Hesekiel 23
1 Und das Wort des HERRN erging an mich also:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 Menschensohn, es waren zwei Weiber, Töchter einer Mutter;
Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother:
3 die trieben Hurerei in Ägypten, in ihrer Jugend hurten sie; daselbst sind ihre Brüste gedrückt und ihre jungfräulichen Busen betastet worden.
and they went a-whoring in Egypt in their youth: there their breasts fell, there they lost their virginity.
4 Die ältere hieß Ohola, und ihre Schwester hieß Oholiba. Diese wurden mein und gebaren Söhne und Töchter. Und dieses waren ihre Namen: Samaria ist Ohola, und Jerusalem ist Oholiba.
And their names were Oola the elder, and Ooliba her sister: and they were mine, and bore sons and daughters: and [as for] their names, Samaria was Oola, and Jerusalem was Ooliba.
5 Aber Ohola hurte neben mir und war heftig verliebt in ihre Buhlen, die Assyrer, die sich ihr nahten;
And Oola went a-whoring from me, and doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians that were her neighbors,
6 gekleidet in blauem Purpur, Fürsten und Herren, lauter hübsche Jünglinge, Reiter, die auf Rossen daherritten.
clothed with purple, princes and captains; [they were] young men and choice, all horseman riding on horses.
7 Also hängte sie sich mit ihrer Hurerei an sie, lauter auserlesene Assyrer, und befleckte sich mit allen ihren Götzen, gegen die sie entbrannt war.
And she bestowed her fornication upon them; all were choice sons of the Assyrians: and on whomsoever she doted herself, with them she defiled herself in all [their] devices.
8 Sie ließ auch nicht ab von ihrer Buhlerei mit den Ägyptern, weil dieselben in ihrer Jugend bei ihr gelegen und ihren jungfräulichen Busen betastet und ihre Hurerei mit ihr getrieben hatten.
And she forsook not her fornication with the Egyptians: for in her youth they committed fornication with her, and they deflowered her, and poured out their fornication upon her.
9 Darum habe ich sie den Händen ihrer Buhlen preisgegeben, den Händen der Assyrer, in die sie so heftig verliebt war.
Therefore I delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the children of the Assyrians, on whom she doted.
10 Die deckten ihre Blöße auf. Sie nahmen ihre Söhne und Töchter und erschlugen sie mit dem Schwert, und sie bekam einen schlechten Ruf unter den Weibern, und sie vollstreckten an ihr das Gericht.
They uncovered her shame: they took her sons and daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became a byword among women: and they wrought vengeance in her for the sake of the daughters.
11 Als ihre Schwester Oholiba solches sah, mißbrauchte sie ihre Liebe noch mehr als jene und übertraf ihre Schwester in der Hurerei.
And her sister Ooliba saw [it], and she indulged in her fondness more corruptly than she, and in her fornication more than the fornication of her sister.
12 Sie verliebte sich heftig in die Assyrer, in die Fürsten und Herren, die sich ihr nahten, welche köstlich gekleidet waren, Reiter, welche auf Rossen daherritten, lauter hübsche Jünglinge.
She doted upon the sons of the Assyrian, princes and captains, her neighbours, clothed with fine linen, horsemen riding on horses; [they were] all choice young men.
13 Und ich sah, daß sie sich verunreinigte, gleicherweise wie die erste der beiden.
And I saw that they were defiled, [that] the two [had] one way.
14 Und sie fuhr fort in ihrer Hurerei; und sie sah an die Wand gezeichnete Männer, Bildnisse der Chaldäer, mit roter Farbe gemalt,
And she increased her fornication, and she saw men painted on the wall, likenesses of the Chaldeans painted with a pencil,
15 die um ihre Lenden einen Gurt und auf ihren Häuptern herabhängende Kopfbinden hatten, ganz wie Ritter anzusehen, nach Art der Babylonier, deren Geburtsland Chaldäa ist;
having variegated girdles on their loins, having also richly dyed [attire] upon their heads; all had a princely appearance, the likeness of the children of the Chaldeans, of their native land.
16 da entbrannte sie nach ihnen, als sie dieselben sah, und sandte Boten zu ihnen ins Land der Chaldäer.
And she doted upon them as soon as she saw them, and sent forth messengers to them into the land of the Chaldeans.
17 Als nun die Babylonier zu ihr kamen und mit ihr der Liebe pflegten und sie verunreinigten mit ihrer Hurerei, so daß sie von ihnen befleckt ward, da wandte sich ihre Seele von ihnen ab.
And the sons of Babylon came to her, into the bed of rest, and they defiled her in her fornication, and she was defiled by them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18 Und als sie ihre Hurerei enthüllte und ihre Blöße aufdeckte, da wandte sich meine Seele von ihr ab, wie sich meine Seele von ihrer Schwester abgewandt hatte.
