1 Samuel 2
1 Und Hanna betete und sprach: Es jauchzt mein Herz durch Jahwe, mein Horn ist hoch erhoben durch meinen Gott, weit aufgethan mein Mund wider meine Feinde, denn ich freue mich deiner Hilfe!
And Anna worschipide, and seide, Myn herte fulli ioiede in the Lord, and myn horn is reisid in my God; my mouth is alargid on myn enemyes, for Y was glad in thin helthe.
2 Niemand ist heilig, wie Jahwe, denn keiner ist außer dir; es ist kein Fels gleich unserm Gott!
Noon is hooli as the Lord is; `for noon other is, outakun thee, and noon is strong as oure God.
3 Sagt nicht immer: Hoch hinaus! hoch hinaus! Vermessenes entfahre nicht eurem Mund! Denn ein wissender Gott ist Jahwe und ein Gott, der Thaten wägt.
Nyle ye multiplie to speke hiye thingis, and haue glorie; elde thingis go awey fro youre mouth; for God is Lord of kunnyngis, and thouytis ben maad redi to hym.
4 Der Helden Bogen wird zerschmettert, Strauchelnde aber gürten sich mit Kraft;
The bouwe of strong men is ouercomun, and sijk men ben gird with strengthe.
5 Satte haben sich um Brot verdingt, aber Hungernde können feiern. Ja, die Unfruchtbare gebiert sieben, während die Kinderreiche dahinwelkt.
Men fillid bifore settiden hem silf to hire for looues, and hungri men ben fillid; while the bareyn womman childide ful manye, and sche that hadde many sones, was sijke.
The Lord sleeth, and quikeneth; he ledith forth to hellis, and bryngith ayen. (Sheol h7585)
7 Jahwe macht arm und macht reich, erniedrigt und erhöhet auch.
The Lord makith pore, and makith riche; he makith low, and reisith.
8 Aus dem Staube richtet er den Schwachen empor, aus dem Kot erhebt er den Armen, heißt sie sitzen neben den Fürsten, weist ihnen an den Ehrenplatz. Denn Jahwes sind der Erde Säulen, und er stellte auf sie den Erdkreis.
He reisith a nedi man fro poudur, and `he reisith a pore man fro dryt, that he sitte with princes, and holde the seete of glorie; for the endis of erthe ben of the Lord, and he hath set the world on tho.
9 Die Füße seiner Frommen behütet er, aber die Gottlosen kommen um in Finsternis. Denn nicht durch eigene Kraft siegt jemand:
He schal kepe `the feet of hise seyntis, and wickid men schulen be stille to gidere in derknessis; for a man schal not be maad strong in his owne strengthe.
10 die wider Jahwe streiten, werden zerschmettert! Über ihm donnert er im Himmel; Jahwe richtet die Enden der Erde. Er verleiht Stärke seinem König, erhebt das Horn seines Gesalbten!
Aduersaries of the Lord schulen drede hym, and in heuenes he schal thundre on hem; the Lord schal deme the endis of erthe, and he schal yyue lordschip to his kyng, and he schal enhaunse the horn, `that is, power, of his Crist.
11 Darauf ging sie wieder nach Rama. Der Knabe aber besorgte den Dienst vor Jahwe unter den Augen des Priesters Eli.
And Helcana yede in to Ramatha, in to his hows; forsothe the child was seruaunt in the siyt of the Lord bifor the face of Ely the preest.
12 Elis Söhne jedoch waren nichtswürdige Menschen, die sich um Jahwe nicht kümmerten,
Forsothe the sones of Hely weren sones of Belial,
13 noch darum, was dem Priester vom Volke zukam. So oft nämlich jemand ein Opfer schlachtete, kam, während das Fleisch noch kochte, der Bursche des Priesters mit einer dreizackigen Gabel in der Hand
and knewen not the Lord, nether the office of preestis to the puple; but who euer hadde offrid sacrifice, the child of the preest cam, while the fleischis weren in sething, and he hadde a fleischhook with thre teeth in his hond;
14 und stach damit in den Kessel oder Topf oder in das Becken oder die Schüssel: was dann irgend die Gabel heraufbrachte, nahm der Priester für sich. So verfuhren sie mit allen Israeliten, die dorthin nach Silo kamen.
and he sente it in to the `grete vessel of stoon, ethir in to the caudrun, ethir in to the pot, ethir in to the panne; and what euer thing the fleischhook reiside, the preest took to hym silf; so thei diden to al Israel of men comynge in to Silo.
