Matthaeus 26
1 Und es geschah, da Jesus alle diese Worte vollendet hatte, sprach Er zu Seinen Jüngern:
When Yeshua had finished all these words, he said to his disciples,
2 Ihr wisset, daß nach zwei Tagen Pascha wird; und des Menschen Sohn wird überantwortet, daß Er gekreuzigt werde.
“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
3 Da versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten und die Ältesten des Volkes in dem Hof des Hohenpriesters, genannt Kaiaphas.
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.
4 Und berieten sich, wie sie Jesus mit Trug ergriffen und töteten.
They took counsel together that they might take Yeshua by deceit and kill him.
5 Sie sprachen aber: Nicht am Fest, damit nicht ein Getümmel werde unter dem Volk.
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur amongst the people.”
6 Da Jesus aber in Bethanien, im Hause Simons des Aussätzigen war,
Now when Yeshua was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 Kam zu Ihm ein Weib, das hatte eine Alabasterbüchse kostbarer Salbe und goß sie über Sein Haupt, da Er zu Tische lag.
a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.
8 Da das aber die Jünger sahen, wurden sie unwillig und sprachen: Wozu diese Verschwendung?
But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
9 Denn man hätte die Salbe um vieles verkaufen und es den Armen geben können.
For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”
10 Da das Jesus erkannte, sprach Er zu ihnen: Was bietet ihr dem Weibe Ungelegenheiten? Denn ein gutes Werk hat sie an Mir gewirkt.
However, knowing this, Yeshua said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a good work for me.
11 Denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, Mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.
For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.
12 Daß sie diese Salbe auf Meinen Leib goß, das hat sie für Mein Begräbnis getan.
For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
13 Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Wo in der ganzen Welt dies Evangelium gepredigt wird, wird man auch reden von dem, was sie getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.
Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”
14 Da ging einer von den Zwölfen, genannt Judas Ischariot, hin zu den Hohenpriestern,
Then one of the twelve, who was called Judah Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 Und sprach: Was wollt ihr mir geben, daß ich Ihn euch überantworte? Sie aber bestimmten ihm dreißig Silberlinge.
and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?” So they weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.
16 Und von da an suchte er eine gute Gelegenheit, daß er Ihn verriete.
From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
17 Aber am ersten des Ungesäuerten kamen die Jünger zu Jesus und sagten: Wo willst Du, daß wir Dir bereiten, das Paschalamm zu essen?
Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Yeshua, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
18 Er aber sprach: Geht hin in die Stadt zu einem und sagt ihm: der Lehrer sagt: Meine Zeit ist nahe; bei dir halte Ich das Pascha mit Meinen Jüngern.
He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Rabbi says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”
19 Und die Jünger taten, wie ihnen Jesus verordnet hatte, und bereiteten das Pascha.
The disciples did as Yeshua commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
20 Als es aber Abend geworden, legte Er Sich mit den Zwölfen zu Tisch.
Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
21 Und da sie aßen, sprach Er: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird Mich verraten.
As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
22 Und sie wurden sehr betrübt, fingen an, ein jeglicher von ihnen, zu Ihm zu sagen: Ich bin es doch nicht, Herr?
They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It isn’t me, is it, Lord?”
23 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Der mit Mir die Hand in die Schale eintaucht, der wird Mich verraten.
He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish will betray me.
24 Des Menschen Sohn geht zwar dahin, wie es von Ihm geschrieben ist; aber wehe jenem Menschen, durch den des Menschen Sohn verraten wird. Es wäre solchem Menschen besser, er wäre nie geboren.
The Son of Man goes even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
25 Judas aber, der Ihn verriet, antwortete und sprach: Ich bin es doch nicht, Rabbi? Er spricht zu ihm: Du hast es gesagt.
Judah, who betrayed him, answered, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”
26 Da sie aber aßen, nahm Jesus das Brot, und segnete, brach es, und gab es den Jüngern und sprach: Nehmet, esset, das ist Mein Leib!