And she exposed her fornication, and exposed her shame: and my soul was alienated from her, even as my soul was alienated from her sister.
19 Aber sie trieb ihre Hurerei je länger je mehr; sie gedachte wieder an die Tage ihrer Jugend, in welchen sie in Ägyptenland gehurt hatte.
And thou didst multiply thy fornication, so as to call to remembrance the days of thy youth, wherein thou didst commit whoredom in Egypt,
20 Und sie entbrannte gegen ihre Buhlen, die wahres Eselsfleisch hatten und Ruten wie Hengste.
and thou didst dote upon the Chaldeans, whose flesh is as the flesh of the asses, and their members [as] the members of horses.
21 Also sehntest du dich nach der Unzucht deiner Jugend, da man in Ägypten deine Brüste betastete um deines jungfräulichen Busens willen.
And thou didst look upon the iniquity of thy youth, [the things] which thou wroughtest in Egypt in thy lodgings, where were the breasts of thy youth.
22 Darum, Oholiba, spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Siehe, ich will deine Liebhaber, von welchen sich deine Seele abgewandt hat, erwecken und sie von ringsumher über dich kommen lassen:
Therefore, Ooliba, thus saith the Lord; Behold, I [will] stir up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them upon thee round about,
23 die Söhne Babels und alle Chaldäer, Hauptleute, Fürsten, Gewaltige, samt allen Assyrern; schmucke Jünglinge, lauter Fürsten und Herren, Hauptleute und berühmte Männer, alle auf Pferden reitend.
the children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Phacuc, and Sue, and Hychue, and all the sons of the Assyrians with them; choice young men, governors and captains, all princes and renowned, riding on horses.
24 Diese werden über dich kommen, gerüstet mit Wagen und Rädern, und mit einem großen Haufen Volks; sie werden sich mit Tartschen, Schilden und Helmen rings um dich her lagern. Und ich will ihnen das Gericht übergeben, und sie werden dich nach ihren Rechten richten.
And they all shall come upon thee from the north, chariots and wheels, with a multitude of nations, shields and targets; and [the enemy] shall set a watch against thee round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall take vengeance on thee with their judgments.
25 Ich will dich meinen Eifer fühlen lassen, und sie sollen grausam mit dir umgehen; sie werden dir Nase und Ohren abschneiden, und deine Nachkommenschaft wird durch das Schwert fallen. Sie werden deine Söhne und Töchter wegführen, und dein Nachlaß soll vom Feuer verzehrt werden.
And I will bring upon thee my jealousy, and they shall deal with thee in great wrath: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and shall cast down thy remnant with the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy remnant fire shall devour.
26 Sie werden dir deine Kleider ausziehen und deine köstlichen Kleinodien wegnehmen.
And they shall strip thee of thy raiment, and take [away] thine ornaments.
27 Also will ich deiner Schandtat und deiner Hurerei von Ägyptenland her ein Ende machen, daß du deine Augen nicht mehr nach ihnen wendest und hinfort nicht mehr an Ägyptenland gedenkest.
So I will turn back thine ungodliness from thee, and thy fornication from the land of Egypt: and thou shalt not lift up thine eyes upon them, and shalt no more remember Egypt.
28 Denn also spricht Gott, der HERR: Siehe, ich will dich in die Hand derer geben, die du hassest, und in die Hand derer, von welchen deine Seele sich abgewandt hat.
Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I [will] deliver thee into the hands of those whom thou hatest, from whom thy soul is alienated.
29 Und diese sollen dich ihren Haß fühlen lassen und alles, was du erworben hast, wegnehmen und dich bloß und nackt sitzen lassen; und also wird die Schande deiner Hurerei und deine Unzucht und deine Ehebrecherei an den Tag kommen.
And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take all [the fruits] of thy labours and thy toils, and thou shalt be naked and bare: and the shame of thy fornication shall be exposed: and thy ungodliness and thy fornication
30 Solches wird dir begegnen um deiner Hurerei willen, welche du mit den Heiden getrieben, und an deren Götzen du dich verunreinigt hast.
brought this upon thee, in that thou wentest a-whoring after the nations, and didst defile thyself with their devices.
31 Auf dem Wege deiner Schwester bist du einhergegangen; darum will ich dir auch ihren Becher in die Hand geben.
Thou didst walk in the way of thy sister; and I will put her cup into thine hands.
32 So spricht Gott, der HERR: Den Becher deiner Schwester sollst du trinken, welcher tief und weit ist, und du sollst zu Hohn und Spott werden; denn er faßt viel!
Thus saith the Lord; Drink thy sister's cup, deep and large, and full, to cause complete drunkenness.
33 Du wirst voll Trunkenheit und Jammer werden; denn der Becher deiner Schwester Samaria ist ein Becher des Schauders und Entsetzens!
