5 Mose 6
1 Dies aber sind die Gebote, die Satzungen und Rechte, die ich euch nach dem Befehle Jahwes, eures Gottes, lehren soll, damit ihr sie dort in dem Land, in das ihr hinüberzieht, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, befolgen sollt,
These ben the comaundementis, and cerymonyes, and domes, whiche youre Lord God comaundide that Y schulde teche you, and that ye do tho in the lond to which ye passen ouer to welde;
2 damit du, dein Sohn und dein Enkel, dein Leben lang in Furcht vor Jahwe, deinem Gott, alle seine Satzungen und Gebote haltest, die ich dir befehle, und damit du infolgedessen lange lebest.
that thou drede thi Lord God, and kepe alle hise comaundementis, and heestis, whiche Y comaunde to thee, and to thi sones, and sones of sones, in alle the daies of thi lijf, that thi daies be lengthid.
3 Hast du sie aber gehört, Israel, so trage Sorge, sie zu befolgen, damit es dir wohl gehe und ihr überaus zahlreich werdet, wie Jahwe, der Gott deiner Väter, dir verheißen hat, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt.
Thou Israel, here, and kepe, that thou do tho thingis whiche the Lord comaundide to thee, and that it be wel to thee, and thou be multiplied more, as the Lord God of thi fadris bihiyte, to yyue to thee a lond flowynge with mylk and hony.
4 Höre, Israel! Jahwe, unser Gott, Jahwe ist nur einer!
Thou Israel, here, thi Lord God is o God.
5 Und du sollst Jahwe, deinen Gott, lieben von ganzem Herzen, von ganzer Seele und mit aller deiner Kraft.
Thou schalt loue thi Lord God of al thin herte, and of al thi soule, and of al thi strengthe.
6 Diese Worte, die ich dir heute vorlege, sollen dir im Herzen bleiben;
And these wordis whiche Y comaunde to thee to dai, schulen be in thin herte;
7 auch sollst du sie deinen Kindern einschärfen und von ihnen reden, wenn du in deinem Hause weilst oder dich auf Reisen befindest, wenn du dich niederlegst und wieder aufstehst.
and thou schalt telle tho to thi sones, and thou schalt thenke on tho, sittynge in thin hows, and goynge in the weie, slepynge, and rysinge.
8 Du sollst sie als ein Denkzeichen auf deine Hand binden und als Stirnbänder zwischen den Augen haben
And thou schalt bynde tho as a signe in thin hond; and tho schulen be, and schulen be moued bifor thin iyen; and thou schalt write tho in the lyntel,
9 und sollst sie auf die Pfosten deines Hauses und an deine Thore schreiben.
and in the doris of thin hows.
10 Wenn dich nun Jahwe, dein Gott, in das Land bringen wird, das er dir kraft des deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geleisteten Eides verleihen will, in ein Land mit großen und schönen Städten, die du nicht gebaut hast,
And whanne thi Lord God hath brouyt thee in to the lond, for which he swoor to thi fadris, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and hath youe to thee grete citees, and beeste, whiche thou bildidist not,
11 mit Häusern, die ohne dein Zuthun mit Gütern jeder Art angefüllt sind, mit ausgehauenen Cisternen, die du nicht ausgehauen hast, und mit Wein- und Olivengärten, die du nicht gepflanzt hast, und du dich satt darin issest,
housis fulle of alle richessis, whiche thou madist not, and cisternes, which thou diggedist not, `places of vynes, and `places of olyues, whiche thou plauntidist not,
12 so hüte dich wohl, daß du nicht Jahwes vergessest, der dich aus Ägypten, dem Lande, wo du Sklave warst, hinweggeführt hat!
and thou hast ete, and art fillid,
13 Jahwe, deinen Gott, sollst du fürchten, ihn sollst du verehren und bei seinem Namen schwören;
be war diligentli, lest thou foryete the Lord, that ladde thee out of the lond of Egipt, fro the hows of seruage. Thou schalt drede thi Lord God, and thou schalt serue hym aloone, `bi seruyce due to God onely, and thou schalt swere bi his name.