15 Und ehe man noch das Fett in Rauch aufgehen ließ, pflegte der Bursche des Priesters zu kommen und sprach zu dem, der opferte: Gieb Fleisch her zum Braten für den Priester! Er will nicht gekochtes Fleisch von dir haben, sondern rohes!
Yhe bifor that `the sones of Hely brenten the ynnere fatnesse, the `child of the preest cam, and seyde to the offerere, Yyue `thou fleisch to me, that Y sethe to the preest; for Y schal not take of thee sodun fleisch, but raw.
16 Erwiderte ihm aber jener: Zuerst muß man doch das Fett in Rauch aufgehen lassen; darnach nimm dir, was du gerne magst! so gab er zur Antwort: Nein, sondern glich sollst du es hergeben - wo nicht, so nehme ich es mit Gewalt!
And `the offrere seide to hym, The ynnere fatnesse be brent first to day bi the custom, and take thou to thee hou myche euer thi soule desirith. Whiche answeride, and seide to hym, Nay, for thou schalt yyue now; ellis Y schal take bi violence.
17 So war die Versündigung der beiden jungen Männer sehr schwer vor Jahwe, weil sie das Opfer Jahwes gering achteten.
Therfor the synne of the children was ful greuouse bifor the Lord; for thei withdrowen men fro the `sacrifice of the Lord.
18 Samuel aber besorgte den Dienst vor Jahwe - ein Knabe, umgürtet mit einem linnenen Schulterkleid.
`Forsothe Samuel, a child gird with a lynnun clooth, mynystride bifor the face of the Lord.
19 Dazu pflegte ihm seine Mutter einen kleinen Rock zu fertigen und brachte ihm denselben jedes Jahr, wenn sie mit ihrem Manne zum jährlichen Opfermahl hinaufwanderte.
And his moder made to hym a litil coote, which sche brouyte in daies ordeyned, and stiede with hir hosebonde, that he schulde offre a solempne offryng, and his auow.
20 Da segnete dann Eli jedesmal Elkana und sein Weib und sprach: Möge dir Jahwe Nachwuchs von diesem Weib erstatten an Stelle des Darlehens, das an Jahwe geliehen ward! Sodann kehrte er an seinen Ort zurück.
And Heli blesside Helcana and his wijf; and Heli seide `to hym, The Lord yelde to thee seed of this womman, for the yifte which thou hast youe to the Lord. And thei yeden in to her place.
21 Und Jahwe nahm sich Hannas an, so daß sie noch drei Söhne und zwei Töchter gebar. Der junge Samuel aber wuchs heran bei Jahwe.
Therfor the Lord visitide Anna, and sche conseyuede, and childide thre sones and twei douytris. And the child Samuel was `magnyfied at the Lord.
22 Nun war Eli ein sehr alter Mann. Doch wenn er hörte, was alles seine Söhne an ganz Israel begingen und daß sie mit den Weibern buhlten, die draußen vor dem Offenbarungszelte Dienst thaten,
Forsothe Hely was ful eld, and he herde alle `thingis whiche hise sones diden in al Israel, and hou thei slepten with wymmen, that awaitiden at the dore of the tabernacle.
23 dann sagte er zu ihnen: Warum thut ihr dergleichen Dinge, wie ich sie vom ganzen Volke vernehme?
And he seide to hem, Whi doen ye siche thingis, the worste thingis whiche Y here of al the puple?
24 Nicht doch, meine Söhne! Das ist ein schlimmes Gerücht, das ich vom Volke Jahwes verbreiten höre!
Nyle ye, my sones; it is not good fame, which Y here, that ye make the `puple of the Lord to do trespas.
25 Sündigt ein Mensch wider Menschen, so entscheidet die Gottheit; sündigt aber jemand wider Jahwe - wer wollte sich da für ihn zum Richter aufwerfen? Sie aber hörten nicht auf die Worte ihres Vaters, denn Jahwe hatte ihren Tod beschlossen.
If a man synneth ayens a man, God may be plesid to him; forsothe if a man synneth ayens the Lord, who schal preye for hym? And thei herden not the vois of her fadir, for God wolde sle hem.
26 Der Knabe Samuel hingegen wuchs immer mehr heran und gewann immer mehr an Gunst bei Jahwe, wie bei Menschen.
Forsothe the child Samuel profitide, and encreessyde, and pleside bothe God and men.
