1 Mose 19
1 Und die zwei Engel kamen am Abend nach Sodom, und Lot saß im Tore Sodoms. Und Lot sah sie und er stand auf, ihnen entgegen, und verbeugte sich mit dem Antlitz zur Erde.
And tweyne aungels camen to Sodom in the euentide, while Loth sat in the yatis of the citee. And whanne he hadde seyn hem, he roos, and yede ayens hem, and worschipide lowe to erthe,
2 Und er sprach: Siehe doch, meine Herren, lenket doch in das Haus eures Knechtes ab und übernachtet und waschet eure Füße, und stehet früh auf und gehet eures Weges. Sie sagten aber: Nein, denn wir werden auf der Straße übernachten.
and seide, My lordis, Y biseche, bowe ye in to the hous of youre child, and dwelle ye there; waische ye youre feet, and in the morewtid ye schulen go in to youre weie. Whiche seiden, Nay, but we schulen dwelle in the street.
3 Und er drang sehr in sie; und sie lenkten zu ihm ab und kamen in sein Haus. Und er machte ihnen ein Gastmahl und buk Ungesäuertes, und sie aßen.
He constreynede hem greetli, that thei schulden turne to hym. And whanne thei weren entrid in to his hous, he made a feeste, he bakide therf breed, and thei eten.
4 Ehe sie sich legten, da umgaben die Männer der Stadt, die Männer von Sodom, das Haus, vom Jungen bis zum Alten, das ganze Volk vom Ende her.
Forsothe bifore that thei yeden to sleepe, men of the citee compassiden his hows, fro a child `til to an eld man, al the puple togidre;
5 Und sie riefen Lot, und sagten zu ihm: Wo sind die Männer, die diese Nacht zu dir gekommen sind. Bringe sie zu uns heraus, daß wir sie erkennen.
and thei clepiden Loth, and seiden to him, Where ben the men that entriden to thee to nyyt? brynge hem out hidur, that we `knowe hem.
6 Lot aber ging hinaus zu ihnen an den Eingang, und schloß die Tür hinter sich zu.
And Loth yede out to hem `bihynde the bak, and closide the dore,
7 Und sprach: Nicht doch, meine Brüder, tut nicht Böses!
and seide, Y biseche, nyle ye, my britheren, nyle ye do this yuel.
8 Sehet doch, ich habe zwei Töchter, die keinen Mann erkannt haben, laßt sie mich doch zu euch herausbringen, und tut mit ihnen, was gut ist in euren Augen, nur diesen Männern tut nichts; denn dafür sind sie unter den Schatten meines Daches gekommen.
Y haue twey douytris, that knewen not yit man; Y schal lede out hem to you, and mys vse ye hem as it plesith you, so that ye doon noon yuel to these men, for thei entriden vndur the schadewe of my roof.
9 Und sie sprachen: Tritt hier herzu. Und sie sagten: Ist einer gekommen, sich hier aufzuhalten, und will als Rier richten? Nun wollen wir dir Böseres tun, denn jenen; und sie drangen sehr ein auf den Mann, auf Lot, und sie traten herzu, um die Tür aufzubrechen.
And thei seiden, Go thou fro hennus. And eft thei seiden, Thou entridist as a comelyng; wher that thou deme? therfor we schulen turment thee more than these. And thei diden violentli to Loth ful greetli. Thanne it was nyy that thei wolden breke the doris; and lo!
10 Und die Männer streckten ihre Hand hinaus und brachten Lot zu sich herein ins Haus und verschlossen die Tür.
the men puttiden hoond, and ledden in Loth to hem, and thei closiden the dore.
11 Die Männer aber am Eingang zum Hause schlugen sie mit Blindheit vom Kleinen bis zum Großen und sie müheten sich ab, den Eingang zu finden.
And thei smyten with blyndenesse hem that weren withoutforth, fro the leest til to the moost; so that thei myyten not fynde the dore.
12 Und die Männer sprachen zu Lot: Wen hast du noch hier? Eidam und deine Söhne und deine Töchter und jeden, den du in der Stadt hast, bringe heraus aus diesem Orte;
Forsothe thei seiden to Loth, Hast thou here ony man of thine, hosebonde of thi douyter, ethir sones, ethir douytris; lede thou out of this citee alle men that ben thine,
13 Denn wir verderben diesen Ort, weil das Geschrei über sie groß ist vor Jehovah, und Jehovah hat uns gesandt, ihn zu verderben.
for we schulen do a wey this place, for the cry of hem encreesside bifor the Lord, which sente vs that we leese hem.
