1 Mose 21
1 Jahwe aber hatte an Sara erfüllt, was er verheißen hatte, und Jahwe that mit Sara, wie er geredet hatte.
Forsothe God visitide Sare, as he bihiyte, and fillide tho thingis, that he spak.
2 Und Sara wurde schwanger und gebar dem Abraham einen Sohn in seinem hohen Alter um die Zeit, die Gott vorausgesagt hatte.
And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone in hir eeld, in the tyme wherynne God biforseide to hir.
3 Und Abraham nannte seinen neugebornen Sohn, den ihm Sara geboren hatte, Isaak.
And Abraham clepide the name of his sone, whom Sare childide to him, Ysaac.
4 Und Abraham beschnitt seinen Sohn Isaak, als er acht Tage alt war, wie ihm Gott geboten hatte.
And Abraham circumcidide hym in the eiyte dai, as God comaundide to him,
5 Abraham aber war hundert Jahre alt, als ihm sein Sohn Isaak geboren wurde.
whanne he was of an hundrid yeer; for Ysaac was borun in this age of the fadir.
6 Und Sara sprach: Ein Lachen hat mir Gott bereitet; jedermann, der davon hört, wird über mich lachen.
And Sare seide, The Lord made leiyynge to me, and who euer schal here schal leiye with me.
7 Und sie sprach: Wer hätte je von Abraham gedacht, daß Sara Kinder säugen werde! und doch habe ich ihm einen Sohn geboren in seinem Alter.
And eft sche seide, Who schulde here, and bileue to Abraham, that Sare schulde yyue soukyng to a sone, whom sche childide to him now an eld man?
8 Und der Knabe wuchs heran und wurde entwöhnt; Abraham aber veranstaltete ein großes Mahl an dem Tage, wo Isaak entwöhnt wurde.
Therfor the child encreesside, and was wenyd; and Abraham made a greet feeste in the dai of his wenyng.
9 Als nun Sara den Sohn der Ägypterin Hagar, den sie Abraham geboren hatte, lachen sah,
And whanne Sare seiy the sone of Agar Egipcian pleiynge with Ysaac hir sone, sche seide to Abraham,
10 da sprach sie zu Abraham: Jage diese Sklavin und ihren Sohn hinweg; denn der Sohn dieser Sklavin soll nicht erben mit meinem Sohn, mit Isaak!
Cast thou out the handmayde and hir sone; for the sone of the handmayde schal not be eir with my sone Ysaac.
11 Abraham aber mißfiel die Sache sehr um seines Sohnes willen.
Abraham took this heuyli for his sone;
12 Da sprach Gott zu Abraham: Laß es dir nicht leid sein wegen des Knaben und wegen deiner Sklavin; gehorche Sara in allem, was sie von dir verlangt; denn nur die, die von Isaak stammen, werden als deine wahrhaften Nachkommen gelten.
and God seide to hym, Be it not seyn scharp to thee on the child, and on thin handmayde; alle thingis whiche Sare seith to thee, here thou hir vois, for in Isaac seed schal be clepid to thee;
13 Aber auch den Sohn der Magd will ich zu einem Volke werden lassen, weil er dein Sohn ist.
but also I schal make the sone of the handmaid in to a greet folk, for he is thi seed.
14 Am andern Morgen früh nahm Abraham Brot und einen Schlauch mit Wasser und gab es Hagar; das Kind aber setzte er ihr auf die Schulter und schickte sie fort. Da ging sie hinweg und irrte umher in der Steppe von Beerseba.
And so Abraham roos eerli, and took breed, and a botel of watir, and puttide on hir schuldre, and bitook the child, and lefte hir; and whanne sche hadde go, sche yede out of the weie in the wildirnesse of Bersabee.
15 Als nun das Wasser im Schlauche zu Ende gegangen war, da warf sie den Knaben unter einen Strauch,
And whanne the watir in the botel was endid, sche castide awei the child vndur a tre that was there;
16 ging hin und setzte sich abseits einen Bogenschuß weit; denn sie sprach: Ich kann das Sterben des Kindes nicht ansehen! Daher setzte sie sich abseits; das Kind aber begann laut zu weinen.
and sche yede awei, and sche sat euene ayens as fer as a bowe may caste; for sche seide, Y schal not se the child diynge; and sche sat ayens, and reiside hir vois, and wepte.
17 Als nun Gott das Schreien des Knaben hörte, da rief der Engel Gottes der Hagar vom Himmel her zu und sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir, Hagar? Sei getrost! Gott hat das Schreien des Knaben gehört da, wo er liegt.
