Josua 13
1 Und Joschua war alt und betagt; und Jehovah sprach zu ihm: Du bist alt und betagt, und vom Lande verbleibt noch sehr viel einzunehmen.
Joshua was old and advanced in age, and the Lord said to him: “You have grown old, and are aged, and a very wide land remains, which has not yet been divided by lot,
2 Das ist das verbleibende Land: alle Kreise der Philister und ganz Geschuri.
specifically, all of Galilee, Philistia, and all of Geshur;
3 Von Schichor, welcher vor Ägypten ist, und bis zur Grenze von Ektron gegen Norden wird es dem Kanaaniter zugerechnet; fünf Philisterfürsten sind es: der Gassiter, der Aschdoditer, der Aschkeloniter, der Gathiter, der Ekroniter und der Aviter.
from the muddy river, which irrigates Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron toward the north, the land of Canaan, which is divided among the rulers of Philistia: the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gathites, and the Ekronites;
4 Vom Süden, das ganze Land des Kanaaniters und Mearah der Zidonier bis Aphekah bis an die Grenze der Amoriter.
truly, to the south are the Hivites, all the land of Canaan, and Mearah of the Sidonians, as far as Aphek and the borders of the Amorite
5 Und das Land der Gibliter und der ganze Libanon gegen Aufgang der Sonne von Baal-Gad an unten am Berge Chermon, bis man nach Chamath kommt.
and his confines; also, the region of Lebanon toward the east, from Baalgad, under mount Hermon, until you enter into Hamath;
6 Alle, die auf dem Gebirge wohnen vom Libanon bis Misrephoth Maim, alle Zidonier werde Ich austreiben vor den Söhnen Israels. Nur verlose es Israel zum Erbe, wie Ich dir geboten habe.
all who live in the mountains from Lebanon, as far as the waters of Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians. I am the One who will wipe them out, before the face of the sons of Israel. Therefore, let their land become a part of the inheritance of Israel, just as I have instructed you.
7 Und nun teile dies Land zum Erbe den neun Stämmen und dem halben Stamm Menascheh.
And now, divide the land as a possession to the nine tribes, and to the one half tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Mit ihm hatte der Rubeniter und der Gaditer ihr Erbe genommen, das ihnen Mose gab jenseits des Jordans gegen Aufgang, wie Mose, der Knecht Gottes, ihnen gegeben hatte.
With them, Reuben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the eastern side:
9 Von Aroer an, das am Ufer des Baches Arnon ist, und die Stadt in der Mitte des Baches, und die ganze Ebene Medebah bis Dibon.
from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon and in the midst of the valley, and all the plains of Medeba, as far as Dibon;
10 Und alle Städte Sichons des Amoriter Königs, der in Cheschbon regierte, bis zur Grenze der Söhne Ammons.
and all the cities of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, even to the borders of the sons of Ammon;
11 Und Gilead und die Grenze der Geschuriter und Maachathiter und der ganze Berg Chermon und ganz Baschan bis Salchah.
and Gilead, as well as the borders of Geshur and Maacati, and all of mount Hermon, and all of Bashan, as far as Salecah;
12 Das ganze Königreich Ogs in Baschan, welcher in Aschtaroth und Edrei regierte. Er verblieb von dem Überreste der Riesen. Und Mose schlug sie und trieb sie aus.
the entire kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and Edrei, (he was among the last of the Rephaim). And Moses struck and destroyed them.
13 Und die Geschuriter und die Maachathiter trieben die Söhne Israels nicht aus; und Geschur und Maachath wohnen bis auf diesen Tag inmitten Israels.
And the sons of Israel were not willing to destroy Geshur and Maacati, and so they have lived in the midst of Israel, even to the present day.
14 Nur dem Stamme Levi gab Er kein Erbe, die Feueropfer Jehovahs, des Gottes Israels, sind sein Erbe, wie Er zu ihm geredet hatte.
But to the tribe of Levi, he did not give a possession. Instead, the sacrifices and victims of the Lord, the God of Israel, these are his inheritance, just as he spoke to him.
15 Und Mose gab dem Stamme der Söhne Ruben nach ihren Familien;
Therefore, Moses gave a possession to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to their families.
16 Und ihre Grenze war von Aroer, das am Ufer des Baches Arnon ist, und die Stadt, die in der Mitte des Baches ist, und die ganze Ebene bei Medebah.