27 Da kam ein Gottesmann zu Eli und redete ihn an: So spricht Jahwe: Allerdings habe ich mich deiner Familie geoffenbart, als sie noch in Ägypten Knechte des Hauses des Pharao waren,
Sotheli a man of God cam to Hely, and seide to hym, The Lord seith these thingis, Whether Y was not schewid apertli to the hows of thi fadir, whanne he was in Egipt, in the hows of Farao?
28 und erwählte sie mir aus allen Stämmen Israels zu Priestern, daß sie zu meinem Altar hinaufsteigen, Räucherwerk anzuzünden und das Schulterkleid vor mir tragen sollten, und habe deiner Familie alle Feueropfer der Israeliten überwiesen -
And Y chees hym of alle lynagis of Israel `in to preest to me, that he schulde stie to myn auter, and schulde brenne encense to me, and that he schulde bere bifor me preestis cloth; and Y yaf to `the hows of thi fadir alle thingis of the sacrifices of the sones of Israel.
29 warum tretet ihr meine Schlachtopfer und Opfergaben mit Füßen, die ich angeordnet habe, und achtest du deine Söhne höher als mich, daß ihr euch mästet von den besten Stücken aller Opfer, die Israel vor mir darbringt?
Whi hast thou cast awey with the heele my sacrifice, and my yiftis, whiche Y comaundide to be offrid in the temple; and thou onouridst more thi sones than me, that ye eeten the principal partis of ech sacrifice of `Israel, my puple?
30 So lautet denn der Spruch Jahwes, des Gottes Israels: Ich habe zwar gesagt, deine und deines Vaters Angehörige sollen für immer vor mir aus- und eingehen - jetzt aber lautet Jahwes Spruch: Ferne sei es von mir! Nein, wer mich ehrt, den ehre ich, aber wer mich verachtet, soll in Schande geraten:
Therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y spekynge spak, that thin hows and `the hows of thi fadir schulde mynystre in my siyt til in to with outen ende; `now forsothe the Lord seith, Fer be this fro me; but who euere onourith me, Y schal glorifie hym; forsothe thei that dispisen me, schulen be vnnoble.
31 die Zeit wird kommen, wo ich deinen und deines Geschlechtes Arm zerschmettere, so daß es keinen Betagten mehr in deiner Familie giebt.
Lo! daies comen, and Y schal kitte awei thin arm, and the arm of the hows of thi fadir, that an eld man be not in thin hows.
32 Dann wirst du auf alle die Wohlthaten blicken, die ich Israel erweisen werde; aber in deiner Familie soll sich nie mehr ein Betagter finden.
And thou schalt se thin enemy in the temple, in alle prosperitees of Israel; and an eld man schal not be in thin hows in alle daies.
33 Nur einen deiner Angehörigen will ich nicht wegtilgen von meinem Altar, damit seine Augen verschmachten und seine Seele sich härme; dagegen soll die ganze übrige Menge deiner Nachkommen durch Menschenschwert umkommen.
Netheles Y schal not outerli take awei of thee a man fro myn auter, but that thin iyen faile, and thi soule faile; and greet part of thin hows schal die, whanne it schal come to mannus age.
34 Als Zeichen, das an deinen beiden Söhnen Hophni und Pinehas eintreffen wird, diene dir dieses: an einem Tage werden beide sterben!
Forsothe this schal be signe, that schal come to thi twei sones Ophym and Fynees, bothe schulen die in o dai.
35 Aber ich will mir einen zuverlässigen Priester bestellen, der nach meinem Sinn und Willen handelt; dem will ich ein dauerndes Haus bauen, daß er allezeit vor meinem Gesalbten aus- und eingehen soll.
And Y schal reise to me a feithful preest, that schal do bi myn herte and my soule; and Y schal bilde to hym a feithful hows, and he schal go bifore my Crist in alle daies.
36 Dann wird es kommen, daß, wer etwa von deinen Nachkommen noch übrig ist, herzutritt und sich vor ihm niederwirft, um ein Geldstück oder einen Laib Brot zu erbetteln, indem er spricht: Geselle mich doch einem deiner Priesterämter bei, daß ich ein Stück Brot zu essen habe!
Forsothe it schal come, that who euer dwellith in thin hows, he come that `me preie for him, and that he offre a peny of siluer, and a cake of breed, and seie, Y biseche, suffre thou me to o `part of the preest, that Y ete a mussel of breed.
