Jesaja 36

1 Und es begab sich, im vierzehnten Jahr des Königs Hiskia zog der König zu Assyrien, Sanherib, herauf wider alle festen Städte Judas und gewann sie.

And it was don in the fourtenthe yeer of kyng Ezechie, Sennacherib, the kyng of Assiriens, stiede on alle the stronge citees of Juda, and took tho.

2 Und der König zu Assyrien sandte den Rabsake von Lachis gen Jerusalem zu dem Könige Hiskia mit großer Macht. Und er trat an die Wasserröhren des obern Teichs am Wege bei dem Acker des Färbers.

And the kyng of Assiriens sente Rapsases fro Lachis to Jerusalem, to kyng Ezechie, with greet power; and he stood at the watir cundit of the hiyere sisterne, in the weie of the feeld of a fullere.

3 Und es ging zu ihm heraus Eliakim, der Sohn Hilkias, der Hofmeister, und Sebena, der Kanzler, und Joah, der Sohn Assaphs, der Schreiber.

And Eliachym, the sone of Elchie, that was on the hous, yede out to hym, and Sobna, the scryuen, and Joae, the sone of Asaph, the chaunceler.

4 Und der Erzschenke sprach zu ihnen: Saget doch dem Hiskia: So spricht der große König, der König zu Assyrien: Was ist das für ein Trotz, darauf du dich verlässest?

And Rapsases seide to hem, Seie ye to Ezechie, The greet king, the king of Assiriens, seith these thingis, What is the trist, in which thou tristist?

5 Ich achte, du lässest dich bereden, daß du noch Rat und Macht wissest zu streiten. Auf wen verlässest du denn dich, daß du mir bist abfällig worden?

ethir bi what councele ether strengthe disposist thou for to rebelle? on whom hast thou trist, for thou hast go awei fro me?

6 Verlässest du dich auf den zerbrochenen Rohrstab Ägypten, welcher, so jemand sich darauf lehnet, gehet er ihm in die Hand und durchbohret sie? Also tut Pharao, der König zu Ägypten, allen, die sich auf ihn verlassen.

Lo! thou tristist on this brokun staf of rehed, on Egipt, on which if a man restith, it schal entre in to his hoond, and schal perse it; so doith Farao, the kyng of Egipt, to alle men that tristen in hym.

7 Willst du aber mir sagen: Wir verlassen uns auf den HERRN, unsern Gott? Ist's denn nicht der, welches Höhen und Altäre der Hiskia hat abgetan und zu Juda und Jerusalem gesagt: Vor diesem Altar sollt ihr anbeten?

That if thou answerist to me, We tristen in oure Lord God; whether it is not he, whose hiye places and auteris Esechie dide awei, and he seide to Juda and to Jerusalem, Ye schulen worschipe bifore this auter?

8 Wohlan, so nimm's an mit meinem HERRN, dem Könige zu Assyrien! Ich will dir zweitausend Rosse geben; laß sehen, ob du bei dir könnest ausrichten, die darauf reiten.

And now bitake thee to my lord, the kyng of Assiriens, and Y schal yyue to thee twei thousynde of horsis, and thou maist not yyue of thee stieris of tho horsis.

9 Wie willst du denn bleiben vor einem Hauptmann, der geringsten Diener einem meines HERRN? Und du verlässest dich auf Ägypten um der Wagen und Reiter willen.

And hou schalt thou abide the face of the iuge of o place of the lesse seruauntis of my lord? That if thou tristist in Egipt, and in cartis, and in knyytis;

10 Dazu meinest du, daß ich ohne den HERRN bin heraufgezogen in dies Land, dasselbige zu verderben? Ja, der HERR sprach zu mir: Zeuch hinauf in dies Land und verderbe es!

and now whethir Y stiede to this lond with out the Lord, that Y schulde distrie it? The Lord seide to me, Stie thou on this lond, and distrie thou it.

11 Aber Eliakim und Sebena und Joah sprachen zum Erzschenken: Lieber, rede mit deinen Knechten auf syrisch, denn wir verstehen's wohl; und rede nicht auf jüdisch mit uns vor den Ohren des Volks, das auf der Mauer ist.