14 Und Lot ging hinaus und redete zu seinen Eidamen, die seine Töchter nehmen wollten, und sprach: Machet euch auf, gehet aus von diesem Ort, denn Jehovah verdirbt die Stadt. Er war aber vor den Augen seiner Eidame, wie ein Scherzender.
And so Loth yede out, and spak to the hosebondys of his douytris, that schulden take hise douytris, and seide, Rise ye, and go ye out of this place; for the Lord schal do awey this citee. And he was seyn to hem to speke as pleiynge.
15 Und als die Morgenröte aufging, trieben die Engel Lot an, und sprachen: Mache dich auf, nimm dein Weib und deine zwei Töchter, die sich finden, daß du nicht in der Missetat der Stadt weggerafft werdest.
And whanne the morewtid was, the aungels constreyneden hym, and seiden, Rise thou, and take thi wijf, and thi twey douytris whiche thou hast, lest also thou perische to gidere in the synne of the citee.
16 Und er zauderte; die Männer aber faßten ihn an seiner Hand und sein Weib bei der Hand und seine zwei Töchter bei der Hand, weil Jehovah ihn bemitleidete, und brachten ihn hinaus und ließen ihn draußen vor der Stadt.
While he dissymelide, thei token his hond, and the hond of his wijf, and of his twey doutris; for the Lord sparide hym.
17 Und es geschah, als sie dieselben hinausgebracht hatten, sprach Er: Entrinne ob deiner Seele, blicke nicht hinter dich und bleib nicht stehen in dem ganzen Umkreis, entrinne auf den Berg, auf daß du nicht weggerafft werdest.
And thei ledden out hym, and settiden with out the citee. There thei spaken to him, and seiden, Saue thou thi lijf; nyle thou biholde bihynde thi bac, nether stond thou in al the cuntre aboute, but make thee saaf in the hil; lest also thou perische togidere.
18 Lot aber sprach zu ihnen: Nicht doch, meine Herren!
And Loth seide to hem, My lord, Y biseche,
19 Siehe doch, Dein Knecht hat Gnade gefunden in Deinen Augen, und Du hast groß gemacht Deine Barmherzigkeit, die Du an mir getan, daß Du meine Seele am Leben erhalten; aber ich vermag nicht auf den Berg zu entrinnen, daß mir nicht das Böse anklebe, daß ich stürbe.
for thi seruaunt hath founde grace bifore thee, and thou hast magnyfied thi grace and mercy, which thou hast do with me, that thou schuldist saue my lijf; Y may not be saued in the hil, lest perauenture yuel take me, and Y die;
20 Siehe doch diese Stadt ist nahe, um dahin zu fliehen. Und sie ist klein, laß mich dahin entrinnen; ist sie nicht klein? und meine Seele wird leben.
a litil citee is here bisidis, to which Y may fle, and Y schal be saued ther ynne; where it is not a litil citee? and my soule schal lyue ther ynne.
21 Und Er sprach zu ihm: Siehe auch in diesem Worte erhöre Ich dich, daß Ich die Stadt nicht umkehre, von der du geredet hast.
And he seide to Loth, Lo! also in this Y haue resseyued thi preieris, that Y distrye not the citee, for which thou hast spoke;
22 Eile, entrinne dahin, weil Ich nichts zu tun vermag, bis du dahin kommst. Deshalb nannte man den Namen der Stadt Zoar.
haste thou, and be thou saued there, for Y may not do ony thing til thou entre thidur. Therfor the name of that citee was clepid Segor.
23 Die Sonne ging auf über die Erde und Lot kam gen Zoar.
The sunne roos on erthe, and Loth entride in to Segor.
24 Und Jehovah ließ regnen über Sodom und über Gomorrah Schwefel und Feuer von Jehovah aus dem Himmel.
Therfor the Lord reynede on Sodom and Gomorre brynston and fier, fro the Lord fro heuene,
25 Und Er kehrte um diese Städte und den ganzen Umkreis und alle Einwohner der Städte und das Gewächs des Bodens.
and distriede these citees, and al the cuntrey aboute; he destriede alle enhabiters of citees, and all grene thingis of erthe.
