Coastlands, In the day of thy fall, - And shall shudder the isles that are in the sea. At thine exit!

19 Διότι ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Όταν σε καταστήσω πόλιν ηρημωμένην ως τας πόλεις τας μη κατοικουμένας, όταν επιφέρω επί σε την άβυσσον και σε σκεπάσωσιν ύδατα πολλά,

For thus saith My Lord Yahweh, When I make thee a desolate city, Like cities which cannot be dwelt in, - When I bring up over thee the roaring deep, And the mighty waters cover thee,

20 όταν σε καταβιβάσω μετά των καταβαινόντων εις λάκκον, προς λαόν αιώνιον, και σε θέσω εις τα κατώτατα της γης, εις τόπους ερήμους απ' αιώνος, μετά των καταβαινόντων εις λάκκον, διά να μη κατοικηθής, και όταν αποκαταστήσω δόξαν εν τη γη των ζώντων,

Then will I bring thee down with them that go down into the pit. Unto the people of age-past times And cause thee to dwell in the earth below Among the desolations from age-past times With them that go down into the pit That thou mayest not be dwelt in, Nor yet present thyself in the land of the living.

21 θέλω σε καταστήσει τρόμον και δεν θέλεις υπάρχει· και θέλεις ζητηθή και δεν θέλεις ευρεθή πλέον εις τον αιώνα, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός.

A terror, will I make thee And thou shalt not be: Though thou be sought for, Thou shalt not be found any more To times age-abiding, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
