Jeremia 47
1 Was als Wort Jahwes an den Propheten Jeremia erging in betreff der Philister, bevor der Pharao Gaza überwand.
The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, the profete, ayens Palestyns, bifor that Farao smoot Gaza.
2 So spricht Jahwe: Schon fluten Wasser von Norden heran und werden zum überschwemmenden Bach; sie überschwemmen das Land und was es erfüllt, die Städte und die darin wohnen, daß die Menschen laut schreien, und alle Bewohner des Landes heulen.
The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! watris schulen stie fro the north, and tho schulen be as a stronde flowynge, and tho schulen hile the lond, and the fulnesse therof, the citee, and the dwelleris therof. Men schulen crie, and alle the dwelleris of the lond schulen yelle,
3 Ob des gedröhns vom Aufstampfen der Hufe seiner Hengste, ob des gerassels seiner Wagen, des Getöses seiner Räder, sehen sich Väter nicht nach ihren Kindern um, weil ihre Hände kraftlos geworden,
for the noise of boost of armed men, and of werriours of hym, and for mouyng of hise cartis, and multitude of hise wheelis. Fadris bihelden not sones with clumsid hondis,
4 wegen des tags, der da angebrochen ist, daß er ganz Philistäa verwüste, daß er Tyrus und Sidon jeden noch übriggebliebenen helfer vertilge. Denn Jahwe will Philistäa verwüsten, den Überrest der Küste Kaphtor.
for the comyng of the dai in which alle Filisteis schulen be destried; and Tirus schal be destried, and Sidon with alle her othere helpis. For the Lord hath destried Palestyns, the remenauntis of the ile of Capadocie.
5 Kahlheit ist über Gaza gekommen, vernichtet ist Askalon: Du Überrest der Enakiter, wie lange willst du dir Einritzungen machen?
Ballidnesse cam on Gaza; Ascolon was stille, and the remenauntis of the valei of tho.
6 Ha! du Schwert Jahwes, wie lange willst du rastlos sein? Zieh' dich zurück in deine Scheide! Beruhige dich und bleibe still!
Hou longe schalt thou falle doun, O! swerd of the Lord, hou long schalt thou not reste? Entre thou in to thi schethe, be thou refreischid, and be stille.
7 Wie sollte es rasten, hat doch Jahwe es beordert? Nach Askalon und nach dem Gestade des Meers, - dorthin hat er es bestellt!
Hou schal it reste, whanne the Lord comaundide to it ayens Ascalon, and ayens the see coostis therof, and there hath seide to it?
