Psalm 96

1 Singet ein neues Lied dem Jehovah, singet dem Jehovah, die ganze Erde.

Sing to YHWH a new song. Sing to YHWH, all the earth.

2 Singet Jehovah, segnet Seinen Namen! Verkündigt Sein Heil von Tag zu Tag!

Sing to YHWH. Bless his name. Proclaim his salvation from day to day.

3 Erzählt Seine Herrlichkeit unter den Völkerschaften, unter allen Völkern Seine Wunder.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.

4 Denn groß und sehr zu loben ist Jehovah. Furchtbar ist Er über allen Göttern.

For great is YHWH, and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods.

5 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Götzen, aber Jehovah machte die Himmel.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but YHWH made the heavens.

6 Majestät ist und Ehre vor Seinem Angesicht, Stärke und Schmuck in Seinem Heiligtum.

Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Gebt her Jehovah, ihr Familien der Völker, gebt her Jehovah Herrlichkeit und Stärke!

Ascribe to YHWH, you families of nations, ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.

8 Gebt her Jehovah die Herrlichkeit Seines Namens, bringt Speiseopfer und kommt in Seine Vorhöfe!

Ascribe to YHWH the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 Jehovah betet an in der Ehre der Heiligkeit! Es kreiße vor Ihm die ganze Erde.

Worship YHWH in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Sprecht unter den Völkerschaften: Jehovah ist König; auch ist gefestigt die Welt, nicht wankt sie. Er schafft Recht den Völkern in Geradheit.

Say among the nations, "YHWH reigns." The world is also established. It can't be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.

11 Es seien fröhlich die Himmel und die Erde frohlocke, es brause das Meer und seine Fülle.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness.

12 Das Gefilde jauchze und alles, was darauf, dann lasset lobpreisen alle Bäume des Waldes.

Let the field and all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joy

13 Vor Jehovah; denn Er kommt, Er kommt zu richten die Erde. Er richtet die Welt in Gerechtigkeit und die Völker in Seiner Wahrheit.

before YHWH; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.
