Jeremia 13
1 So sprach Jahwe zu mir: Gehe hin und kaufe dir einen linnenen Gürtel und lege ihn um deine Hüften, aber in Wasser laß ihn nicht kommen!
The Lord seith these thingis to me, Go, and take in possessioun to thee a lynnun breigirdil; and thou schalt putte it on thi leendis, and thou schalt not bere it in to watir.
2 Da kaufte ich den Gürtel, wie Jahwe geboten, und legte ihn um meine Hüften.
And Y took in possessioun a breigirdil, bi the word of the Lord; and Y puttide aboute my leendis.
3 Sodann erging das Wort Jahwes zum zweiten Mal an mich, also lautend:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me in the secounde tyme,
4 Nimm den Gürtel an deinen Hüften, den du gekauft hast, begieb dich nach dem Euphrat und verbirg ihn dort in einer Felsenspalte!
and seide, Take the brigirdil, which thou haddist in possessioun, which is aboute thi leendis; and rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and hide thou it there, in the hoole of a stoon.
5 Da ging ich hin und verbarg ihn am Euphrat, wie mir Jahwe befohlen hatte.
And Y yede, and hidde it in Eufrates, as the Lord comaundide to me.
6 Nach Verlauf einer geraumen Zeit aber sprach Jahwe zu mir: Begieb dich nach dem Euphrat und hole von dort den Gürtel, den ich dir dort zu verbergen befohlen habe!
And it was don aftir ful many daies, the Lord seide to me, Rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and take fro thennus the brigirdil, whiche Y comaundide to thee, that thou schuldist hide it there.
7 Da ging ich nach dem Euphrat, grub nach und nahm den Gürtel von der Stelle, an der ich ihn verborgen hatte, aber siehe da - der Gürtel war verdorben, taugte zu nichts mehr.
And Y yede to Eufrates, and diggide out, and Y took the breigirdil fro the place, where Y hadde hidde it; and lo! the breigirdil was rotun, so that it was not able to ony vss.
8 Da erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
9 So spricht Jahwe: Ebenso will ich den Hochmut Judas und den Hochmut Jerusalems, den gewaltigen, ins Verderben stürzen.
and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal make rotun the pride of Juda, and the myche pride of Jerusalem,
10 Diese ruchlosen Menschen, die sich weigern, meine Worte zu hören, die starrsinnig nach ihrem Sinne wandeln und andern Göttern nachfolgten, ihnen zu dienen und sich vor ihnen niederzuwerfen, - sie sollen wie dieser Gürtel werden, der zu nichts mehr taugt.
and this worste puple, that nylen here my wordis, and goen in the schrewidnesse of her herte; and thei yeden aftir alien goddis, to serue hem, and to worschipe hem; and thei schulen be as this breigirdil, which is not able to ony vss.
11 Denn gleichwie sich der Gürtel an die Hüften eines Mannes anschmiegt, so hatte ich das ganze Haus Israel und das ganze Haus Juda sich an mich anschmiegen lassen - ist der Spruch Jahwes -, damit es mein Volk und mein Ruhm, mein Lobpreis und meine Zier sei, aber sie gehorchten nicht.
For as a breigirdil cleueth to the leendis of a man, so Y ioynede faste to me al the hous of Israel, and al the hous of Juda, seith the Lord, that thei schulden be to me in to a puple, and in to name, and in to heriyng, and in to glorie; and thei herden not.
12 So sprich nun zu ihnen dieses Wort: So spricht Jahwe, der Gott Israels: Jeglicher Krug wird mit Wein gefüllt! Sagen sie dann zu dir: Sollten wir wirklich nicht wissen, daß jeglicher Krug mit Wein gefüllt wird?
Therfor thou schalt seie to hem this word, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Ech potel schal be fillid of wyn. And thei schulen seie to thee, Whether we witen not, that ech potel schal be fillid of wyn?
13 so sage zu ihnen: So spricht Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will alle Bewohner dieses Landes und die Könige, die als Nachkommen Davids auf seinem Throne sitzen, und die Priester und die Propheten und alle Bewohner Jerusalems mit Trunkenheit füllen
And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y shal fille with drunkenesse alle the dwelleris of this lond, and the kyngis of the generacioun of Dauith, that sitten on his trone, and the prestis, and profetis, and alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem.
14 und will sie einen an dem andern zerschmettern, und zwar die Väter und die Söhne miteinander - ist der Spruch Jahwes; keine Schonung oder Mitleid will ich üben, noch will ich mich erbarmen, daß ich sie nicht verderben sollte.
