Psalm 96
1 Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied; singet dem HERRN, alle Welt!
Sing to YHWH a new song. Sing to YHWH, all the earth.
2 Singet dem HERRN und lobet seinen Namen; prediget einen Tag am andern sein Heil!
Sing to YHWH. Bless his name. Proclaim his salvation from day to day.
3 Erzählet unter den Heiden seine Ehre, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder!
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
4 Denn der HERR ist groß und hoch zu loben, wunderbarlich über alle Götter.
For great is YHWH, and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods.
5 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Götzen; aber der HERR hat den Himmel gemacht.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but YHWH made the heavens.
6 Es stehet herrlich und prächtig vor ihm und gehet gewaltiglich und löblich zu in seinem Heiligtum.
Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Ihr Völker, bringet her dem HERRN, bringet her dem HERRN Ehre und Macht!
Ascribe to YHWH, you families of nations, ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.
8 Bringet her dem HERRN die Ehre seinem Namen; bringet Geschenke und kommt in seine Vorhöfe!
Ascribe to YHWH the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 Betet an den HERRN in heiligem Schmuck; es fürchte ihn alle Welt!
Worship YHWH in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.
10 Sagt unter den Heiden, daß der HERR König sei und habe sein Reich, soweit die Welt ist, bereitet, daß es bleiben soll, und richtet die Völker recht
Say among the nations, "YHWH reigns." The world is also established. It can't be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Himmel freue sich, und Erde sei fröhlich; das Meer brause, und was drinnen ist;
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness.
12 das Feld sei fröhlich und alles, was drauf ist; und lasset rühmen alle Bäume im Walde
Let the field and all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joy
13 vor dem HERRN; denn er kommt, denn er kommt, zu richten das Erdreich. Er wird den Erdboden richten mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker mit seiner Wahrheit.
before YHWH; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.
