Ψαλμοί 146

1 αλληλουια Αγγαιου καὶ Ζαχαριου αἴνει ἡ ψυχή μου τὸν κύριον

Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah.

2 αἰνέσω κύριον ἐν ζωῇ μου ψαλῶ τῷ θεῷ μου ἕως ὑπάρχω

I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.

3 μὴ πεποίθατε ἐπ’ ἄρχοντας καὶ ἐφ’ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν σωτηρία

Trust not in princes — in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance.

4 ἐξελεύσεται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀπολοῦνται πάντες οἱ διαλογισμοὶ αὐτῶν

His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished.

5 μακάριος οὗ ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ βοηθός ἡ ἐλπὶς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτοῦ

O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope [is] on Jehovah his God,

6 τὸν ποιήσαντα τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν φυλάσσοντα ἀλήθειαν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα

Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that [is] in them, Who is keeping truth to the age,

7 ποιοῦντα κρίμα τοῖς ἀδικουμένοις διδόντα τροφὴν τοῖς πεινῶσιν κύριος λύει πεπεδημένους

Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.

8 κύριος ἀνορθοῖ κατερραγμένους κύριος σοφοῖ τυφλούς κύριος ἀγαπᾷ δικαίους

Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous,

9 κύριος φυλάσσει τοὺς προσηλύτους ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν ἀναλήμψεται καὶ ὁδὸν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἀφανιεῖ

Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down.

10 βασιλεύσει κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὁ θεός σου Σιων εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν

Jehovah doth reign to the age, Thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise ye Jah!