And Y schal scatere hem, a man fro his brother, and the fadris and sones togidere, seith the Lord; Y schal not spare, and Y schal not graunte, nether Y schal do mercy, that I leese not hem.
15 So hört doch und merkt auf! Seid nicht hochmütig, denn Jahwe hat geredet!
Here ye, and perseyue with eeris; nyle ye be reisid, for the Lord spak.
16 Gebt Jahwe, eurem Gotte, die Ehre, bevor es finster wird, und bevor sich eure Füße an finstern Bergen stoßen; da werdet ihr freilich auf Licht harren, er aber wird's in tiefe Finsternis verwandeln und zu dichtem Dunkel gestalten.
Yyue ye glorie to youre Lord God, bifore that it wexe derk, and bifor that youre feet hirte at derk hillis; ye schulen abide liyt, and he schal sette it in to the schadewe of deeth, and in to derknesse.
17 Wenn ihr aber nicht darauf hört, so will ich im Verborgenen ob des Hochmuts weinen, und unaufhörlich thränen, ja in Thränen zerfließen soll mein Auge, weil die Herde Jahwes gefangen fortgeführt wird.
That if ye heren not this, my soule schal wepe in hid place for the face of pride; it wepynge schal wepe, and myn iye shal caste out a teer, for the floc of the Lord is takun.
18 Sprich zum Könige und zur Herrin: Setzt euch tief herunter, denn herabgesunken ist euer Hauptschmuck, eure prächtige Krone!
Seye thou to the kyng, and to the ladi, Be ye mekid, sitte ye, for the coroun of youre glorie schal go doun fro youre heed.
19 Die Städte des Südlands sind verschlossen und niemand öffnet sie mehr, weggeführt wird Juda insgesamt, vollzählig weggeführt!
The cities of the south ben closid, and noon is that openith; al Juda is translatid bi perfit passyng ouere, ether goynge out of her lond.
20 Hebe deine Augen auf und sieh, wie sie vom Norden her kommen: Wo ist die Herde, die dir anvertraut war, deine prächtigen Schafe?
Reise ye youre iyen, and se ye, what men comen fro the north; where is the floc which is youun to thee, thi noble scheep?
21 Was wirst du sagen, wenn er dir deine Buhlen - du hast sie ja selbst an dich gewöhnt! - zum Oberhaupte setzen wird? Werden dich da nicht Wehen packen wie ein gebärendes Weib?
What schalt thou seie, whanne he schal visite thee? for thou hast tauyt hem ayens thee, and thou hast tauyt ayens thin heed. Whether sorewis han not take thee, as a womman trauelynge of child?
22 Und wenn du in deinem Innern sprechen wolltest: Warum hat mich solches betroffen? - ob der Größe deiner Verschuldung ist deine Schleppe aufgedeckt, sind deine Fersen mißhandelt!
That if thou seist in thin herte, Whi camen these thingis to me? for the multitude of thi wickidnesse thi schamefulere thingis ben schewid, thi feet ben defoulid.
23 Kann wohl ein Mohr seine Haut verwandeln oder ein Pardel seine Flecken? Dann würdet auch ihr gut zu handeln vermögen, die ihr gewohnt seid, Böses zu thun.
If a man of Ethiopie mai chaunge his skyn, ether a pard mai chaunge hise dyuersitees, and ye moun do wel, whanne ye han lerned yuel.
24 Und so will ich sie denn zerstreuen wie Stoppeln, die dahinfahren vor dem Wüstenwind.
And Y schal sowe hem abrood, as stobil which is rauyschid of the wynd in desert.
25 Das ist dein Los, dein Anteil, den ich dir zugemessen, ist der Spruch Jahwes, weil du mich vergessen hast und auf Lüge vertrautest.
This is thi lot, and the part of thi mesure of me, seith the Lord; for thou foryetidist me, and tristidist in a leesyng.
26 Darum auch decke ich dir vorne die Schleppe auf, daß deine Schande sichtbar werde!
Wherfor and Y made nakid thin hipis ayens thi face, and thi schenschipe apperide,
27 Deine Ehebrecherei und dein geiles Gewieher, deine schandbare Hurerei, - auf den Hügeln im freien Felde habe ich deine Greuel gesehen! Wehe dir, Jerusalem, du wirst nicht rein werden - nach wie lange noch?
thin auowtries, and thin neyyng, and the felonye of thi fornycacioun on litle hillis in the feeld; Y siy thin abhomynaciouns. Jerusalem, wo to thee, thou schalt not be clensid after me til yit.
