Josua 21

1 Da traten die Familienhäupter der Leviten zu Eleasar, dem Priester, und zu Josua, dem Sohne Nuns, und zu den Stammhäuptern der israelitischen Stämme

Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

2 und sprachen zu ihnen in Silo im Lande Kanaan also: Jahwe hat durch Mose befohlen, uns Städte zu Wohnsitzen und die zugehörigen Weidetriften für unser Vieh abzutreten.

and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'

3 Da übergaben die Israeliten auf das Geheiß Jahwes den Leviten von ihrem Erbbesitze die nachfolgenden Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.

4 Und es kam das Los für die Geschlechter der Kahathiter heraus; und zwar erhielten unter den Leviten die Nachkommen Aarons, des Priesters, vom Stamme Juda und vom Stamme der Simeoniten und vom Stamme Benjamin durch das Los dreizehn Städte.

And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

5 Die übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths aber erhielten von den Geschlechtern des Stammes Ephraim und vom Stamme Dan und vom halben Stamm Manasse durch das Los zehn Städte.

And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

6 Die Nachkommen Gersons erhielten von den Geschlechtern des Stammes Issachar und vom Stamme Asser und vom Stamme Naphthali und vom halben Stamm Manasse in Basan durch das Los dreizehn Städte.

And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

7 Die verschiedenen Geschlechter der Nachkommen Meraris erhielten vom Stamme Ruben und vom Stamme Gad und vom Stamme Sebulon zwölf Städte.

The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

8 Und zwar übergaben die Israeliten den Leviten die erwähnten Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften auf Grund des Loses, wie Jahwe durch Mose befohlen hatte.

And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

9 Sie traten aber vom Stamme der Judäer und vom Stamme der Simeoniten folgende namentlich benannte Städte ab.

And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.

10 Von den Geschlechtern der Kahathiter unter den Nachkommen Levis erhielten die Nachkommen Aarons - denn auf sie fiel zuerst das Los -,

And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.

11 und man trat ihnen ab die Stadt Arbas, des Vaters Enaks, das ist Hebron, auf dem Gebirge Juda samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften rings um sie her.

And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron — in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.

12 Die zu der Stadt gehörenden Äcker aber und die zugehörigen Dörfer übergaben sie Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnes, als ihm zufallenden Erbbesitz.

But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13 Den Nachkommen Aarons, des Priesters, aber übergaben sie die Zufluchtsstadt für Totschläger, Hebron, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Libna samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;

14 Jattir samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Esthemoa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;

15 Holon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Debir samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;

16 Asan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jutta samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Beth Semes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - neun Städte von seiten der genannten beiden Stämme.

and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.

17 Und vom Stamme Benjamin: Gibeon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Geba samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;

18 Anathoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Almon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.

19 Es erhielten somit die Nachkommen Aarons, die Priester, insgesamt dreizehn Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

20 Und was die Geschlechter der zu den Leviten zählenden Nachkommen Kahaths, betrifft, so wurden die Städte, die ihnen durch das Los zufielen, vom Stamme Ephraim abgetreten.

And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

21 Und zwar trat man ihnen ab: die Zufluchtsstadt für Totschläger, Sichem, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, auf dem Gebirge Ephraim, Geser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;

22 Kibzaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, und Beth Horon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.

23 Und vom Stamme Dan: Eltheke samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Gibbethon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;

24 Ajalon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Gath Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.

25 Und vom halben Stamme Manasse: Thaanach samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jibleam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - zwei Städte.

And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.

26 Es erhielten somit die Geschlechter der übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths insgesamt zehn Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.

27 Weiter erhielten unter den Geschlechtern der Leviten die Nachkommen Gersons vom halben Stamm Manasse: die Zufluchtsstadt für Totschläger, Golan in Basan, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Beesthera samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - zwei Städte.

And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.

28 Und vom Stamme Issachar Kisjon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Daberath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

29 Jarmuth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und En Gannim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.

30 Und vom Stamme Asser: Miseal samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Rehob samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;

31 Helkath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Rehob samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.

32 Und vom Stamme Naphtali: die Zufluchtstadt für Totschläger, Kedes im Galil, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Hammoth Dor samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Karthan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - drei Städte.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.

33 Es erhielten somit die verschiedenen Geschlechter der Gersoniter insgesamt dreizehn Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.

All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

34 Die Geschlechter der Nachkommen Meraris aber, der noch übrigen Leviten, erhielten vom Stamme Sebulon: Jokneam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Kartha samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;

35 Dimna samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Nahalal samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.

36 Und vom Stamme Ruben: die Zufluchtstadt für Totschläger, Bezer in der Steppe, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jahza samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;

37 Kedemoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Mephaat samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - vier Städte.

Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.

38 Und vom Stamme Gad: die Zufluchtstadt für Totschläger, Ramoth in Gilead, samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Mahanaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,

And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;

39 Hesbon samt den zugehörigenWeidetriften und Jaeser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften - insgesamt vier Städte.

Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.

40 So erhielten die verschiedenen Geschlechter der Nachkommen Meraris, die noch übrig waren von den Geschlechtern der Leviten, als Anteil, der ihnen durch das Los zufiel, insgesamt zwölf Städte.

All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.

41 Es waren also der Levitenstädte inmitten des Erbbesitzes der Israeliten achtundvierzig samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften rings um sie her; dies gilt von allen den genannten Städten.

All the cities of the Levites — forty and eight cities with the open land about them — shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,

42 Es bestanden aber die genannten Städte jedesmal in einer Stadt und den zugehörigen Weidetriften rings um sie her; dies gilt von allen den genannten Städten.

even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.

43 Und Jahwe verlieh Israel das ganze Land, dessen verleihun er ihremn Vätern eidlich verheißen hatte, und sie nahmen es in Besitz und siedelten sich darin an.

So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

44 Und Jahwe verschaffte ihnen ringsum Ruhe, ganz wie er ihren Vätern geschworen hatte. Keiner von allen ihren Feinden hielt gegen sie stand; Jahwe gab alle ihre Feinde in ihre Gewalt.

And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

45 Von allen den Verheißungen, die Jahwe dem Hause Israel gegeben hatte, war keine hinfällig geworden: alles war in Erfüllung gegangen.

There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
