Psalm 145

1 Ein Loblied, von David. - Erheben will ich Dich, mein Gott, Du König, und Deinen Namen immerdar und ewig preisen.

A Psalme of David of Praise. O my God and King, I will extold thee, and will blesse thy Name for euer and euer.

2 Ich will Dich jeden Tag lobpreisen und immer und auf ewig Deinen Namen rühmen: -

I will blesse thee dayly, and prayse thy Name for euer and euer.

3 "Groß ist der Herr und hoch zu preisen und unerforschlich seine Größe",

Great is the Lord, and most worthy to be praysed, and his greatnes is incomprehensible.

4 daß ein Geschlecht dem andere Deine Werke rühme und Deine großen Taten künde.

Generation shall praise thy works vnto generation, and declare thy power.

5 Vom wundervollen Glanze Deiner Herrschergröße, von Deinen Wundertaten will ich singen.

I wil meditate of the beautie of thy glorious maiestie, and thy wonderfull workes,

6 Daß man von Deiner Schreckenstaten Größe rede, will ich von Deinen Großtaten erzählen.

And they shall speake of the power of thy fearefull actes, and I will declare thy greatnes.

7 Lob Deiner großen Güte ströme aus, und Jubel preise Deine Liebe! -

They shall breake out into the mention of thy great goodnes, and shall sing aloude of thy righteousnesse.

8 Der Herr ist gnädig und barmherzig, geduldig und von großer Güte.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercie.

9 Der Herr ist gütig gegen alle, voll Liebe zu seinen Geschöpfen all.

The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are ouer all his workes.

10 Dich sollen alle Deine Werke loben, Herr, und Deine Frommen Dich lobpreisen!

All thy workes prayse thee, O Lord, and thy Saints blesse thee.

11 Von Deines Reiches Glanze sollen sie erzähle und Deine Macht verkünden

They shewe the glory of thy kingdome, and speake of thy power,

12 und so die andern Deine großen Taten lehren und Deines Reiches Pracht und Herrlichkeit!

To cause his power to be knowen to the sonnes of men, and the glorious renoume of his kingdome.

13 Dein Reich ist ja ein Reich für alle Zeiten, und Deine Herrschaft reicht bis zu den äußersten Geschlechtern.

Thy kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and thy dominion endureth throughout all ages.

14 Der Herr stützt alle Wankenden und richtet alle, die gebeugt sind, auf.

The Lord vpholdeth all that fall, and lifteth vp all that are ready to fall.

15 Die Augen aller schauen hin auf Dich; Du speisest sie zur rechten Zeit.

The eyes of all waite vpon thee, and thou giuest them their meate in due season.

16 Du öffnest Deine Hand und sättigst alles, was da lebt, mit Lust. -

Thou openest thine hand, and fillest all things liuing of thy good pleasure.

17 In allen seinen Wegen ist der Herr so gütig, in allen seinen Werken liebevoll.

The Lord is righteous in all his wayes, and holy in all his workes.

18 Der Herr ist allen nahe, die ihn rufen, ja allen, die mit Recht ihn rufen dürfen,

The Lord is neere vnto all that call vpon him: yea, to all that call vpon him in trueth.

19 erfüllt die Wünsche derer, die ihn fürchten, vernimmt ihr Schreien und errettet sie.

He wil fulfill the desire of them that feare him: he also wil heare their cry, and wil saue them.

20 Der Herr behütet alle, die ihn lieben, und rottet alle Frevler aus.

The Lord preserueth all them that loue him: but he will destroy all the wicked.

21 So singt mein Mund das Lob des Herrn, daß alles Fleisch lobpreise seinen heiligen Namen für immer und auf ewig.

My mouth shall speake the prayse of the Lord, and all flesh shall blesse his holy Name for euer and euer.
