2 Chronik 11
1 Als aber Rehabeam nach Jerusalem gelangt war, versammelte er das Haus Juda und Benjamin, 180000 auserlesene Krieger, zum Kampfe gegen Israel, um Rehabeam das Königtum wiederzugewinnen.
Forsothe Roboam cam in to Jerusalem, and clepide togidere al the hows of Juda and of Beniamyn, `til to nyne scoore thousynde of chosen men and werriouris, for to fiyte ayens Israel, and for to turne his rewme to hym.
2 Aber das Wort Jahwes erging an Semaja, den Mann Gottes also:
And the word of the Lord was maad to Semeye, the man of God,
3 Sprich zu Rehabeam, dem Sohne Salomos, dem Könige von Juda, und zu ganz Israel in Juda und Benjamin also:
and seide, Speke thou to Roboam, the sone of Salomon, kyng of Juda, and to al Israel, which is in Juda and Beniamyn; The Lord seith these thingis,
4 So spricht Jahwe: Ihr sollt nicht hinziehen, um gegen eure Brüder zu kämpfen: jedermann kehre wieder heim, denn durch mich ist es also gefügt worden! Als sie die Worte Jahwes vernahmen, kehrten sie um und gaben den Zug gegen Jerobeam auf.
Ye schulen not stie, nethir ye schulen fiyte ayens youre britheren; ech man turne ayen in to his hows, for this thing is doon bi my wille. And whanne thei hadden herd the word of the Lord, thei turneden ayen, and yeden not ayens kyng Jeroboam.
5 So blieb denn Rehabeam zu Jerusalem. Und er baute eine Anzahl Städte in Juda zu Festungen um;
Forsothe Roboam dwellide in Jerusalem, and he bildide wallid citees in Juda;
6 und zwar baute er Bethlehem, Etam, Thekoa,
and bildide Bethleem, and Ethan, and Thecue, and Bethsur;
7 Beth-Zur, Socho, Adullam,
and Sochot, and Odollam;
8 Gath, Maresa, Siph,
also and Jeth, and Maresa, and Ziph;
9 Adoraim, Lachis, Aseka,
but also Huram, and Lachis, and Azecha;
10 Zorea, Ajalon, und Hebron, die in Juda und Benjamin lagen, zu festen Städten um.
and Saraa, and Hailon, and Ebron, that weren in Juda and Beniamyn, ful strong citees.
11 Er machte diese Festungen stark, that Befehlshaber hinein, sowie Vorräte von Speise, Öl und Wein
And whanne he hadde closid tho with wallis, he settide `in tho citees princes, and bernes of metis, that is, of oile, and of wyn.
12 und in jede Stadt Schilde und Speere und machte sie überaus stark. Und es gehörte ihm Juda und Benjamin.
But also in ech citee he made placis of armuris of scheeldis, and speris, and he made tho strong with most diligence; and he regnyde on Juda and Beniamyn.
13 Die Priester und Leviten aber, die sich irgendwo in Israel befanden, kamen aus allen ihren Bezirken und stellten sich ihm zur Verfügung.
Sotheli the preestis and dekenes, that weren in al Israel, camen to hym fro alle her seetis,
14 Denn die Leviten verließen ihre Weidetriften und ihr Besitztum und begaben sich nach Juda und Jerusalem. Denn Jerobeam und seine Söhne hatten sie aus dem Priesterdienste vor Jahwe verstoßen;
and forsoken her subarbis and possessiouns, and thei passiden to Juda and to Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and hise aftir comeris hadden cast hem a wey, that thei schulden not be set in preesthod of the Lord;
15 und er hatte sich selbst Priester bestellt für die Opferhöhen und die Bocksgestalten und die Kälber, die er hatte anfertigen lassen.
which Jeroboam made to hym preestis of hiye places, and of feendis, and of caluys, which he hadde maad.
16 Und aus allen Stämmen Israels schlossen sich ihnen diejenigen an, die ihren Sinn darauf richteten, Jahwe, den Gott Israels, zu suchen. Sie kamen nach Jerusalem, um Jahwe, den Gott ihrer Väter, zu opfern.
But also of alle the linagis of Israel, whiche euer yauen her herte to seke the Lord God of Israel, thei camen to Jerusalem for to offre her sacrifices bifor the Lord God of her fadris.
17 So stärkten sie das Reich Juda und befestigten Rehabeam, den Sohn Salomos, drei Jahre lang. Denn sie wandelten in den Wegen Davids und Salomos, drei Jahre lang.
And thei strengthiden the rewme of Juda, and strengthiden Roboam, the sone of Salomon, bi thre yeer; for thei yeden in the weies of Dauid, and of Salomon, oneli bi thre yeer.
18 Und Rehabeam nahm sich Mahalath, die Tochter Jerimoths, des Sohnes Davids, und Abihails, der Tochter Eliabs, des Sohnes Isais, zum Weibe;
Forsothe Roboam weddide a wijf Malaoth, the douytir of Jerymuth, sone of Dauid, and Abiail, the douytir of Heliab, sone of Ysaye;
19 die gebar ihm folgende Söhne: Jeus, Semarja und Saham.
and sche childide to hym sones, Yeus, and Somorie, and Zerei.
20 Und nach ihr heiratete er Maacha, die Tochter Absaloms; die gebar ihm Abia, Attai, Sisa und Selomith.
Also after this wijf he took Maacha, the douyter of Abissalon, and sche childide to hym Abia, and Thai, and Ziza, and Salomyth.
21 Und Rehabeam hatte Maacha, die Tochter Absaloms, lieber als alle seine anderen Frauen und Kebsweiber; denn er hatte achtzehn Frauen und sechzig Kebsweiber genommen und erzeugte achtundzwanzig Söhne und sechzig Töchter.
Forsothe Roboam louyde Maacha, the douytir of Abissalon, aboue alle hise wyues and secundarie wyues. Forsothe he hadde weddid eiytene wyues, sotheli sixti secundarie wyues; and he gendride eiyte and twenti sones, and sixti douytris.
22 Und Rehabeam bestellte Abia, den Sohn Maachas, zum Haupte, zum Fürsten unter seinen Brüdern; denn er gedachte ihn zum Könige zu machen.
Sotheli he ordeynede Abia, the sone of Maacha, in the heed, duyk ouer alle hise britheren; for he thouyte to make Abia kyng,
23 Und er handelte klug und verteilte eine Anzahl von allen seinen Söhnen in alle Gegenden von Juda und Benjamin in alle die festen Städte und lieferte ihnen reichliche Zehrung und begehrte für sie eine Menge von Frauen.
for he was wisere and myytiere ouer alle hise sones, and in alle the coostis of Juda and of Beniamyn, and in alle wallid citees; and he yaf to hem ful many metis, and he had many wyues.