As they were eating, Yeshua took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
27 Und Er nahm den Kelch, dankte, und gab ihnen den und sprach: Trinket alle daraus.
He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
28 Denn das ist Mein Blut, das des Neuen Bundes, das für viele vergossen wird zur Vergebung der Sünden.
for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
29 Aber Ich sage euch, Ich werde von nun an von diesem Gewächse des Weinstocks mitnichten trinken, bis zu dem Tage, da Ich es neu mit euch trinken werde in Meines Vaters Reiche.
But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”
30 Und nach dem Lobgesang gingen sie hinaus an den Ölberg.
When they had sung the Hallel, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 Dann spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Ihr werdet euch in dieser Nacht alle an Mir ärgern; denn es ist geschrieben: Ich werde den Hirten schlagen und die Schafe der Herde werden sich zerstreuen.
Then Yeshua said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32 Wenn Ich aber auferweckt bin, werde Ich euch nach Galiläa vorangehen.
But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”
33 Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu Ihm: Wenn sich auch alle an Dir ärgern, so will doch ich mich nimmermehr ärgern.
But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”
34 Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, Ich sage dir, in dieser selben Nacht, ehe der Hahn kräht, wirst du Mich dreimal verleugnen.
Yeshua said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
35 Spricht zu Ihm Petrus: Und wenn ich auch mit Dir sterben müßte, werde ich Dich mitnichten verleugnen, desgleichen sprachen auch alle Jünger.
Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.
36 Da kommt Jesus mit ihnen an einen Hof, Gethsemane genannt, und spricht zu den Jüngern: Setzet euch hier, indes Ich dort hingehe und bete.
Then Yeshua came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”
37 Und Er nahm mit Sich Petrus und die zwei Söhne des Zebedäus und fing an Sich zu betrüben und zu zagen.
He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
38 Dann spricht Er zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist tief betrübt bis in den Tod. Bleibet hier und wachet mit Mir.
Then Yeshua said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me.”
39 Und Er ging ein wenig vor, fiel auf Sein Angesicht, betete und sprach: Mein Vater, so es möglich ist, laß diesen Kelch an Mir vorübergehen, doch nicht, wie Ich will, sondern wie Du.
He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
40 Und Er kommt zu den Jüngern und findet sie schlummernd, und spricht zu Petrus: So vermochtet ihr denn nicht eine Stunde mit Mir zu wachen?
He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?
41 Wachet und betet, auf daß ihr nicht in Versuchung kommt. Der Geist zwar ist willig, aber das Fleisch ist schwach,
Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 Und Er ging wieder zum zweiten Male hin, betete und sprach: Mein Vater, kann dieser Kelch nicht an Mir vorübergehen, Ich trinke ihn denn, so geschehe Dein Wille!
Again, a second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
43 Und Er kommt und findet sie abermals schlummernd; denn die Augen waren ihnen beschwert.
He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
44 Und Er ließ sie und ging wieder hin und betete zum dritten Male, indem Er dieselben Worte sprach.
He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
45 Da kommt Er zu Seinen Jüngern und spricht zu ihnen: So schlummert denn ferner und ruhet aus. Siehe, die Stunde ist nahe, und des Menschen Sohn wird in die Hände der Sünder überantwortet.
Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 Macht euch auf, laßt uns gehen! Siehe, er ist nahe, der Mich verrät.
Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”
47 Und als Er noch redete, siehe, da kam Judas, einer der Zwölfe, und mit ihm vieles Gedränge mit Schwertern und Knitteln von den Hohenpriestern und Ältesten des Volkes.
While he was still speaking, behold, Judah, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Der Ihn verriet hatte ihnen aber ein Zeichen gegeben und gesagt: Der, Den ich küssen werde, Der ist es, Den ergreifet!
Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”
49 Und alsbald kam er zu Jesus herbei und sprach: Sei gegrüßt, Rabbi! und küßte Ihn.
Immediately he came to Yeshua, and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.
50 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Weshalb bist du hier, Geselle? Da kamen sie herzu, legten die Hände an Jesus und ergriffen Ihn.
Yeshua said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Yeshua, and took him.
51 Und siehe, einer von denen, die bei Jesus waren, reckte die Hand aus, zog sein Schwert heraus und schlug des Hohenpriesters Knecht und hieb ihm das Ohr ab.
Behold, one of those who were with Yeshua stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
52 Da spricht Jesus zu ihm: Stecke dein Schwert an seinen Ort; denn alle, die das Schwert nehmen, sollen durch das Schwert umkommen.