26 Aber sein Weib blickte um hinter ihm und ward zur Salzsäule.
And his wijf lokide abac, and was turned in to an ymage of salt.
27 Und Abraham machte sich früh am Morgen auf nach dem Orte, wo er vor Jehovah gestanden;
Forsothe Abraham risynge eerly, where he stood bifore with the Lord,
28 Und schaute aus über Sodom und Gomorrah und über das ganze Land des Umkreises und er sah, und siehe da, es stieg der Qualm der Erde auf, wie der Qualm eines Ofens.
bihelde Sodom and Gomorre, and al the lond of that cuntrey; and he seiy a deed sparcle stiynge fro erthe, as the smoke of a furneis.
29 Und es geschah, als Gott die Städte des Umkreises verdarb, daß Gott des Abrahams gedachte, und Lot mitten aus der Zerstörung entsandte wie er die Städte umkehrte in denen Lot gewohnt.
For whanne God distriede the citees of that cuntrey, he hadde mynde of Abraham, and delyuerede Loth fro destriynge of the citees in whiche he dwellide.
30 Lot aber ging hinauf aus Zoar und wohnte auf dem Berge und seine zwei Töchter mit ihm; denn er fürchtete sich in Zoar zu wohnen; und er wohnte in der Höhle, er und seine zwei Töchter.
And Loth stiede fro Segor, and dwellide in the hil, and hise twey douytris with him, for he dredde to dwelle in Segor; and he dwellide in a denne, he and his twey douytris with hym.
31 Und die Erstgeborene sprach zur Jüngeren: Unser Vater ist alt und kein Mann ist im Lande, der zu uns käme, nach der Weise der ganzen Erde.
And the more douytre seide to the lasse, Oure fadre is eld, and no man is left in erthe, that may entre to vs, bi the custom of al erthe;
32 So komm, laß uns unserem Vater Wein zu trinken geben und bei ihm liegen, auf daß wir von unserem Vater Samen lebendig machen.
come thou, make we him drunkun of wyn, and slepe we with him, that we moun kepe seed of oure fadir.
33 Und sie ließen ihren Vater Wein trinken in derselben Nacht, und die Erstgeborene kam und lag bei ihrem Vater, und er wußte es nicht, da sie sich niederlegte, noch da sie aufstand.
And so thei yauen to her fadir to drynke wyn in that nyyt, and the more douyter entrede, and slepte with hir fadir; and he feelide not, nethir whanne the douytir lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
34 Und es geschah am morgenden Tag, daß die Erstgeborene zur Jüngeren sprach: Siehe ich bin gestern bei meinem Vater gelegen. Lassen wir ihn auch diese Nacht Wein trinken, und gehe du hinein und liege bei ihm, daß wir von unserem Vater Samen lebendig machen.
And in the tothir dai the more douytir seide to the lasse, Lo! Y slepte yistirdai with my fadir, yyue we to hym to drynk wyn also in this nyyt; and thou schalt slepe with hym, that we saue seed of oure fadir.
35 Und sie ließen ihren Vater Wein trinken; und die Jüngere machte sich auf und lag bei ihm, und er wußte es nicht, da sie sich legte, noch da sie aufstand.
And thei yauen to her fadir also in that nyyt to drynke wyn, and the lesse douytir entride, and slepte with him; and sotheli he feelide not thanne whanne sche lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
36 Und die zwei Töchter Lots empfingen von ihrem Vater.
Therfor the twei douytris of Loth conseyuede of hir fadir.
37 Und die Erstgeborene gebar einen Sohn und nannte seinen Namen Moab. Er ist der Vater Moabs bis auf diesen Tag.
And the more douytre childide a sone, and clepide his name Moab; he is the fadir of men of Moab `til in to present dai.
38 Und die Jüngere gebar auch einen Sohn, und nannte seinen Namen Ben-Ammi. Er ist der Vater der Söhne Ammons bis auf diesen Tag.
And the lesse douyter childide a sone, and clepide his name Amon, that is, the sone of my puple; he is the fadir of men of Amon til to day.
