Jeremia 43

1 Und es geschah, als Jirmejahu vollendet hatte zu reden zu allem Volk alle Worte Jehovahs, ihres Gottes, die Jehovah, ihr Gott, an sie durch ihn gesandt hatte, alle diese Worte,

Nowe when Ieremiah had made an ende of speaking vnto ye whole people all the wordes of the Lord their God, for the which the Lord their God had sent him to them, euen all these wordes,

2 Da sprach Asarjah, Hoschajahs Sohn, und Jochanan, Kareachs Sohn, und alle vermessenen Männer, und sprachen zu Jirmejahu: Lüge redest du. Jehovah, unser Gott, hat dich nicht gesandt zu sprechen: Kommt nicht nach Ägypten, als Fremdlinge dort zu weilen;

Then spake Azariah the sonne of Hoshaiah, and Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the proude men, saying vnto Ieremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Goe not into Egypt to dwell there,

3 Denn Baruch, der Sohn Nerijahs, hat dich angetrieben wider uns, damit er uns in der Chaldäer Hand gebe, daß sie uns töten und uns nach Babel wegführen.

But Baruch ye sonne of Neriah prouoketh thee against vs, for to deliuer vs into the hand of the Caldeans, that they might slay vs, and cary vs away captiues into Babel.

4 Und Jochanan, Kareachs Sohn, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte und das ganze Volk hörten nicht auf Jehovahs Stimme, daß sie im Lande Jehudah wohnen sollten.

So Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, and all the people obeied not the voyce of the Lord, to dwell in the lande of Iudah.

5 Und Jochanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte nahmen allen Überrest von Jehudah, die, so von allen Völkerschaften, dahin sie verstoßen worden, zurückgekommen waren, um im Lande Jehudah zu weilen,

But Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste tooke all the remnant of Iudah, that were returned from al nations, whither they had bene driuen, to dwel in ye land of Iudah:

6 Die Männer und die Weiber und die Kindlein und die Töchter des Königs und jede Seele, die Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann der Leibwachen bei Gedaljahu, dem Sohne Achikams, des Sohnes von Schaphan, und bei Jirmejahu, dem Propheten, und bei Baruch, Nerijahs Sohn, gelassen hatte,

Euen men and women, and children, and the Kinges daughters, and euery person, that Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had left with Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, ye sonne of Shaphan, and Ieremiah the Prophet, and Baruch the sonne of Neriah.

7 Und sie gingen ein in das Land Ägypten, weil sie nicht auf die Stimme Jehovahs hörten, und kamen bis Thachpanches.

So they came into the lande of Egypt: for they obeied not the voice of the Lord: thus came they to Tahpanhes.

8 Und es geschah das Wort Jehovahs an Jirmejahu in Thachpanches, sprechend:

Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

9 Nimm in deine Hand große Steine und lege sie hehlings in den Lehm im Ziegelofen an den Eingang in das Haus Pharos, in Thachpanches vor den Augen der jüdischen Männer,

Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the claie in the bricke kill, which is at the entrie of Pharaohs house in Tanpanhes in ye sight of the men of Iudah,

10 Und sprich zu ihnen: Also spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Siehe, Ich sende und hole Nebuchadrezzar, Babels König, meinen Knecht, und setze seinen Thron über diese Steine, die Ich hehlings hingelegt habe, und er spanne sein Gezelt aus über sie.

And say vnto them, Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will sende and bring Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and will set his throne vpon these stones that I haue hid, and he shall spread his pauilion ouer them.

11 Und er kommt und schlägt das Land Ägypten: mit dem Tode die, so des Todes sind, mit Gefangenschaft die, so für Gefangenschaft sind, mit dem Schwert, die für das Schwert sind.

And when he shall come, he shall smite the land of Egypt: such as are appoynted for death, to death, and such as are for captiuitie, to captiuitie, and such as are for the sword to the sword.

12 Und Feuer zünde Ich an in den Häusern der Götter Ägyptens, daß er sie verbrenne, und sie gefangen führe und sich umhülle mit dem Lande Ägypten, wie der Hirt sich mit seinem Kleid umhüllt und geht aus davon im Frieden.

And I wil kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burne them and carie them away captiues, and he shall aray himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepheard putteth on his garment, and shall depart from thence in peace.

13 Und soll die Bildsäulen des Sonnenhauses im Lande Ägypten zerbrechen und die Häuser der Götter Ägyptens mit Feuer verbrennen.

He shall breake also ye images of Beth-shemesh, that is in the lande of Egypt, and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burne with fire.