And their border was from Aroer, which is situated on the bank of the torrent Arnon, and in the midst of the valley of the same torrent, with all the flatlands that lead to Medeba;
17 Cheschbon und alle seine Städte, die in der Ebene sind, Dibon und Bamoth-Baal und Beth-Baal- Meon.
and Heshbon, and all their villages, which are in the plains; also Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and the town of Baalmeon,
18 Und Jahzah und Kedemoth und Mephaath;
and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Und Kirjathajim und Sibmah und ZerethHaschachar auf dem Berge des Talgrundes;
and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the mountain of the steep valley;
20 Und Beth-Peor und die Abhänge des Pisgah, und Beth Hajeschimoth;
Bethpeor, and the descending slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
21 Und alle Städte der Ebene und das ganze Königreich Sichons, des Amoriterkönigs, der in Cheschbon regierte, den Mose schlug, und die Fürsten Midians Evi und Rekem und Zur und Chur und Reba, die Gesalbten Sichons, die im Lande wohnten;
and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses struck down with the leaders of Midian: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the commanders of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.
22 Und Bileam, den Sohn Beors, den Wahrsager, erwürgten die Söhne Israels mit dem Schwert, samt den Erschlagenen;
And the sons of Israel killed Balaam, the son of Beor, the seer, with the sword, along with the others who were slain.
23 Und es war die Grenze der Söhne Rubens der Jordan und die Grenze. Dies ist das Erbe der Söhne Rubens nach ihren Familien, die Städte und ihre Dörfer.
And the river Jordan was made the border of the sons of Reuben; this is the possession of the Reubenites, by their families, in cities and villages.
24 Und Mose gab dem Stamme Gad, den Söhnen Gads, nach ihren Familien:
And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and his sons, by their families, a possession, of which this is the division:
25 Und ihre Grenze war Jaeser und alle Städte Gileads und die Hälfte des Landes der Söhne Ammons bis Aroer, welches vor Rabbah ist;
the border of Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and one half part of the land of the sons of Ammon, as far as Aroer, which is opposite Rabbah;
26 Und von Cheschbon bis Ramath-Mizpeh und Betonim, und von Machanajim bis an die Grenze von Debir.
and from Heshbon as far as Ramath, Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim as far as the borders of Debir;
27 Und im Talgrunde Beth-Haram und Beth-Nimrah und Sukkoth und Zaphon, das übrige vom Königreiche des Sichon, des Königs von Cheschbon, war der Jordan die Grenze bis an das Ende des Meeres Kinneroth über dem Jordan nach dem Aufgang.
also, in the valley Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the remaining part of the kingdom of Sihon, the king of Heshbon; the limit of this also is the Jordan, as far as the furthest part of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan on the eastern side.
28 Dies ist das Erbe der Söhne Gads nach ihren Familien, die Städte und ihre Dörfer.
This is the possession of the sons of Gad, by their families, in their cities and villages.
29 Und Mose gab dem halben Stamme Menascheh, und der halbe Stamm der Söhne Menascheh sollte nach ihren Familien haben.
He also gave, to the one half tribe of Manasseh and to his sons, a possession according to their families,
30 Als Grenze von Machanajim an ganz Baschan, das ganze Königreich Ogs, des Königs von Baschan, und alle Flecken Jairs, die in Baschan waren, sechzig Städte;
the beginning of which is this: from Mahanaim, all of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Og, the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty towns;
31 Und das halbe Gilead und Aschtaroth und Edrei, die Städte in dem Königreiche Ogs in Baschan, den Söhnen Machirs, des Sohnes von Menascheh, der Hälfte der Söhne Machirs, nach ihren Familien.
and one half part of Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, to the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, to one half part of the sons of Machir, according to their families.
32 Dies ist es, was Mose in dem Flachlande Moabs jenseits des Jordans gegen Aufgang von Jericho als Erbe verteilte.
Moses divided this possession, in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho on the eastern side.
33 Und dem Stamm Levi gab Mose kein Erbe. Jehovah, der Gott Israels, ist ihr Erbe, wie Er zu ihnen geredet hat.
But to the tribe of Levi he did not give a possession. For the Lord, the God of Israel, is himself their possession, just as he spoke to him.
