Jesaja 14
1 Denn Jehovah wird Sich Jakobs erbarmen und Israel wiederum erwählen und sie auf ihren Boden setzen, und ihnen hängt an der Fremdling und hält sich zum Hause Jakobs.
And the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and they shall rest on their land: and the stranger shall be added to them, yea, shall be added to the house of Jacob.
2 Und die Völker werden sie nehmen und hineinbringen an ihren Ort. Und das Haus Israel wird sie ererben auf dem Boden Jehovahs zu Knechten und zu Dienstmägden, und wird gefangen führen, die so es hatten gefangengeführt, und sich unterwerfen seine Treiber.
And the Gentiles shall take them, and bring them into their place: and they shall inherit them, and they shall be multiplied upon the land for servants and handmaidens: and they that took them captives shall become captives [to them]; and they that had lordship over them shall be under [their] rule.
3 Und es wird geschehen, daß am Tag, da dir Jehovah Ruhe gibt von deinen Schmerzen und von deiner Beunruhigung und von der harten Knechtschaft, in der du dienen mußtest,
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and vexation, [and from] thy hard servitude wherein thou didst serve them.
4 Da wirst du diesen Spruch erheben über den König Babels und sprechen: Wie hört doch der Treiber auf, wie hört die Goldsucht auf!
And thou shalt take up this lamentation against the king of Babylon, How has the extortioner ceased, and the taskmaster ceased!
5 Zerbrochen hat Jehovah den Stab der Ungerechten, die Rute der Herrschenden,
The Lord has broken the yoke of sinners, the yoke of princes.
6 Er, Der die Völker schlug in Wut, mit Schlägen ohne Ablenken, Der die Völkerschaften beherrscht im Zorn, Der verfolgt ohne Zurückhaltung.
Having smitten a nation in wrath, with an incurable plague, smiting a nation with a wrathful plague, which spared [them] not, he rested in quiet.
7 Es ruhet und rastet die ganze Erde, sie sind in Jubel ausgebrochen.
All the earth cries aloud with joy:
8 Auch die Tannen sind fröhlich ob dir, die Zedern Libanons: Seitdem du liegst, kommt niemand herauf, um uns umzuhauen.
the trees also of Libanus rejoice against thee, and the cedar of Libanus, [saying], From the time that thou hast been laid low, no one has come up to cut us down.
9 Die Hölle drunten zitterte ob dir, entgegen dir zu kommen, sie erregte dir die Rephaim, alle die Rüstigen der Erde; sie ließ aufstehen von ihren Thronen alle Könige der Völkerschaften. (Sheol h7585)
Hell from beneath is provoked to meet thee: all the great ones that have ruled over the earth have risen up together against thee, they that have raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
10 Sie alle antworten und sprechen zu dir: Auch du bist wie wir hinfällig geworden, bist uns gleich geworden.
All shall answer and say to thee, Thou also hast been taken, even as we; and thou art numbered amongst us.
11 Zur Hölle ist hinabgefahren dein Stolz und deiner Psalter Toben; Maden sind deine Streue unter dir und deine Decke Würmer. (Sheol h7585)
Thy glory has come down to Hades, and thy great mirth: under thee they shall spread corruption, and the worm shall be thy covering. (Sheol h7585)
12 Wie bist vom Himmel du gefallen, du Leuchtender, Sohn der Morgenröte? Zur Erde niedergehauen, geschwächt unter den Völkerschaften!
How has Lucifer, that rose in the morning, fallen from heaven! He that sent [orders] to all the nations is crushed to the earth.
13 Und du sprachst in deinem Herzen: Zu den Himmeln steige ich auf, über die Sterne Gottes erhöhe ich meinen Thron, und will sitzen auf dem Berg der Versammlung auf den Hinterseiten der Mitternacht.
But thou saidst in thine heart, I will go up to heaven, I will set my throne above the stars of heaven: I will sit on a lofty mount, on the lofty mountains toward the north:
14 Ich will hinaufsteigen auf der Wolken Höhen, will mich dem Höchsten gleichmachen.
I will go up above the clouds: I will be like the Most High.
But now thou shalt go down to hell, even to the foundations of the earth. (Sheol h7585)
16 Die dich sehen, schauen dich an, betrachten dich: Ist das der Mann, der die Erde zittern, die Königreiche erbeben machte?
They that see thee shall wonder at thee, and say, This is the man that troubled the earth, that made kings to shake;
17 Er machte zur Wüste die Welt, riß nieder ihre Städte, löste seine Gebundenen nicht, nach Hause.
that made the whole world desolate, and destroyed its cities; he loosed not those who were in captivity.
