Hesekiel 10
1 Und ich schaute hin, da war über der Veste, die sich über dem Haupte der Kerube befand, etwas wie ein Sapphirstein, etwas, das wie ein Throngebilde aussah, ward über ihnen sichtbar.
And as I looked, beholde, in the firmament that was aboue the head of the Cherubims there appeared vpon them like vnto the similitude of a throne, as it were a saphir stone.
2 Da sprach er zu dem in Linnen Gekleideten: Tritt hinein zwischen die Räder unterhalb des Kerubs, fülle deine Hände mit glühenden Kohlen aus dem Raume zwischen den Keruben und streue sie über die Stadt! Da trat er vor meinen Augen hinein.
And he spake vnto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in betweene the wheeles, euen vnder the Cherub, and fill thine hands with coales of fire from betweene the Cherubims, and scatter the ouer the citie. And he went in in my sight.
3 Es standen aber die Kerube rechts vom Tempel, als der Mann hineintrat, und die Wolke erfüllte den inneren Vorhof.
Now the Cherubims stood vpon the right side of the house, when the man went in, and the cloude filled the inner court.
4 Die Herrlichkeit Jahwes aber erhob sich von dem Kerub gegen die Schwelle des Tempels hin, und der Tempel ward von der Wolke erfüllt, und der Vorhof ward vom Glanze der Herrlichkeit Jahwes erfüllt.
Then the glorie of the Lord went vp from the Cherub, and stoode ouer the doore of the house, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightnesse of the Lordes glorie.
5 Und das Rauschen der Flügel der Kerube war bis zum äußeren Vorhof vernehmbar, gleich der Stimme des allmächtigen Gottes, wenn er redete.
And the sound of the Cherubims wings was heard into the vtter court, as the voyce of the Almightie God, when he speaketh.
6 Als er nun dem in Linnen Gekleideten befahl: Hole Feuer aus dem Raume zwischen den Rädern, aus dem Raume zwischen den Keruben hervor, da trat er hinein und stellte sich neben das eine Rad.
And when he had commanded the man clothed with linnen, saying, Take fire from betweene the wheeles, and from betweene ye Cherubims, then he went in and stood beside ye wheele.
7 Und der Kerub langte mit seiner Hand zwischen die Kerube nach dem Feuer, das sich zwischen den Keruben befand, hob welches auf und gab es dem in Linnen Gekleideten in die Hände; der nahm davon und ging fort.
And one Cherub stretched forth his hand from betweene the Cherubims vnto the fire, that was betweene the Cherubims, and tooke thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linnen: who tooke it and went out.
8 Es wurde aber an den Keruben etwas wie eine Menschenhand unter ihren Flügeln sichtbar.
And there appeared in the Cherubims, the likenesse of a mans hande vnder their wings.
9 Und ich sah hin, da waren vier Räder neben den Keruben, immer je ein Rad neben je einem Kerub, und die Räder waren anzusehn wie das Blinken von Chrysolithstein.
And when I looked vp, beholde, foure wheeles were beside the Cherubims, one wheele by one Cherub, and another wheele by another Cherub, and the appearance of the wheeles was as the colour of a Chrysolite stone.
10 Und was ihr Aussehen betrifft, so hatten die Viere einerlei Gestalt, als ob ein Rad inmitten des andern wäre.
And their appearance (for they were all foure of one facion) was as if one wheele had bene in another wheele.
11 Wenn sie gingen, so gingen sie nach ihren vier Seiten. Nicht wandten sie sich, wenn sie gingen; sondern nach der Gegend, nach welche eine Spitze sich wendete, dahin gingen sie, nicht wandten sie sich, wenn sie gingen.
When they went foorth, they went vpon their foure sides, and they returned not as they went: but to the place whither the first went, they went after it, and they turned not as they went.
12 Und ihr ganzer Leib und ihr Rücken und ihre Hände und ihre Flügel und die Räder waren ringsum voll Augen bei den Vieren.
And their whole bodie, and their rings, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheeles were full of eyes round about, euen in the same foure wheeles.
13 Den Rädern aber ward vor meinen Ohren der Name “Wirbelwind” gegeben.
And the Cherub cryed to these wheeles in mine hearing, saying, O wheele.
14 Und ein jedes hatte vier Gesichter. Das Gesicht des einen war das Gesicht eines Stiers, das Gesicht des zweiten war das Gesicht eines Menschen; der dritte hatte das Gesicht eines Löwen und der vierte das Gesicht eines Adlers.
And euery beast had foure faces: the first face was the face of a Cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the thirde the face of a lyon, and the fourth the face of an Egle.
15 Und die Kerube erhoben sich. Das war dasselbe Wesen, welches ich am Flusse Kebar geschaut hatte.
And the Cherubims were lifted vp: this is the beast that I sawe at the riuer Chebar.
16 Und wenn die Kerube gingen, so gingen die Räder neben ihnen mit, und wenn die Kerube ihre Flügel schwangen, um sich von der Erde zu erheben, so wandten sich auch die Räder nicht von ihrer Seite hinweg.
And when ye Cherubims went, the wheeles went by them: and when the Cherubims lift vp their wings to mount vp from the earth, the same wheeles also turned not from beside them.
17 Wenn jene stehen blieben, dann blieben auch diese stehen, und wenn jene sich erhoben, dann erhoben sie sich mit ihnen, denn der Geist des Tierwesens war in ihnen.
When the Cherubims stoode, they stood: and when they were lifted vp, they lifted the selues vp also: for the spirit of the beast was in them.
18 Und die Herrlichkeit Jahwes verließ die Schwelle des Tempels und stellte sich auf die Kerube.
Then the glorie of the Lord departed from aboue the doore of the house, and stoode vpon the Cherubims.
19 Da schwangen die Kerube ihre Flügel und erhoben sich vor meinen Augen von der Erde bei ihrem Abzug und die Räder gleichmäßig mit ihnen. Und sie stellten sich an den Eingang des östlichen Thors des Tempels Jahwes, während sich die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels oben über ihnen befand.
And the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and mounted vp from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheeles also were besides them: and euery one stoode at the entrie of the gate of the Lordes House at the East side, and the glorie of the God of Israel was vpon them on hie.
20 Das war das Wesen, welches ich am Flusse Kebar unter dem Gott Israels geschaut hatte, und ich erkannte, daß es Kerube seien.
This is the beast that I sawe vnder the God of Israel by the riuer Chebar, and I knewe that they were the Cherubims.
21 Ein jeder hatte vier Gesichter und ein jeder vier Flügel, und etwas wie Menschenhände war unter ihren Flügeln.
Euery one had foure faces, and euery one foure wings, and the likenesse of mans hands was vnder their wings.
22 Und was die Gestalt ihrer Gesichter betrifft, so waren es dieselben Gesichter, die ich am Flusse Kebar geschaut hatte: sie gingen ein jedes gerade vor sich hin.
And the likenesse of their faces was the selfe same faces, which I sawe by the riuer Chebar, and the appearance of the Cherubims was ye selfe same, and they went euery one straight forwarde.
