Richter 13

1 Und die Söhne Israels taten wiederum Böses in den Augen Jehovahs, und Jehovah gab sie in die Hand der Philister vierzig Jahre.

Bvt the children of Israel continued to commit wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord deliuerd them into the handes of the Philistims fourtie yeere.

2 Und es war ein Mann aus Zorah, aus der Familie der Daniten, und sein Name war Manoach; und sein Weib war unfruchtbar und gebar nicht.

Then there was a man in Zorah of the familie of the Danites, named Manoah, whose wife was baren, and bare not.

3 Und es erschien dem Weibe der Engel Jehovahs und sprach zu ihr: Siehe doch, du bist unfruchtbar und gebierst nicht, aber du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären.

And the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto the woman, and said vnto her, Beholde nowe, thou art baren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne.

4 So hüte dich nun, daß du nicht Wein noch starkes Getränk trinkst, noch irgend etwas Unreines issest.

And nowe therefore beware that thou drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing.

5 Denn siehe, du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären. Und es soll ihm kein Schermesser auf das Haupt kommen, denn ein Nasiräer Gottes soll der Junge sein von Mutterleib an, und er soll anfangen, Israel aus der Hand der Philister zu retten.

For loe, thou shalt conceiue and beare a sonne, and no rasor shall come on his head: for the childe shall be a Nazarite vnto God from his birth: and he shall begin to saue Israel out of the handes of the Philistims.

6 Und das Weib kam und sprach zu ihrem Manne und sagte: Ein Mann Gottes kam zu mir und sein Ansehen war wie das Ansehen eines Engels Gottes, sehr furchtbar, und ich fragte ihn nicht, woher er wäre und seinen Namen hat er mir nicht angesagt.

Then the wife came, and tolde her husband, saying, A man of God came vnto me, and the facion of him was like the facion of the Angel of God exceeding feareful, but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name,

7 Und er sprach zu mir: Siehe, du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären. So trinke nun keinen Wein, noch starkes Getränk und iß nicht irgend etwa Unreines, denn der Junge soll ein Nasiräer Gottes sein von Mutterleib an bis zum Tage seines Todes.

But he saide vnto me, Beholde, thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne, and nowe thou shalt drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing: for the childe shalbe a Nazarite to God from his birth to the day of his death.

8 Und Manoach flehte zu Jehovah und sprach: Laß doch, o Herr, den Mann Gottes, den Du gesendet hast, abermals zu uns kommen, daß Er uns unterweise, was wir zu tun haben mit dem Jungen, der geboren werden soll.

Then Manoah prayed to the Lord and saide, I pray thee, my Lord, Let the man of God, whome thou sentest, come againe nowe vnto vs, and teach vs what we shall doe vnto the child when he is borne.

9 Und Gott hörte auf die Stimme Manoachs, und der Engel Gottes kam abermals zu dem Weibe und sie saß auf dem Felde, und Manoach, ihr Mann, war nicht bei ihr.

And God heard the voyce of Manoah, and the Angel of God came againe vnto the wife, as she sate in the fielde, but Manoah her husband was not with her.

10 Und das Weib eilte und lief, und sagte es ihrem Manne an und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, der Mann ist mir erschienen, der an jenem Tage zu mir gekommen war.

And the wife made haste and ranne, and shewed her husband and sayde vnto him, Behold, the man hath appeared vnto me, that came vnto me to day.

11 Und Manoach machte sich auf und ging seinem Weibe nach und kam zu dem Manne und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Mann, der mit dem Weibe geredet hat? Und Er sprach: Ich bin es.

And Manoah arose and went after his wife, and came to the man, and saide vnto him, Art thou the man that spakest vnto the woman? and he said, Yea.

12 Und Manoach sprach: Wenn nun kommen wird, was Du geredet hast, was soll dann des Jungen Weise sein und sein Tun?

Then Manoah sayde, Nowe let thy saying come to passe: but howe shall we order the childe and doe vnto him?

