1 Dies sind die Kinder aus den Landen, die heraufzogen aus dem Gefängnis, die Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, hatte gen Babel geführet, und wieder gen Jerusalem und nach Juda kamen, ein jeglicher in seine Stadt.
Now these are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his city;
2 Und kamen mit Serubabel, Jesua, Nehemia, Seraja, Reelja, Mardochai, Bilsan, Mispar, Bigevai, Rehum und Baena. Dies ist nun die Zahl der Männer des Volks Israel:

6 der Kinder Pahath-Moab, unter der Kindern Jesua, Joab, zweitausend achthundert und zwölf;
The descendants of Pahath-Moab, of the descendants of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred twelve.

The descendants of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.

58 Aller Nethinim und Kinder der Knechte Salomos waren zusammen dreihundert und zweiundneunzig.
All the Nethinim, and the descendants of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
59 Und diese zogen auch mit herauf: Mithel, Melah, Thel-Harsa, Cherub-Addon und Immer; aber sie konnten nicht anzeigen ihrer Väter Haus, noch ihren Samen, ob sie aus Israel wären.
These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not show whether their fathers' house, and their descent, were from Israel:
60 Die Kinder Delaja, die Kinder Tobia, die Kinder Nekoda: sechshundert und zweiundfünfzig.
the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
61 Und von den Kindern der Priester: die Kinder Habaja, die Kinder Hakoz, die Kinder Barsillai, der aus den Töchtern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, ein Weib nahm und ward unter derselben Namen genannt.
Of the descendants of the priests: the descendants of Habaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
62 Dieselben suchten ihre Geburtsregister und fanden keine; darum wurden sie vom Priestertum los.
These sought their place among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.
63 Und Hathirsatha sprach zu ihnen, sie sollten nicht essen vom Allerheiligsten, bis ein Priester stünde mit dem Licht und Recht.
The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
64 Der ganzen Gemeine, wie ein Mann, war zweiundvierzigtausend dreihundert und sechzig,
The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
65 ausgenommen ihre Knechte und Mägde, der waren siebentausend dreihundert, und siebenunddreißig. Und hatten zweihundert Sänger und Sängerinnen,
besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 siebenhundert und sechsunddreißig Rosse, zweihundert und fünfundvierzig Mäuler,
Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;
67 vierhundert und fünfunddreißig Kamele und sechstausend siebenhundert und zwanzig Esel.
their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 Und etliche der obersten Väter, da sie kamen zum Hause des HERRN zu Jerusalem, wurden sie freiwillig zum Hause Gottes, daß man es setzte auf seine Stätte.
Some of the heads of ancestral houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God's house to set it up in its place:
69 Und gaben nach ihrem Vermögen zum Schatz ans Werk einundsechzigtausend Gülden und fünftausend Pfund Silbers und hundert Priesterröcke.
they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
70 Also setzten sich die Priester und die Leviten und etliche des Volks und die Sänger und die Torhüter und die Nethinim in ihre Städte und alles Israel in seine Städte.
So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