Then Yeshua said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
53 Oder meinst du, Ich könnte nicht eben jetzt Meinen Vater anflehen, und Er würde Mir mehr den zwölf Legionen Engel zustellen?
Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Wie würden die Schriften dann erfüllt, daß es also geschehen muß?
How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”
55 Zur selben Stunde sprach Jesus zu dem Gedränge: Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr gegen Mich mit Schwertern und Knitteln ausgezogen, um Mich zu fangen. Täglich saß Ich bei euch und lehrte im Heiligtum, und ihr habt Mich nicht ergriffen.
In that hour Yeshua said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.
56 Dies alles aber ist geschehen, daß die Schriften der Propheten erfüllt würden. Da verließen Ihn alle Seine Jünger und flohen.
But all this has happened that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.
57 Die aber Jesus ergriffen hatten, führten Ihn hin zum Hohenpriester Kaiaphas, wo sich die Schriftgelehrten und die Ältesten versammelt hatten.
Those who had taken Yeshua led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
58 Petrus aber folgte Ihm nach von weitem bis in den Hof des Hohenpriesters, ging hinein und setzte sich zu den Amtsdienern, um das Ende zu sehen.
But Peter followed him from a distance to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.
59 Die Hohenpriester aber und die Ältesten und der ganze Rat suchten falsches Zeugnis wider Jesus, um Ihn zum Tode zu bringen;
Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Yeshua, that they might put him to death,
60 Und sie fanden keines; und obgleich viele falsche Zeugen herzukamen, fanden sie keines. Danach kamen aber zwei falsche Zeugen herzu und sagten:
and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward
61 Dieser hat gesagt: Ich kann den Tempel Gottes niederreißen und in drei Tagen ihn aufbauen.
and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
62 Und der Hohepriester stand auf und sprach zu Ihm: Antwortest Du nichts auf das, was diese wider Dich zeugen?
The high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”
63 Jesus aber schwieg stille. Und der Hohepriester antwortete und sprach zu Ihm: Ich beschwöre Dich bei Gott dem Lebendigen, daß Du uns sagst, ob Du Christus, der Sohn Gottes bist?
But Yeshua stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”
64 Spricht zu ihm Jesus: Du hast es gesagt. Doch sage Ich euch: Hinfort werdet ihr des Menschen Sohn sitzen sehen zur Rechten der Kraft und kommen auf den Wolken des Himmels.
Yeshua said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
65 Da zerriß der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sprach: Er hat gelästert. Was bedürfen wir noch Zeugen? Seht, nun habt ihr Seine Lästerung gehört!
Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
66 Was dünkt euch? Sie aber antworteten und sprachen: Er ist des Todes schuldig.
What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”
67 Da speieten sie Ihm ins Angesicht und schlugen Ihn mit Fäusten. Etliche aber gaben Ihm Backenstreiche,
Then they spat in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,
68 Und sprachen: Weissage uns, Christus! Wer hat dich geschlagen?
saying, “Prophesy to us, you Messiah! Who hit you?”
69 Petrus aber saß draußen in dem Hof; und eine Magd kam zu ihm und sprach: Auch du warst mit Jesus, dem Galiläer.
Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Yeshua, the Galilean!”
70 Er aber leugnete vor allen und sprach: Ich weiß nicht, was du sagst.
But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
71 Als er aber in das Tor hinauskam, sah ihn eine andere und sagte zu denen, die daselbst waren: Auch der da war mit Jesus, dem Nazarener.
When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Yeshua of Nazareth.”
72 Und er leugnete wiederum mit einem Schwur: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht.
Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”
73 Ein wenig danach aber kamen die dort Stehenden herzu und sprachen zu Petrus: Wahrlich, auch du bist einer von ihnen, denn auch deine Sprache macht dich kennbar.
After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”
74 Da fing er an, sich zu verwünschen und zu schwören: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht. Und alsbald krähte der Hahn.
Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.
75 Und Petrus gedachte der Rede Jesu, da Er zu ihm sprach: Ehe der Hahn kräht, wirst du Mich dreimal verleugnen. Und er ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich.
Peter remembered the word which Yeshua had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.
