Psalm 95

1 Wohlan! Laßt uns dem Herrn zujauchzen, zujubeln unserm hilfereichen Hort!

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Laßt Uns mit Lobpreis vor sein Antlitz treten, mit Liedern ihm entgegenjauchzen!

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 Der Herr ein großer Gott, Großkönig über alle Götter!

For the LORD [is] a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 In seiner Hand der Erde Tiefen, sein sind der Berge Gipfel.

In his hand [are] the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills [is] his also.

5 Sein ist das Meer: Er hat's gemacht; das trockene Land: Er hat mit seinen Händen es gestaltet.

The sea [is] his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry [land].

6 Herbei, anbetend laßt uns niederfallen und niederknieen vor dem Herrn und unserm Schöpfer!

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

7 Er ist alleinig unser Gott, und wir sein Weidevolk und seine liebste Herde, wenn ihr auf seine Stimme heute horcht:

For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

8 "Verhärtet euer Herz nicht, wie zu Meriba, wie in der Wüste am Versuchungstag,

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 wo eure Väter mich versucht und mich geprüft, obschon sie meine Tat gesehen.

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

10 Ich grollte vierzig Jahre dem Geschlechte; ich sprach: Es ist ein Volk mit einem irren Geist; sie achten nicht auf meine Wege.

Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

11 Ich schwur daher in meinem Zorn: Nie gehen sie zu meiner Ruhstätte ein!"

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