And thou shalt be thoroughly weakened; and the cup of destruction, the cup of thy sister Samaria,
34 Und denselben mußt du austrinken und ausschlürfen und auch noch seine Scherben ablecken und deine Brüste zerreißen. Denn ich habe es gesagt, spricht Gott, der HERR.
drink thou it, and I will take away her feasts and her new moons: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord.
35 Darum spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Weil du meiner vergessen und mich hinter deinen Rücken geworfen hast, so trage auch du deine Unzucht und deine Hurerei!
Therefore thus saith the Lord; Because thou has forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore receive thou [the reward] of thine ungodliness and thy fornication.
36 Ferner sprach der HERR zu mir: Menschensohn, willst du nicht Ohola und Oholiba strafen und ihnen ihre Greuel vorhalten,
And the Lord said to me, Son of man, wilt thou not judge Oola and Ooliba? and declare to them their iniquities?
37 daß sie Ehebruch getrieben haben und daß Blut an ihren Händen ist; daß sie mit ihren Götzen Ehebruch getrieben haben; daß sie ihre eigenen Kinder, welche sie mir geboren haben, durchs Feuer gehen ließen, so daß sie verzehrt wurden?
For they have committed adultery, and blood was in their hands, they committed adultery with their devices, and they passed through the fire to them their children which they bore to me.
38 Überdies haben sie mir auch das angetan: Sie haben an demselben Tage mein Heiligtum verunreinigt und meine Sabbate entheiligt.
So long too as they did these things to me, they defiled my sanctuary, and profaned my sabbaths.
39 Denn wenn sie ihre Kinder ihren Götzen geschlachtet hatten, so kamen sie noch an demselbigen Tage in mein Heiligtum, es zu entheiligen. Siehe, solches haben sie inmitten meines Hauses getan.
And when they sacrificed their children to their idols, they also went into my sanctuary to profane it: and whereas they did thus in the midst of my house;
40 Ja, sie sandten sogar nach Männern, die von ferne kamen, zu denen ein Bote gesandt ward; und siehe, sie kamen. Für sie hast du dich gebadet, hast du deine Augen geschminkt und dich aufs schönste aufgeputzt;
and whereas they did thus to the men that came from afar, to whom they sent messengers, and as soon as they came, immediately thou didst wash thyself, and didst paint thine eyes and adorn thyself with ornaments,
41 und du saßest auf einem prächtigen Bett, vor dem ein Tisch gerüstet war, auf welchen du mein Räucherwerk und mein Öl gesetzt hattest.
and satest on a prepared bed, and before it [there was] a table set out, and [as for] mine incense and mine oil, they rejoiced in them,
42 Und mit lautem Gesang ließen sie sich darauf nieder. Und zu den Leuten vom gemeinen Volk wurden Sabäer aus der Wüste herzugebracht, diese legten ihnen Spangen an die Arme und setzten ihnen eine Ehrenkrone aufs Haupt.
and they raised a sound of music, and [that] with men coming from the wilderness out of a multitude of men, and they put bracelets on their hands, and a crown of glory on their heads;
43 Da sprach ich: Wollen denn auch diese mit der alten Hure ihr Hurenwerk treiben?
Therefore I said, Do they not commit adultery with these? and has she also gone a-whoring [after] the manner of a harlot?
44 Und sie gingen zu ihr, wie man zu einer Hure zu gehen pflegt; also gingen sie zu Ohola und zu Oholiba, den lasterhaften Weibern.
And they went in to her, as [men] go in to a harlot; so they went in to Oola and to Ooliba to work iniquity.
45 Darum werden gerechte Männer sie verurteilen, wie man Ehebrecherinnen und Blutvergießerinnen verurteilen soll; denn sie sind Ehebrecherinnen, und Blut klebt an ihren Händen.
And they are just men, and shall take vengeance on them with the judgment of an adulteress and the judgment of blood: for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 Darum spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Ich bringe einen großen Haufen Volks gegen sie herauf und gebe sie der Mißhandlung und Plünderung preis.
Thus saith the Lord God, Bring up a multitude upon them, and send trouble and plunder into the midst of them.
47 Und die Gemeinde soll sie steinigen und mit ihren Schwertern zerhauen; ihre Söhne und Töchter soll man erwürgen und ihre Häuser mit Feuer verbrennen.
And stone them with the stones of a multitude, and pierce them with their swords: they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and shall burn up their houses.
48 Also will ich die Unzucht aus dem Lande ausrotten, daß sich alle Weiber dadurch warnen lassen und nicht solche Unzucht treiben wie ihr!
And I will remove ungodliness out of the land, and all the women shall be instructed, and shall not do according to their ungodliness.
49 Also werden sie eure Unzucht auf euch legen, und ihr sollt die Sünde, welche ihr mit euren Götzen begangen habt, tragen, damit ihr erfahret, daß ich Gott, der HERR, bin!
And your ungodliness shall be recompensed upon you, and ye shall bear the guilt of your devices: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
