Psalm 60
1 Dem Sangmeister. Auf Schuschan Eduth. Ein Goldlied Davids zum Lehren. Als er mit Aram der zwei Flüsse und mit Aram von Zobah kämpfte, und Joab zurückkehrte und im Salztal zwölftausend Edomiter schlug. Gott, Du hast uns verworfen, einen Durchbruch wider uns gemacht, Du zürntest, kehre zurück zu uns.
To him that excelleth upon Shushan Eduth, or Michtam. A Psalme of David to teach. When he fought against Aram Naharaim, and against Aram Zobah, when Joab returned and slew twelve thousand Edomites in the salt valley. O God, thou hast cast vs out, thou hast scattered vs, thou hast bene angry, turne againe vnto vs.
2 Du hast die Erde erbeben lassen, sie zerrüttet, heile ihre Brüche; denn sie wankt.
Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.
3 Du hast gezeigt Hartes Deinem Volk, hast uns getränkt mit Wein des Taumels.
Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.
4 Du hattest denen, die Dich fürchten, ein Panier gegeben, um ein Panier zu erheben wegen der Wahrheit, (Selah)
But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. (Selah)
5 Auf daß Deine Lieben herausgezogen werden, rette mit Deiner Rechten und antworte uns.
That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
6 Gott hat geredet in Seiner Heiligkeit: Ich werde jauchzen; Ich will Sichem verteilen, und den Talgrund Sukkoth ausmessen.
God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.
7 Mein ist Gilead, und Mein Menascheh, und Ephraim ist Meines Hauptes Stärke, Mein Gesetzgeber Jehudah.
Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iudah is my lawgiuer.
8 Moab, der Topf Meines Waschens; über Edom werfe Ich Meine Schuhe; über Philistäa juble Ich.
Moab shalbe my wash pot: ouer Edom will I cast out my shoe: Palestina shew thy selfe ioyfull for me.
9 Wer wird mich geleiten zur befestigten Stadt? Wer mich bis Edom führen?
Who will leade me into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
10 Nicht Du, o Gott, Der Du uns verworfen, und nicht auszogst, o Gott, in unseren Heerscharen?
Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast vs off, and didest not go forth, O God, with our armies?
11 Gib Du uns Beistand von dem Dränger; ist eitel doch des Menschen Heil.
Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
12 Mit Gott tun wir Tapferes; und Er zertritt unsere Dränger.
Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall tread downe our enemies.