And Eliachym, and Sobna, and Joae, seiden to Rapsaces, Speke thou to thi seruauntis bi the langage of Sirie, for we vndurstonden; speke thou not to vs bi the langage of Jewis in the eeris of the puple, which is on the wal.

12 Da sprach der Erzschenke: Meinest du, daß mein HERR mich zu deinem HERRN oder zu dir gesandt habe, solche Worte zu reden, und nicht vielmehr zu den Männern, die auf der Mauer sitzen, daß sie samt euch ihren eigenen Mist fressen und ihren Harn saufen?

And Rapsaces seide to hem, Whether mi lord sente me to thi lord, and to thee, that Y schulde speke alle these wordis, and not rathere to the men that sitten on the wal, that thei ete her toordis, and drynke the pisse of her feet with you?

13 Und der Erzschenke stund und rief laut auf jüdisch und sprach: Höret die Worte des großen Königs, des Königs zu Assyrien!

And Rapsaces stood, and criede with greet vois in the langage of Jewis, and seide, Here ye the wordis of the greet kyng, the kyng of Assiriens.

14 So spricht der König: Laßt euch Hiskia nicht betrügen; denn er kann euch nicht erretten.

The kyng seith these thingis, Esechie disseyue not you, for he may not delyuere you;

15 Und laßt euch Hiskia nicht vertrösten auf den HERRN, daß er sagt: Der HERR wird uns erretten, und diese Stadt wird nicht in die Hand des Königs zu Assyrien gegeben werden.

and Ezechie yyue not to you trist on the Lord, and seie, The Lord delyuerynge schal delyuere vs; this citee schal not be youun in to the hoond of the kyng of Assiriens.

16 Gehorchet Hiskia nicht! Denn so spricht der König zu Assyrien: Tut mir zu Danke und gehet zu mir heraus, so sollt ihr ein jeglicher von seinem Weinstock und von seinem Feigenbaum essen und aus seinem Brunnen trinken,

Nyle ye here Ezechie. For whi the kyng of Assiriens seith these thingis, Make ye blessyng with me, and go ye out to me; and ete ye ech man his vyner, and ech man his fige tre, and drynke ye ech man the water of his cisterne,

17 bis daß ich komme und hole euch in ein Land, wie euer Land ist, ein Land, da Korn und Most innen ist, ein Land, da Brot und Weinberge innen sind.

til Y come, and take awei you to a lond which is as youre lond; to a lond of whete and of wyn, to a lond of looues and of vyneris.

18 Laßt euch Hiskia nicht bereden, daß er sagt: Der HERR wird uns erlösen. Haben auch der Heiden Götter ein jeglicher sein Land errettet von der Hand des Königs zu Assyrien?

Ezechie disturble not you, and seie, The Lord schal delyuere vs. Whether the goddis of folkis delyuereden ech his lond fro the hond of the kyng of Assiriens?

19 Wo sind die Götter zu Hamath und Arpad? Wo sind die Götter zu Sepharvaim? Haben sie auch Samaria errettet von meiner Hand?

Where is the god of Emath, and of Arphat? Where is the god of Sepharuaym? Whethir thei delyueriden Samarie fro myn hond?

20 Welcher unter allen Göttern dieser Lande hat sein Land errettet von meiner Hand, daß der HERR sollte Jerusalem erretten von meiner Hand?

Who is of alle goddis of these londis, that delyueride his lond fro myn hond, that the Lord delyuere Jerusalem fro myn hond?

21 Sie schwiegen aber stille und antworteten ihm nichts; denn der König hatte geboten und gesagt: Antwortet ihm nichts!

And thei weren stille, and answeriden not to hym a word. For whi the kyng comaundide to hem, and seide, Answere ye not to him.

22 Da kamen Eliakim, der Sohn Hilkias, der Hofmeister, und Sebena, der Kanzler, und Joah, der Sohn Assaphs, der Schreiber, mit zerrissenen Kleidern und zeigten ihm an die Worte des Erzschenken.

And Eliachym, the sone of Elchie, that was on the hous, and Sobna, the scryueyn, and Joae, the sone of Asaph, chaunceler, entriden with to-rent clothis to Ezechie, and telde to hym the wordis of Rapsaces.
