Jesaja 34

1 Ihr Völkerschaften, nahet euch zu hören, und horchet, ihr Volksstämme. Die Erde höre und was sie füllt, die Welt und all ihre Spröß-linge.

Come neere, ye nations and heare, and hearken, ye people: let the earth heare and all that is therein, the world and al that proceedeth thereof.

2 Denn über alle Völkerschaften ist entrüstet Jehovah und ergrimmt wider all ihr Heer, verbannt hat Er sie, zum Schlachten sie gegeben.

For the indignation of the Lord is vpon all nations, and his wrath vpon all their armies: hee hath destroyed them and deliuered them to the slaughter.

3 Und hingeworfen werden ihre Erschlagenen, und von ihren Leichen steigt ihr Gestank auf, und Berge zerfließen von ihrem Blut.

And their slaine shalbe cast out, and their stincke shall come vp out of their bodies, and the mountaines shalbe melted with their blood.

4 Und das ganze Himmelsheer schwindet hin, und die Himmel rollen sich zusammen wie ein Buch, und all ihr Heer fällt ab, gleich wie das Blatt vom Weinstock abfällt, und das, so vom Feigenbaum abfällt.

And all the hoste of heauen shalbe dissolued, and the heauens shall be folden like a booke: and all their hostes shall fall as the leafe falleth from the vine, and as it falleth from the figtree.

5 Denn es schwelgt Mein Schwert im Himmel; siehe, auf Edom fährt es herab und auf das Volk Meines Bannes zum Gericht.

For my sword shalbe drunken in the heauen: beholde, it shall come downe vpon Edom, euen vpon the people of my curse to iudgement.

6 Das Schwert Jehovahs ist voll Blut, fett gemacht von dem Fett, vom Blut der Lämmer und der Böcke, vom Fett der Nieren der Widder; denn ein Opfer hat Jehovah zu Bozrah, und ein großes Schlachten in dem Lande Edom.

The sword of the Lord is filled with blood: it is made fat with the fat and with the blood of the lambes and the goates, with the fat of the kidneis of the rams: for the Lord hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

7 Und niederstürzen werden die Einhörner mit ihnen, und die Farren samt den Gewaltigen, und schwelgen wird ihr Land im Blut und ihr Staub vom Fett fett gemacht.

And the vnicorne shall come downe with them and the heiffers with the bulles, and their lande shalbe drunken with blood, and their dust made fat with fatnesse.

8 Denn für Jehovah ist es ein Tag der Rache, das Jahr der Vergeltung, daß Er für Zion hadert.

For it is the day of the Lordes vengeance, and the yeere of recompence for the iudgement of Zion.

9 Und seine Bäche verwandeln sich in Pech, und Schwefel wird ihr Staub und zu brennendem Pech ihr Land.

And the riuers thereof shall be turned into pitche, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shalbe burning pitch.

10 Bei Nacht und bei Tag erlischt es nicht, ewiglich steigt Rauch davon auf, von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht ist es verödet, nimmermehr und nimmermehr geht man da hindurch.

It shall not be quenched night nor day: the smoke thereof shall goe vp euermore: it shall be desolate from generation to generation: none shall passe through it for euer.

11 Und Pelikan und Entenadler besitzen es erblich, Eulen und Raben wohnen darin. Die Meßschnur der Verwüstung spannt Er aus über sie, die Senksteine der Verödung.

But the pelicane and the hedgehog shall possesse it, and the great owle, and the rauen shall dwel in it, and he shall stretch out vpon it the line of vanitie, and the stones of emptinesse.

12 Und seine Edelleute, keine sind da, daß sie das Königtum ausriefen; und alle ihre Obersten sind zu Ende.

The nobles thereof shall call to the kingdome, and there shalbe none, and all the princes thereof shalbe as nothing.

13 Und Dornen steigen auf in ihren Palästen, und Disteln und Dornsträucher in ihren Festungen. Ein Wohnort wird es der Drachen, ein Gehöft für Käuzlein.

And it shall bring foorth thornes in the palaces thereof, nettles and thistles in the strong holdes thereof, and it shall be an habitation for dragons, and a court for ostriches.

14 Dort treffen sich die Zijim und die Ijim, der Waldteufel begegnet dem Genossen, auch rastet dort die Nachteule und findet für sich eine Ruhestätte.

There shall meete also Ziim and Iim, and the Satyre shall cry to his fellow, and the shricheowle shall rest there, and shall finde for her selfe a quiet dwelling.

15 Dort nistet auch die Pfeilschlange, und legt, heckt aus und häuft an unter ihrem Schatten ihre Jungen; ja, dort kommen zusammen die Weihen, einer zum anderen.

There shall the owle make her nest, and laye, and hatche, and gather them vnder her shadowe: there shall the vultures also bee gathered, euery one with her make.

16 Suchet nach im Buch Jehovahs und leset. Nicht eines wird davon fehlen. Das eine wird das andere nicht vermissen; denn mit dem Munde hat Er es geboten und Sein Geist brachte sie zusammen.

Seeke in the booke of the Lord, and reade: none of these shall fayle, none shall want her make: for his mouth hath commanded, and his very Spirit hath gathered them.

17 Und Er ließ ihnen fallen das Los und Seine Hand teilt es ihnen nach der Meßschnur zu. Sie nehmen es in ewigen Besitz; auf Geschlecht und Geschlecht wohnen sie darinnen.

And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath deuided it vnto them by line: they shall possesse it for euer: from generation to generation shall they dwell in it.