Forsothe the Lord herde the vois of the child, and the aungel of the Lord clepide Agar fro heuene, and seide, What doist thou, Agar? nyle thou drede, for God hath herd the vois of the child fro the place where ynne he is.
18 Geh, hebe den Knaben auf und fasse ihn bei der Hand, denn ich will ihn zu einem großen Volke werden lassen.
Rise thou, and take the child, and holde his hoond; for Y schal make hym in to a greet folc.
19 Und Gott that ihr die Augen auf, daß sie einen Wasserquell erblickte. Da ging sie hin, füllte den Schlauch mit Wasser und gab dem Knaben zu trinken.
And God openyde hir iyen, and sche seiy a pit of watir, and sche yede, and fillide the botel, and sche yaf drynk to the child;
20 Und Gott war mit dem Knaben; der wuchs heran und nahm seinen Aufenthalt in der Steppe und wurde ein Bogenschütz.
and was with him, and he encresside, and dwellide in wildernesse, and he was maad a yong man an archer,
21 Er nahm aber seinen Aufenthalt in der Steppe Paran, und seine Mutter nahm ihm ein Weib aus dem Lande Ägypten.
and dwellide in the deseert of Faran; and his modir took to him a wijf of the lond of Egipt.
22 Um dieselbe Zeit sprachen Abimelech und sein Heerführer Pichol zu Abraham also: Gott ist mir dir in allem, was du thust.
In the same tyme Abymelech, and Ficol, prince of his oost, seide to Abraham, God is with thee in alle thingis whiche thou doist;
23 Darum schwöre mir jetzt bei Gott allhier, daß du an mir und meiner gesamten Verwandtschaft nimmermehr treulos handeln willst. Gleichwie ich mich freundschaftlich gegen dich erzeigt habe, sollst du dich gegen mich erzeigen und gegen das Land, in welchem du dich als Fremdling aufhältst.
therfore swere thou bi God that thou noye not me, and myn eiris, and my kynrede; but bi the mersi whych Y dide to thee, do thou to me, and to the lond in which thou lyuedist a comelyng.
24 Da sprach Abraham: Ich will schwören.
And Abraham seide, Y schal swere.
25 Abraham aber setzte den Abimelech zur Rede wegen des Wasserbrunnens, den die Sklaven Abimelechs mit Gewalt genommen hatten.
And he blamyde Abymelech for the pit of watir, which hise seruauntis token awey bi violence.
26 Abimelech antwortete: Ich weiß nicht, wer das gethan hat; weder hast du mir etwas davon gesagt, noch habe ich bis heute davon gehört.
And Abymelech answerde, I wiste not who dide this thing, but also thou schewidist not to me, and Y herde not outakun to dai.
27 Da nahm Abraham Schafe und Rinder und gab sie dem Abimelech, und sie schlossen einen Vertrag miteinander.
And so Abraham took scheep and oxun, and yaf to Abymalech, and bothe smyten a boond of pees.
28 Abraham aber stellte die sieben Lämmer besonders.
And Abraham settide seuene ewe lambren of the flok asidis half.
29 Da sprach Abimelech zu Abraham: Was sollen diese sieben Lämmer, die du besonders gestellt hast?
And Abymelech seide to hym, What wolen these seuene ewe lambren to hem silf, whiche thou madist stonde asidis half?
30 Abraham antwortete: Die sieben Lämmer mußt du von mir annehmen; das soll mir zum Zeugnis dienen, daß ich diesen Brunnen gegraben habe.
And he seide, Thou schalt take of myn hond seuene ewe lambren, that tho be in to witnessyng to me, for Y diggide this pit.
31 Daher heißt jene Stätte Beerseba, weil sie dort einander geschworen haben.
Therfor thilke place was clepid Bersabee, for euere eithir swore there;
32 So schlossen sie einen Vertrag zu Beerseba. Alsdann brachen Abimelech und sein Heerführer Pichol auf und kehrten zurück ins Philisterland.
and thei maden boond of pees for the pit of an ooth.
33 Abraham aber pflanzte eine Tamariske zu Beerseba und rief daselbst den Namen Jahwes an, des ewigen Gottes.
Forsothe Abymelech roos, and Ficol, prince of his chyualrie, and thei turneden ayen in to the lond of Palestyns. Sotheli Abraham plauntide a wode in Bersabee, and inwardli clepide there the name of euerlastinge God;
34 Abraham aber verweilte lange Zeit im Philisterland.
and he was an erthetiliere ether a comelynge of the lond of Palestynes in many dayes.
