The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 Die Kinder aber Gomers sind: Askenas, Riphath, Thogarma.
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
7 Die Kinder Javans sind: Elisa, Tharsisa, Chitim, Dodanim.
The sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 Die Kinder Hams sind: Chus, Mizraim, Put, Kanaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Die Kinder aber Chus sind: Seba, Hevila, Sabtha, Ragema, Sabthecha. Die Kinder aber Ragemas sind: Scheba und Dedan.
The sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Chus aber zeugete Nimrod; der fing an gewaltig zu sein auf Erden.
Cush became the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty hunter on the earth.
11 Mizraim zeugete Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphthuhim,
Mizraim became the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
12 Pathrusim, Kasluhim (von welchen sind auskommen die Philistim) und Kaphthorim.

13 Kanaan aber zeugete Zidon, seinen ersten Sohn, und Heth,

17 Die Kinder Sems sind diese: Elam, Assur, Arphachsad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether und Masech.

18 Arphachsad aber zeugete Salah; Salah zeugete Eber.
Arpachshad became the father of Kenan, and Kenan became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
19 Eber aber wurden zween Söhne geboren; der eine hieß Peleg, darum daß zu seiner Zeit das Land zerteilet ward; und sein Bruder hieß Jaktan.
To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 Jaktan aber zeugete Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,
Joktan became the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimael, Scheba,
and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 Ophir, Hevila und Jobab. Das sind alle Kinder Jaktans.

31 Jethur, Naphis, Kedma. Das sind die Kinder Ismaels.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
32 Die Kinder aber Keturas, des Kebsweibes Abrahams: die gebar Simran, Jaksan, Medan, Midian, Jesbak, Suah. Aber die Kinder Jaksans sind: Scheba und Dedan.
The sons of Keturah, Abraham's secondary wife: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Und die Kinder Midians sind: Epha, Epher, Henoch, Abida, Eldaa. Dies sind alle Kinder der Ketura.
The sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.
34 Abraham zeugete Isaak. Die Kinder aber Isaaks sind: Esau und Israel.
Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.
35 Die Kinder Esaus sind: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
36 Die Kinder Eliphas sind: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, Kenaz; and by Timna: Amalek.
37 Die Kinder Reguels sind: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Misa.
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Die Kinder Seirs sind: Lothan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.
The sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Die Kinder Lothans sind: Hori, Homam; und Thimna war eine Schwester Lothans.
The sons of Lotan: Hori, and Hemam; and Timna was Lotan's sister.

41 Die Kinder Anas: Dison. Die Kinder Disons sind: Hamran, Esban, Jethran, Cheran.
The sons of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Keran.
42 Die Kinder Ezers sind: Bilhan, Saewan, Jaekan. Die Kinder Disans sind: Uz und Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
43 Dies sind die Könige, die regieret haben im Lande Edom, ehe denn ein König regierete unter den Kindern Israel: Bela, der Sohn Beors; und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.
Now these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Und da Bela starb, ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serahs, von Bazra.
Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.
45 Und da Jobab starb, ward König an seiner Statt Husam aus der Themaniter Lande.
Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
46 Da Husam starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, der die Midianiter schlug in der Moabiter Felde; und seine Stadt hieß Awith.
Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Avith.
47 Da Hadad starb, ward König an seiner Statt Samla von Masrek.
Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.
48 Da Samla starb, ward König an seiner Statt Saul von Rehoboth am Wasser.
Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth-ha-Nahar reigned in his place.
49 Da Saul starb, ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors.
Shaul died, and Baal Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.
50 Da Baal-Hanan starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, und seine Stadt hieß Pagi; und sein Weib hieß Mehetabeel, eine Tochter Matreds, die Mesahabs Tochter war.
Baal Hanan died, and Hadad son of Bedad reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.
51 Da aber Hadad starb, wurden Fürsten zu Edom: Fürst Thimna, Fürst Alwa, Fürst Jetheth,
Hadad died. The chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth,
52 Fürst Ahalibama, Fürst Ela, Fürst Pinon,
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
53 Fürst Kenas, Fürst Theman, Fürst Mibzar,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
54 Fürst Magdiel, Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten zu Edom.
