Hosea 14
1 Kehre zurück, Israel, zu Jehovah, deinem Gott; denn du strauchelst in deiner Missetat.
O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie.
2 Nehmt zu euch die Worte und kehrt zurück zu Jehovah; sprecht zu Ihm: Verzeihe alle Missetat, und nimm es gut, und laß uns entrichten die Farren unserer Lippen!
Take vnto you words, and turne to the Lord, and say vnto him, Take away all iniquitie, and receiue vs graciously: so wil we render the calues of our lippes.
3 Aschur soll uns nicht retten, auf dem Roß wollen wir nicht reiten, und wollen nicht mehr zu unserer Hände Machwerk sagen: Unser Gott! Weil bei dir die Waise Erbarmen findet.
Asshur shall not saue vs, neither wil we ride vpon horses, neither will we say any more to the worke of our handes, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherlesse findeth mercie.
4 Ich heile ihren Abfall, Ich liebe sie freiwillig; denn Mein Zorn ist von ihm zurückgewendet.
I wil heale their rebellion: I wil loue them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 Wie der Tau will Ich für Israel sein, erblühen soll es gleich der Lilie, und seine Wurzel schlagen, wie der Libanon.
I will be as the dewe vnto Israel: he shall grow as the lilie and fasten his rootes, as the trees of Lebanon.
6 Seine Zweige sollen dahingehen, und seine Majestät soll sein wie die des Ölbaums; und sein Geruch wie des Libanon.
His branches shall spread, and his beautie shalbe as the oliue tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
7 Zurückkehren sollen sie, die in Seinem Schatten saßen, und beleben das Korn, und erblühen, wie der Weinstock; sein Andenken soll sein wie des Weins vom Libanon.
They that dwel vnder his shadow, shall returne: they shall reuiue as the corne, and florish as the vine: the sent thereof shalbe as the wine of Lebanon.
8 Ephraim, was sollen Mir fürder die Götzenbilder? Ich will antworten und ihm singen. Ich will sein wie die grünende Tanne. Aus Mir soll deine Frucht gefunden werden.
Ephraim shall say, What haue I to doe any more with idoles? I haue heard him, and looked vpon him: I am like a greene firre tree: vpon me is thy fruite founde.
9 Wer ist weise, daß er dies einsehe, einsichtsvoll, daß er es wisse? Denn gerade sind die Wege Jehovahs, und die Gerechten wandeln darauf, die Übertreter aber kommen darauf zu Fall.
Who is wise, and he shall vnderstande these things? and prudent, and he shall knowe them? for the wayes of the Lord are righteous, and the iust shall walke in them: but the wicked shall fall therein.