18 Alle Könige der Völkerschaften liegen allzumal in Herrlichkeit, jeder Mann in seinem Haus!
All the kings of the nations lie in honour, [every] man in his house.
19 Du aber wirst aus deinem Grab geworfen, wie ein verabscheuter Schößling, das Kleid Erwürgter, vom Schwert Durchbohrter, die an die Steine der Grube hinabfahren, wie eine zertretene Leiche.
But thou shalt be cast forth on the mountains, as a loathed carcase, with many dead who have been pierced with swords, going down to the grave.
20 Nicht wirst du mit ihnen vereint in dem Grabe; denn du hast verdorben dein Land und hast dein Volk erwürgt, nicht wird in Ewigkeit genannt der Bösen Samen.
As a garment defiled with blood shall not be pure, so neither shalt thou be pure; because thou hast destroyed my land, and hast slain my people: thou shalt not endure for ever, —[thou] an evil seed.
21 Bereitet für ein Schlachten seine Söhne um ihrer Väter Missetat willen, daß sie nicht aufstehen und das Land besitzen, und der Welt Angesicht mit Städten füllen.
Prepare thy children to be slain for the sins of their father; that they arise not, and inherit the earth, nor fill the earth with wars.
22 Und Ich will Mich aufmachen wider sie, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen, und ausrotten zu Babel Namen und Überrest und Sproß und Schoß, spricht Jehovah.
And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will destroy their name, and remnant, and seed: thus saith the Lord.
23 Und will es machen zum Erbbesitze der Entenadler und zu Teichen des Wassers; und sie fortkehren mit dem Besen der Vernichtung, spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen.
And I will make the region of Babylon desert, so that hedgehogs shall dwell [there], and it shall come to nothing: and I will make it a pit of clay for destruction.
24 Jehovah der Heerscharen schwor es und sprach: Wie Ich es gemeint, so soll es werden, und wie Ich es beratschlagte, soll es erstehen!
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, As I have said, so it shall be: and as I have purposed, so [the matter] shall remain:
25 Daß Aschur zerbreche in Meinem Land und Ich ihn zertrete auf Meinen Bergen, auf daß sein Joch von ihnen fortweiche und seine Last fortweiche von ihrer Schulter.
[even] to destroy the Assyrians upon my land, and upon my mountains: and they shall be for trampling; and their yoke shall be taken away from them, and their glory shall be taken away from their shoulders.
26 Dies ist der Ratschluß, beschlossen über alles Land, und das ist die Hand, über alle Völkerschaften ausgestreckt.
This is the purpose which the Lord has purposed upon the whole earth: and this the hand that is uplifted against all the nations.
27 Denn Jehovah der Heerscharen hat es beschlossen, und wer will es zunichte machen? Und Seine Hand ist ausgereckt. Und wer will sie zurückwenden?
For what the Holy God has purposed, who shall frustrate? and who shall turn back his uplifted hand?
28 Im Jahr, da König Achas starb, war dies die Weissagung:
In the year in which king Achaz died this word came.
29 Sei nicht fröhlich, du ganz Philistäa, daß die Rute, die dich schlug, zerbrochen ist; denn aus der Wurzel der Schlange geht ein Basilisk hervor, und seine Frucht ist eine fliegende Feuerschlange.
Rejoice not, all ye Philistines, because the yoke of him that smote you is broken: for out of the seed of the serpent shall come forth the young asps, and their young shall come forth flying serpents,
30 Und die Erstgeborenen der Armen weiden und die Dürftigen lagern in Sicherheit, aber durch Hunger töte Ich deine Wurzel und deinen Überrest erwürget er.
And the poor shall be fed by him, and poor men shall rest in peace: but he shall destroy thy seed with hunger, and shall destroy thy remnant.
31 Heule, Tor! Schreie, Stadt! Zerfließe, du ganz Philistäa, weil von Mitternacht ein Rauch kommt, und kein Einsamer in seinen Versammlungen ist.
Howl, ye gates of cities; let the cities be troubled and cry, [even] all the Philistines: for smoke is coming from the north, and there is no [possibility] of living.
32 Und was wird man den Boten der Völkerschaft antworten? Daß Jehovah hat Zion gegründet, und auf es verlassen sich die Elenden von Seinem Volk.
And what shall the kings of the nations answer? That the Lord has founded Sion, and by him the poor of the people shall be saved.
