Esra 1
1 Im ersten Jahr Kores, des Königs in Persien, daß erfüllet würde das Wort des HERRN durch den Mund Jeremias geredet, erweckte der HERR den Geist Kores, des Königs in Persien, daß er ließ ausschreien durch sein ganzes Königreich, auch durch Schrift, und sagen:
Now in the first year of Koresh king of Persia, that the word of YHWH by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, YHWH stirred up the spirit of Koresh king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
2 So spricht Kores, der König in Persien: Der HERR, der Gott vom Himmel, hat mir alle Königreiche in Landen gegeben; und er hat mir befohlen, ihm ein Haus zu bauen zu Jerusalem in Juda.
"Thus says Koresh king of Persia, 'YHWH, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Wer nun unter euch seines Volks ist, mit dem sei sein Gott, und er ziehe hinauf gen Jerusalem in Juda und baue das Haus des HERRN, des Gottes Israels. Er ist der Gott, der zu Jerusalem ist.
Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of YHWH, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.
4 Und wer noch übrig ist an allen Orten, da er Fremdling ist, dem helfen die Leute seines Orts mit Silber und Gold, Gut und Vieh aus freiem Willen zum Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem.
Whoever is left, in any place where he lives, let the men of his place help him with silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for God's house which is in Jerusalem.'"
5 Da machten sich auf die obersten Väter aus Juda und Benjamin und die Priester und Leviten, alle, deren Geist Gott erweckte, hinaufzuziehen und zu bauen das Haus des HERRN zu Jerusalem.
Then the heads of ancestral houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up rose up to build the house of YHWH which is in Jerusalem.
6 Und alle, die um sie her waren, stärkten ihre Hand mit silbernem und güldenem Geräte, mit Gut und Vieh und Kleinoden, ohne was sie freiwillig gaben.
All those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
7 Und der König Kores tat heraus die Gefäße des Hauses des HERRN, die Nebukadnezar aus Jerusalem genommen und in seines Gottes Haus getan hatte.
Also Koresh the king brought forth the vessels of the house of YHWH, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;
8 Aber Kores, der König in Persien, tat sie heraus durch Mithredath, den Schatzmeister, und zählete sie dar Sesbazar, dem Fürsten Judas.
even those, Koresh king of Persia brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
9 Und dies ist ihre Zahl: dreißig güldene Becken und tausend silberne Becken, neunundzwanzig Messer,
This is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, one thousand platters of silver, twenty-nine knives,
10 dreißig güldene Becher und der andern silbernen Becher vierhundertundzehn und anderer Gefäße tausend,
thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels one thousand.
11 daß aller Gefäße, beide güldene und silberne, waren fünftausend und vierhundert. Alle brachte sie Sesbazar herauf mit denen, die aus dem Gefängnis von Babel heraufzogen gen Jerusalem.
All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all these up, when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
