Δευτερονόμιον 14
1 Σεις είσθε υιοί Κυρίου του Θεού σας· δεν θέλετε κάμει εις το σώμα σας εντομάς, ουδέ θέλετε κάμει φαλάκρωμα αναμέσον των οφθαλμών σας, διά νεκρόν.
Sons, are ye unto Yahweh your God, —ye shall not cut yourselves, neither shall ye put baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 Διότι λαός άγιος είσαι εις Κύριον τον Θεόν σου· και σε εξέλεξεν ο Κύριος διά να ήσαι εις αυτόν λαός εκλεκτός, παρά πάντα τα έθνη τα επί της γης.
For, a holy people, thou art unto Yahweh thy God, —and, of thee, did Yahweh make choice, that thou shouldest become his people as a treasure, above all the peoples that are on the face of the ground.
3 Δεν θέλεις τρώγει ουδέν βδελυκτόν.
Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4 Ταύτα είναι τα κτήνη, τα οποία θέλετε τρώγει· ο βους, το πρόβατον και η αιξ,
These, are the beasts which ye may eat, —the ox, the young of sheep, and the young of goats;
5 η έλαφος και η δορκάς και ο βούβαλος και ο αγριότραγος και ο πύγαργος και ο άγριος βους και η καμηλοπάρδαλις.
the hart and the gazelle and the roebuck, —and the wild goat and the mountain goat, and the wild ox, and the mountain sheep.
6 Και παν τετράποδον έχον τον πόδα δίχηλον και το ονύχιον διηρημένον εις δύο χηλάς, και αναμασσών μεταξύ των τετραπόδων, ταύτα θέλετε τρώγει.
And every beast that parteth the hoof and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, chewing the cud, among beasts, the same, shall ye eat.
7 Ταύτα όμως δεν θέλετε τρώγει εκ των όσα αναμασσώσιν, ή εκ των όσα έχουσι το ονύχιον δίχηλον· την κάμηλον και τον λαγωόν και τον δασύποδα· διότι αναμασσώσι μεν, πλην δεν έχουσι διηρημένον το ονύχιον· ταύτα είναι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς·
Nevertheless these, shall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, and of them that divide the cloven hoof, —the camel and the hare and the rabbit for, though they do chew the cud, yet the hoof, do they not part, unclean, they are unto you.
8 και τον χοίρον, διότι έχει μεν το ονύχιον δίχηλον, πλην δεν αναμασσά· είναι ακάθαρτος εις εσάς· από του κρέατος αυτών δεν θέλετε τρώγει ουδέ το θνησιμαίον αυτών θέλετε εγγίζει.
And, the swine, because though he doth divide the hoof, yet he cheweth not the cud, unclean, he is unto you, —of their flesh, shall ye not eat, and their carcases, shall ye not touch.
9 Εκ πάντων των εν τοις ύδασι ταύτα θέλετε τρώγει πάντα, όσα έχουσι πτερύγια και λέπη, θέλετε τρώγει·
These, may ye eat of all that that are in the waters, —whatsoever hath fins and scales, ye may eat;
10 πάντα δε, όσα δεν έχουσι πτερύγια και λέπη, δεν θέλετε τρώγει· είναι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς.
and, whatsoever hath not, fins and scales, ye may not eat, —unclean, it is unto you.
11 Παν πτηνόν καθαρόν θέλετε τρώγει.
Of every clean bird, ye may eat;
12 Ταύτα όμως είναι εκείνα, εκ των οποίων δεν θέλετε τρώγει· ο αετός και ο γρυπαετός και ο μελαναετός
saving these, of which ye may not eat, —the eagle and the ossifrage and the osprey;
13 και ο γυπαετός και ο ίκτινος και ο γυψ κατά το είδος αυτού,
and the vulture and the kite, and the falcon after its kind;
14 και πας κόραξ κατά το είδος αυτού,
and every raven after its kind;
15 και η στρουθοκάμηλος και η γλαύξ και ο ίβις και ο ιέραξ κατά το είδος αυτού,
and the female ostrich, and the male ostrich and the sea-gull, —and the hawk, after its kind;
16 ο νυκτικόραξ και η μεγάλη γλαύξ και ο κύκνος,
and the pelican and the bittern, and the swan;
17 και ο πελεκάν και η κίσσα και η αίθυια,
and the vomiting pelican and the little vulture and the gannet;
18 και ο πελαργός και ο ερωδιός κατά το είδος αυτού και ο έπωψ και η νυκτερίς.
and the stork, and the parrot, after its kind, —and the mountain-cock, and the bat.
19 Και πάντα τα ερπετά τα πτερωτά είναι ακάθαρτα εις εσάς· δεν θέλουσι τρώγεσθαι.
