1 Mose 12
1 Da sprach Jahwe zu Abram: Ziehe hinweg aus deinem Lande, von deiner Verwandtschaft und aus deines Vaters Hause in das Land, das ich dir zeigen werde.
Forsothe the Lord seide to Abram, Go thou out of thi lond, and of thi kynrede, and of the hous of thi fadir, and come thou in to the lond which Y schal schewe to thee;
2 Und ich will dich zu einem großen Volke machen und will dich segnen und dir einen großen Namen machen, und sollst ein Segen sein!
and Y schal make thee in to a greet folk, and Y schal blisse thee, and Y schal magnyfie thi name, and thou schalt be blessid;
3 Und ich will segnen, die dich segnen, und den, der dich verwünscht, will ich verfluchen, und durch dich sollen gesegnet werden alle Völkerstämme auf Erden!
Y schal blesse hem that blessen thee, and Y schal curse hem that cursen thee; and alle kynredis of erthe schulen be blessid in thee.
4 Da zog Abram hinweg, wie Jahwe zu ihm gesagt hatte, und Lot zog mit ihm. Abram aber war 75 Jahre alt, als er von Haran auszog.
And so Abram yede out, as the Lord comaundide hym, and Loth yede with hym. Abram was of `thre scoor yeer and fiftene whanne he yede out of Aran.
5 Da nahm Abram sein Weib Sarai und Lot, seines Bruders Sohn, und alle ihre Habe, die sie besaßen, und die Seelen, die sie in Haran erworben hatten, und sie zogen aus, um sich ins Land Kanaan zu begeben, und gelangten ins Land Kanaan.
And he took Saray, his wijf, and Loth, the sone of his brother, and al the substaunce which thei hadden in possessioun, and the men whiche thei hadden bigete in Aran; and thei yeden out that thei `schulen go in to the loond of Chanaan. And whanne they camen in to it,
6 Und Abram durchzog das Land bis zu der Stätte von Sichem, bis zur Orakel-Terebinthe; es waren aber damals die Kanaaniter im Lande.
Abram passide thorou the lond til to the place of Sichem, and til to the noble valey. Forsothe Chananei was thanne in the lond.
7 Da erschien Jahwe dem Abram und sprach zu ihm: Deinen Nachkommen will ich dieses Land verleihen! Da erbaute er dort Jahwe, der ihm erschienen war, einen Altar.
Sotheli the Lord apperide to Abram, and seide to hym, Y schal yyue this lond to thi seed. And Abram bildide there an auter to the Lord, that apperide to hym.
8 Von da rückte er weiter vor aufs Gebirge, östlich von Bethel, und schlug sein Zelt auf, so daß er Bethel westlich und Ai östlich hatte; und er erbaute daselbst Jahwe einen Altar und rief den Namen Jahwes an.
And fro thennus he passide forth to the hil Bethel, that was ayens the eest, and settide there his tabernacle, hauynge Bethel fro the west, and Hay fro the eest. And he bildide also there an auter to the Lord, and inwardli clepide his name.
9 Hierauf zog Abram immer weiter und weiter nach dem Südland zu.
And Abram yede goynge and goynge forth ouer to the south.
10 Es kam aber eine Hungersnot ins Land. Da zog Abram hinab nach Ägypten, um sich eine Zeit lang dort aufzuhalten, denn die Hungersnot lag schwer auf dem Lande.
Sotheli hungur was maad in the lond; and Abram yede doun in to Egipt, to be a pilgrime ther, for hungur hadde maistrie in the lond.
11 Als er nun nahe daran war, nach Ägypten zu gelangen, sprach er zu seinem Weibe Sarai: Ich weiß gar wohl, daß du ein schönes Weib bist.
And whanne he was nyy to entre in to Egipt, he seide to Saray, his wijf, Y knowe that thou art a fair womman,
12 Wenn dich nun die Ägypter erblicken werden, werden sie sagen: Sie ist sein Weib! und werden mich totschlagen, dich aber werden sie am Leben lassen.
and that whanne Egipcians schulen se thee, thei schulen seie, it is his wijf, and thei schulen sle me, and `schulen reserue thee.
13 Bitte, sage doch, du seist meine Schwester, damit es mir wohl gehe um deinetwillen, und ich deinetwegen ungefährdet bleibe!
Therfor, Y biseche thee, seie thou, that thou art my sistir, that it be wel to me for thee, and that my lijf lyue for loue of thee.
14 Als nun Abram nach Ägypten gelangt war, da sahen die Ägypter, daß das Weib überaus schön war.
And so whanne Abram hadde entrid in to Egipt, Egipcians sien the womman that sche was ful fair; and the prynces telden to Farao, and preiseden hir anentis him;
15 Und als die obersten Beamten des Pharao sie zu Gesicht bekommen hatten, rühmten sie sie gegen den Pharao; da wurde das Weib in den Palast des Pharao geholt.
and the womman was takun vp in to the hous of Farao.
16 Gegen Abram aber erzeigte er sich freigebig um ihretwillen, und es wurden ihm Schafe und Rinder und Esel, Sklaven und Sklavinnen, Eselinnen und Kamele zu teil.
Forsothe thei vsiden wel Abram for hir; and scheep, and oxun, and assis, and seruauntis, and seruauntessis, and sche assis, and camels weren to hym.
17 Jahwe aber schlug den Pharao mit schweren Plagen und sein Haus wegen Sarai, des Weibes Abrams.
Forsothe the Lord beet Farao and his hous with moste veniaunces, for Saray, the wijf of Abram.
18 Da ließ der Pharao Abram rufen und sprach: Was hast du mir da angethan! Warum sagtest du mir nicht, daß sie dein Weib ist?
And Farao clepide Abram, and seide to hym, What is it that thou hast do to me? whi schewidist thou not to me, that sche was thi wijf?
19 Warum hast du behauptet: sie ist meine Schwester, so daß ich sie mir zum Weibe nahm? nun aber - hier hast du dein Weib; nimm sie und geh!
for what cause seidist thou, that sche was thi sister, that Y schulde take hir in to wife to me? Now therfor lo! thi wiif; take thou hir, and go.
20 Und der Pharao entbot seinetwegen Leute, daß sie ihn und sein Weib und alles, was ihm gehörte, geleiteten.
And Farao comaundide to men on Abram, and thei ledden forth hym, and his wijf, and alle thingis that he hadde.