14 nicht aber dürft ihr irgend einem anderen Gotte nachgehen von den Göttern der Völker, welche rings um euch wohnen.
Ye schulen not go aftir alien goddis, of alle hethen men that ben `in youre cumpas;
15 Denn Jahwe, dein Gott, ist ein eifersüchtiger Gott in deiner Mitte; gar leicht könnte Jahwe, dein Gott, zornig über dich werden und dich vom Erdboden vertilgen!
for God is a feruent louyere, thi Lord God is in the myddis of thee, lest ony tyme the `strong veniaunce of thi Lord God be wrooth ayens thee, and do awei thee fro `the face of the erthe.
16 Ihr sollt Jahwe, euren Gott, nicht versuchen, wie ihr ihn versucht habt in Massa.
Thou schalt not tempte thi Lord God, as thou temptidist in the place of temptyng.
17 Vielmehr sollt ihr die Gebote Jahwes, eures Gottes, halten, seine Verordnungen und Satzungen, die er dir gegeben hat,
Kepe thou the comaundementis of thi Lord God, and the witnessyngis, and cerymonyes, whiche he comaundide to thee;
18 und sollst thun, was recht und gut ist in den Augen Jahwes, damit es dir wohl gehe und du hineinkommest und das schöne Land, das Jahwe deinen Vätern zugeschworen hat, in Besitz nehmest,
and do thou that that is plesaunt and good in the siyt of the Lord, that it be wel to thee, and that thou entre, and welde the beste lond, of which the Lord swoor to thi fadris,
19 wenn Jahwe, wie er verheißen hat, alle deine Feinde vor dir verjagt.
that he schulde do awey alle thin enemyes bifor thee, as he spak.
20 Wenn dich künftig dein Sohn fragt: Was haben diese Verordnungen, Satzungen und Rechte zu bedeuten, die Jahwe, unser Gott, euch befohlen hat?
And whanne thi sone schal axe thee to morewe, that is, in tyme comyng, and schal seie, What wolen these witnessyngis, and cerymonyes, and domes to hem silf, whiche oure Lord God comaundide to vs?
21 so sollst du deinem Sohne antworten: Wir waren Sklaven des Pharao in Ägypten, aber Jahwe führte uns mit starker Hand aus Ägypten hinweg.
thou schalt seie to hym, We weren `seruauntis of Farao in Egipt, and the Lord ledde vs out of Egipt, in strong hond;
22 Jahwe that vor unseren Augen große und verderbenbringende Zeichen und Wunder an Ägypten, am Pharao und an seinem ganzen Hause;
and he dide myraclis, and grete wondris, and werste, `that is, moost peyneful veniaunces, in Egipt, ayens Farao and al his hows, in oure siyt.
23 uns aber führte er von dort hinweg, um uns hineinzubringen und uns das Land zu geben, das er unseren Vätern zugeschworen hatte.
And he ledde vs out therof, that he schulde yyue to vs led yn, the lond of which he swoor to oure fadris.
24 Und Jahwe befahl uns, alle diese Satzungen zu befolgen, indem wir Jahwe, unseren Gott, fürchteten, damit wir immerdar glücklich seien und er uns am Leben erhalte, wie bisher.
And the Lord comaundide to vs, that we do alle these lawful thingis, and drede oure Lord God, that it be wel to vs in alle the daies of oure lijf, as it is to dai.
25 Und wir werden rechtschaffen vor Jahwe, unserem Gotte, dastehen, wenn wir darauf bedacht sein werden, alle diese Gebote zu befolgen, wie er uns befohlen hat.
And he schal be merciful to vs, if we schulen do and kepe alle hise heestis, bifor oure Lord God, as he comaundide to vs.
