< Isaia 51 >

1 “Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ mũrũmagĩrĩra maũndũ ma ũthingu ta thikĩrĩriai, o inyuĩ mũrongoragia Jehova: Rorai rwaro rwa ihiga rũrĩa mwarutirwo, o na kĩenjero kĩa mahiga kĩrĩa mwenjirwo;
Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look to the rock from which ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which ye are dug.
2 ta rorai Iburahĩmu, o we ithe wanyu, o na Sara, ũrĩa wamũciarire. Nĩgũkorwo hĩndĩ ĩrĩa aarĩ o wiki nĩguo ndamwĩtire, na ngĩmũrathima, ngĩtũma aingĩhe.
Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
3 Ti-itherũ Jehova nĩakahooreria Zayuni, o na ahoorerie kũndũ gwakuo kũrĩa kwanangĩtwo; werũ wakuo akaaũtua o ta Edeni, na rũngʼũrĩ rwakuo arũtue o ta mũgũnda wa Jehova. Kũu guothe gũkaiyũra gĩkeno, na gũcanjamũka ngoro, na gũcookagia ngaatho, o gũkĩinagwo nyĩmbo.
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
4 “Inyuĩ andũ akwa ta thikĩrĩriai, na inyuĩ rũrĩrĩ rwakwa, njiguai: Nĩgũkorwo watho ũkoima harĩ niĩ; nakĩo kĩhooto gĩakwa nĩkĩo gĩgaatuĩka ũtheri wa ndũrĩrĩ.
Hearken to me, my people; and give ear to me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
5 Ũhoro wakwa wa ũthingu nĩũrooka o na ihenya, nakuo kũhonokania gwakwa kũrĩ hakuhĩ kuoneka, o nakuo guoko gwakwa nĩkuo gũgaatuĩra andũ a ndũrĩrĩ ciira wa kĩhooto. Andũ a icigĩrĩra-inĩ nĩ niĩ magaacũthĩrĩria na meterere guoko gwakwa marĩ na mwĩhoko.
My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on my arm shall they trust.
No rĩrĩ, ũhonokio wakwa nĩwagũtũũra nginya tene, naguo ũthingu wakwa ndũrĩ hĩndĩ ũgaathira.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment, and its inhabitants shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 “Ta njiguai, inyuĩ andũ arĩa mũũĩ ũhoro wa ũthingu, o inyuĩ andũ arĩa mũrũmĩtie watho wakwa ngoro-inĩ cianyu: Mũtigetigĩre kũmenwo nĩ andũ, o na kana mũmakio nĩ irumi iria mamũrumaga nacio.
Hearken to me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8 Nĩgũkorwo makaarĩĩo nĩ memenyi mathire biũ o ta nguo; na marĩĩo nĩ igunyũ o ta marĩ guoya wa ngʼondu. No rĩrĩ, ũhoro wakwa wa ũthingu nĩ wa gũtũũra nginya tene, naguo ũhonokio wakwa ũtũũre nginya njiarwa-inĩ ciothe.”
For the moth shall eat them like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
9 Arahũka, arahũka! Wĩĩkĩre hinya, wee guoko kwa Jehova; arahũka o ta ũrĩa waarahũkire matukũ marĩa ma tene, warahũke o ta hĩndĩ ya njiarwa cia tene. Githĩ wee tiwe watinangirie Rahabu tũcunjĩ, o wee watheecangire nyamũ ĩyo nene, ũkĩmĩtũrĩkania?
Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not that which hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
10 Githĩ tiwe wahũithirie iria, maaĩ ma kũndũ kũrĩa kũriku mũno, o wee watemire njĩra kũu iria-inĩ kũrĩa kũriku, nĩgeetha andũ arĩa wakũũrĩte maringĩre yo?
Art thou not that which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
11 Andũ arĩa akũũre a Jehova nĩmagacooka.
Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
12 “Niĩ, o niĩ mwene-rĩ, nĩ niĩ ndĩmũhooreragia. Wee ũrĩ ũ, atĩ nĩguo wĩtigĩre andũ arĩa makuuaga, na ũgetigĩra ariũ a andũ arĩa magaatuuo o ta nyeki,
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;
And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
15 Nĩgũkorwo nĩ niĩ Jehova Ngai wanyu, ũrĩa ũtũmaga iria rĩikie ndiihũ nĩguo makũmbĩ marĩo makaruruma; Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe nĩrĩo rĩĩtwa rĩake.
But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
16 Nĩnjĩkĩrĩte ciugo ciakwa kanua-inĩ gaku, na ngakũhumbĩra na kĩĩruru gĩa guoko gwakwa, o niĩ ndatambũrũkirie matu harĩa marĩ, na ngĩaka mĩthingi ya thĩ, o niĩ njĩĩraga andũ a Zayuni atĩrĩ, ‘Inyuĩ mũrĩ andũ akwa.’”
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, Thou art my people.
17 Arahũka, arahũka! Wee Jerusalemu ũkĩra, o wee ũnyuĩrĩire gĩkombe kĩa mangʼũrĩ ma Jehova, ũnengereirio kuuma guoko-inĩ gwake, o wee ũnyuĩrĩire kuuma mbakũri ĩrĩa ĩtũmaga andũ matũgũũge na ũkamĩinĩkĩrĩria.
Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drank the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
18 Harĩ ariũ ake othe arĩa aaciarire, gũtirĩ o na ũmwe ũngĩmũtongoria; o na ningĩ ariũ ake othe arĩa aarerire-rĩ, gũtirĩ o na ũmwe ũngĩmũnyiita guoko.
There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.
These two things have come to thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
21 Nĩ ũndũ ũcio igua ũhoro ũyũ, wee ũnyariirĩtwo, ũkarĩĩo, no ti ndibei ĩkũrĩĩte.
Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunk, but not with wine:
22 Mwathani Jehova Ngai waku ũrĩa ũgitagĩra andũ ake, ekuuga ũũ: “Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩngwehereirie gĩkombe kĩrĩa gĩatũmire ũtũgũge, ngakĩruta guoko-inĩ gwaku; o na ngakwehereria mbakũri ya mangʼũrĩ makwa, na ndũgacooka kũmĩnyuĩra rĩngĩ.
Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
23 Nĩnganeana mbakũri ĩyo moko-inĩ ma arĩa makũnyariiraga, o arĩa maakwĩrire atĩrĩ, ‘Wĩgũithie thĩ, nĩguo tũkũgerere igũrũ.’ Nawe ũgĩkoma, mũgongo waku ũgĩtuĩka taarĩ thĩ, na ũkĩũtua taarĩ njĩra nĩguo andũ acio makũgeragĩre igũrũ.”
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; who have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