13 Und der Engel Jehovahs sprach zu Manoach: Vor allem, was Ich dem Weibe gesagt, soll sie sich hüten.

And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto Manoah, The woman must beware of all that I said vnto her.

14 Von allem, das vom Weinstock ausgeht, soll sie nichts essen, und Wein und starkes Getränk soll sie nicht trinken und nichts Unreines essen. Alles, was Ich ihr gebot, das soll sie halten.

She may eate of nothing that commeth of the vinetree: she shall not drinke wine nor strong drinke, nor eate any vncleane thing: let her obserue all that I haue commanded her.

15 Und Manoach sprach zu dem Engel Jehovahs: Laß Dich doch von uns zurückhalten, daß wir vor Dir ein Ziegenböcklein bereiten.

Manoah then said vnto the Angell of the Lord, I pray thee, let vs reteine thee, vntill we haue made readie a kid for thee.

16 Und der Engel Jehovahs sprach zu Manoach: Wenn du mich auch zurückhieltest, so äße Ich doch nicht von deinem Brote; aber wenn du Jehovah ein Brandopfer machen willst, so opfere es dem Jehovah auf; denn Manoach wußte nicht, daß es der Engel Jehovahs war.

And the Angel of the Lord said vnto Manoah, Though thou make me abide, I will not eate of thy bread, and if thou wilt make a burnt offring, offer it vnto the Lord: for Manoah knewe not that it was an Angel of the Lord.

17 Und Manoach sprach zu dem Engel Jehovahs: Was ist Dein Name? daß wir Dich ehren, wenn Dein Wort kommen wird.

Againe Manoah said vnto the Angell of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy saying is come to passe, we may honour thee?

18 Und der Engel Jehovahs sprach zu ihm: Warum fragst du nach Meinem Namen? Und er ist: Wunderbar.

And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, which is secret?

19 Und Manoach nahm denn das Ziegenböcklein und das Speiseopfer und opferte es dem Jehovah auf auf dem Felsen. Und Er tat eine Wundertat und Manoach und sein Weib sahen es.

Then Manoah tooke a kid with a meate offering, and offered it vpon a stone vnto the Lord: and the Angell did wonderously, whiles Manoah and his wife looked on.

20 Und es geschah, als die Flammen vom Altar zum Himmel aufstieg, da stieg der Engel Jehovahs in der Flamme des Altars auf, und Manoach und sein Weib sahen es und fielen auf ihr Gesicht zur Erde.

For when the flame came vp toward heauen from the altar, the Angel of the Lord ascended vp in the flame of the altar, and Manoah and his wife behelde it, and fell on their faces vnto the grounde.

21 Und der Engel Jehovahs erschien dem Manoach und seinem Weibe nicht wieder. Da wußte Manoach, daß es der Engel Jehovahs war.

(So the Angel of the Lord did no more appeare vnto Manoah and his wife.) Then Manoah knewe that it was an Angel of the Lord.

22 Und Manoach sprach zu seinem Weibe: Wir müssen des Todes sterben; denn wir haben Gott gesehen!

And Manoah said vnto his wife, We shall surely dye, because we haue seene God.

23 Und sein Weib sprach zu ihm: Wenn Jehovah Lust hätte, uns zu töten, so hätte Er nicht aus unserer Hand das Brandopfer und das Speiseopfer angenommen, und hätte nicht uns solches alles sehen lassen, und in dieser Zeit uns nicht solches hören lassen, wie dies.

But his wife saide vnto him, If the Lord woulde kill vs, he woulde not haue receiued a burnt offring, and a meate offring of our hands, neither would he haue shewed vs all these things, nor would now haue tolde vs any such.

24 Und das Weib gebar einen Sohn und nannte seinen Namen Simson; und der Junge ward groß, und Jehovah segnete ihn.

And the wife bare a sonne, and called his name Samson: and the childe grewe, and the Lord blessed him.

25 Und der Geist Jehovahs fing an, ihn zu treiben in Machaneh-Dan, zwischen Zorah und Eschtaol.

And the Spirite of the Lord beganne to strengthen him in the host of Dan, betweene Zorah, and Eshtaol.
