2 Chronik 31

1 Und da dies alles war ausgerichtet, zogen hinaus alle Israeliten, die unter den Städten Judas funden wurden, und zerbrachen die Säulen und hieben die Haine ab und brachen ab die Höhen und Altäre aus dem ganzen Juda, Benjamin, Ephraim und Manasse, bis sie sie gar aufräumten. Und die Kinder Israel zogen alle wieder zu ihrem Gut in ihre Städte.

Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

2 Hiskia aber stellete die Priester und Leviten in ihre Ordnung, einen jeglichen nach seinem Amt, beide der Priester und Leviten, zu Brandopfern und Dankopfern, daß sie dieneten, danketen und lobeten in den Toren des Lagers des HERRN.

Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites after their divisions, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of YHWH.

3 Und der König gab sein Teil von seiner Habe zu Brandopfern des Morgens und des Abends und zu Brandopfern des Sabbats und Neumonden und Festen, wie es geschrieben stehet im Gesetz des HERRN.

He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of YHWH.

4 Und er sprach zum Volk, das zu Jerusalem wohnete, daß sie Teil gäben den Priestern und Leviten, auf daß sie könnten desto härter anhalten am Gesetz des HERRN.

Moreover he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to the law of YHWH.

5 Und da das Wort auskam, gaben die Kinder Israel viel Erstlinge von Getreide, Most, Öl, Honig und allerlei Einkommens vom Felde; und allerlei Zehnten brachten sie viel hinein.

As soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

6 Und die Kinder Israel und Juda, die in den Städten Judas wohneten, brachten auch Zehnten von Rindern und Schafen und Zehnten von dem Geheiligten, das sie dem HERRN, ihrem Gott, geheiliget hatten, und machten hie einen Haufen und da einen Haufen.

The children of Israel and Judah, who lived in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to YHWH their God, and laid them by heaps.

7 Im dritten Monden fingen sie an, Haufen zu legen, und im siebenten Monden richteten sie es aus.

In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

8 Und da Hiskia mit den Obersten hineinging und sahen die Haufen, lobeten sie den HERRN und sein Volk Israel.

And when Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed YHWH, and his people Israel.

9 Und Hiskia fragte die Priester und Leviten um die Haufen.

Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

10 Und Asarja, der Priester, der Vornehmste im Hause Zadok, sprach zu ihm: Seit der Zeit man angefangen hat, die Hebe zu bringen ins Haus des HERRN, haben wir gegessen und sind satt worden, und ist noch viel überblieben; denn der HERR hat sein Volk gesegnet, darum ist dieser Haufe überblieben.

Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, "Since people began to bring the offerings into the house of YHWH, we have eaten and had enough, and have left plenty: for YHWH has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store."

11 Da befahl der König, daß man Kasten zubereiten sollte am Hause des HERRN. Und sie bereiteten sie zu

Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of YHWH; and they prepared them.

12 und taten hinein die Hebe, die Zehnten und das Geheiligte treulich. Und über dasselbe war Fürst Chananja, der Levit, und Simei, sein Bruder, der andere,

They brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: and over them Conaniah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was second.

13 und Jehiel, Asasja, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Josabad, Eliel, Jesmachja, Mahath und Benaja, verordnet von der Hand Chananjas und Simeis, seines Bruders, nach dem Befehl des Königs Hiskia. Aber Asarja war Fürst im Hause Gottes.

Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismakiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of God's house.

14 Und Kore, der Sohn Jemnas, der Levit, der Torhüter gegen Morgen, war über die freiwilligen Gaben Gottes, die dem HERRN zur Hebe gegeben wurden, und über die allerheiligsten.

Kore the son of Jimnah the Levite, the keeper of the east gate, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the offerings of YHWH, and the most holy things.

15 Und unter seiner Hand waren: Eden, Minjamin, Jesua, Semaja, Amarja und Sachanja in den Städten der Priester, auf Glauben, daß sie geben sollten ihren Brüdern nach ihrer Ordnung, dem Kleinsten wie dem Großen;

Under him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, alongside the priests, to faithfully make disbursements to their brothers by divisions, as well to the great as to the small:

16 dazu denen, die gerechnet wurden für Mannsbilde von drei Jahren alt und drüber, unter allen, die in das Haus des HERRN gingen, ein jeglicher an seinem Tage zu ihrem Amt in ihrer Hut nach ihrer Ordnung;

besides those who were reckoned by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even everyone who entered into the house of YHWH, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their divisions.

17 auch die für Priester gerechnet wurden im Hause ihrer Väter, und die Leviten, von zwanzig Jahren und drüber, in ihrer Hut nach ihrer Ordnung;

This is the enrollment of the priests by their fathers' houses, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their offices by their divisions;

18 dazu die gerechnet wurden unter ihre Kinder, Weiber, Söhne und Töchter, unter der ganzen Gemeine. Denn sie heiligten treulich das Geheiligte.

and those who were reckoned by genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their office of trust they sanctified themselves in holiness.

19 Auch waren Männer mit Namen benannt unter den Kindern Aaron, den Priestern, auf den Feldern der Vorstädte in allen Städten, daß sie Teil gäben allen Mannsbildern unter den Priestern und allen, die unter die Leviten gerechnet wurden.

Also for the descendants of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all who were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.

20 Also tat Hiskia im ganzen Juda und tat, was gut, recht und wahrhaftig war vor dem HERRN, seinem Gott.

Hezekiah did so throughout all Judah; and he worked that which was good and right and faithful before YHWH his God.

21 Und in allem Tun, das er anfing, am Dienst des Hauses Gottes nach dem Gesetz und Gebot, zu suchen seinen Gott, das tat er von ganzem Herzen; darum hatte er auch Glück.

In every work that he began in the service of God's house, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