And, as for every creeping thing that flieth, unclean, it is unto you, —they, shall not be eaten.
20 Παν πτηνόν καθαρόν θέλετε τρώγει.
All clean fowls, ye may eat.
21 Ουδέν θνησιμαίον θέλετε τρώγει· εις τον ξένον τον εντός των πυλών σου θέλεις δίδει αυτά, διά να τρώγη αυτό· ή θέλεις πωλεί αυτό εις αλλογενή· διότι λαός άγιος είσαι εις Κύριον τον Θεόν σου. Δεν θέλεις εψήσει ερίφιον εν τω γάλακτι της μητρός αυτού.
Ye shall not eat any thing that dieth of itself: to the sojourner who is within thy gates, mayest thou give it and he may eat it or thou mayest sell it to a foreigner, for a holy people, art thou unto Yahweh thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid, in the milk of its dam.
22 Θέλεις εξάπαντος δεκατίζει πάντα τα γεννήματα του σπόρου σου, τα οποία φέρει ο αγρός κατ' έτος.
Thou shalt surely tithe, all the increase of thy seed, —which the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 Και θέλεις τρώγει ενώπιον Κυρίου του Θεού σου, εν τω τόπω όντινα εκλέξη διά να θέση το όνομα αυτού εκεί, το δέκατον του σίτου σου, του οίνου σου και του ελαίου σου, και τα πρωτότοκα των βοών σου και των προβάτων σου· διά να μάθης να φοβήσαι πάντοτε Κύριον τον Θεόν σου.
And thou shalt eat before Yahweh thy God—in the place which he shall choose to make a habitation for his name there, —the tithe of thy corn thy new wine and thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock, —that thou mayest learn to revere Yahweh thy God all the days.
24 Και εάν η οδός ήναι πολύ μακράν διά σε, ώστε να μη δύνασαι να φέρης αυτά, ή εάν ο τόπος απέχη πολύ από σου, όντινα εκλέξη Κύριος ο Θεός σου διά να θέση εκεί το όνομα αυτού, ότε σε ηυλόγησε Κύριος ο Θεός σου,
But, when the way becometh too long for thee because thou canst not carry it, because the place is too far for thee which Yahweh thy God shall choose to put his name there, —because Yahweh thy God blesseth thee,
25 τότε θέλεις εξαργυρώσει αυτά, και θέλεις κομποδέσει το αργύριον εις την χείρα σου και υπάγει εις τον τόπον όντινα εκλέξη Κύριος ο Θεός σου·
then shalt thou turn it into silver, —and shalt bind up the silver in thy hand, and shalt journey unto the place, which Yahweh thy God shall choose;
26 και θέλεις δώσει το αργύριον αντί οποιουδήποτε πράγματος επιθυμεί η ψυχή σου, αντί βοών ή αντί προβάτων ή αντί οίνου ή αντί σίκερα ή αντί οποιουδήποτε πράγματος ορέγεται η ψυχή σου· και θέλεις τρώγει εκεί ενώπιον Κυρίου του Θεού σου, και θέλεις ευφρανθή, συ και ο οίκός σου
and shalt turn the silver into whatsoever thy soul desireth—of the herd or of the flock, or of wine or of strong drink, or of whatsoever thy soul shall ask thee for, —and shalt eat it there, before Yahweh thy God, and shalt rejoice, thou and thy household,
27 και ο Λευΐτης ο εντός των πυλών σου· δεν θέλεις εγκαταλείψει αυτόν· διότι δεν έχει μερίδα ουδέ κληρονομίαν μετά σου.
and, the Levite who is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him, —for he hath neither portion nor inheritance with thee.
28 Εις το τέλος του τρίτου έτους, θέλεις εκφέρει παν το δέκατον των γεννημάτων σου του έτους εκείνου, και θέλεις εναποθέτει εντός των πυλών σου·
At the end of three years, shalt thou bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in that year, —and shalt lay it up within thy gates;
29 και ο Λευΐτης, διότι δεν έχει μερίδα ουδέ κληρονομίαν μετά σου, και ο ξένος και ο ορφανός και η χήρα, οίτινες είναι εντός των πυλών σου, θέλουσιν έρχεσθαι και θέλουσι τρώγει και χορταίνει διά να σε ευλογήση Κύριος ο Θεός σου εις πάντα τα έργα της χειρός σου όσα εργάζεσαι.
and the Levite shall come in—because he hath neither portion nor inheritance with thee—and the sojourner and the fatherless and the widow who are within thy gates, and they shall eat and be satisfied, —that Yahweh thy God may bless thee, in all the work of thy hand which thou shalt do.
