Psalm 118
1 Dem Herrn sagt Dank! Denn er ist gut. In Ewigkeit währt sein Erbarmen.
Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
2 So spreche Israel: "In Ewigkeit währt seine Huld!"
Let it say please Israel that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
3 So spreche Aarons Haus: "In Ewigkeit währt seine Huld!"
Let them say please [the] house of Aaron that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
4 So mögen, die den Herren fürchten, sprechen: "In Ewigkeit währt seine Huld!" -
Let them say please [those] fearing Yahweh that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
5 Aus tiefer Not ruf ich zum Herrn, und mich erhört der Herr aus weiter Ferne.
From the distress I called out to Yahweh he answered me in roomy place Yahweh.
6 Ist schon der Herr für mich, dann fürcht ich nichts. Was könnten mir die Menschen tun?
Yahweh [is] for me not I will be afraid what? will he do to me anyone.
7 Und ist der Herr mein Beistand, dann schau ich meine Lust an meinen Hassern.
Yahweh [is] for me helper my and I I will look on [those who] hate me.
8 Viel besser ist es, auf den Herrn zu bauen, als Menschen zu vertrauen.
[is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in humankind.
9 Viel besser ist es, auf den Herrn zu bauen, als Fürsten zu vertrauen. -
[is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in noble [people].
10 Umringen mich die Heiden all, ich wehre sie doch in des Herren Namen ab.
All nations they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
11 Umringen sie mich auch, wie sie nur können, ich wehre sie doch in des Herren Namen ab.
They surrounded me also they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
12 Umschwärmen sie mich auch wie ausgestoßene Bienen und wie das Feuer Dorngestrüpp einhüllt, ich wehre sie doch in des Herren Namen ab.
They surrounded me like bees they were extinguished like a fire of thorns in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
13 Und stößt man mich zum Sturz, dann steht der Herr mir bei.
Certainly you pushed me to fall and Yahweh he helped me.
14 Mein Siegen ist des Herren Lob, verhilft er mir zur Rettung. -
[is] might My and strength Yahweh and he has become of me salvation.
15 Dann tönen Jubellaut und Siegesruf bei den Gezelten der Gerechten: Gar Großes tut des Herren Rechte.
[the] sound of - A shout of joy and salvation [is] in [the] tents of righteous [people] [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
16 Ganz überlegen ist des Herren Rechte; gar Großes tut des Herren Rechte."
[the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] exalting [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
17 Ich sterbe nicht; ich bleibe noch am Leben, verkündige des Herren Taten.
Not I will die for I will live and I may recount [the] deeds of Yahweh.
18 Und züchtigt mich der Herr auch hart, er gibt mich nicht dem Tode preis.
Certainly he has disciplined me Yahweh and to death not he has given me.
19 So öffnet mir die Siegespforten! Ich ziehe ein, dem Herrn zu danken.
Open to me [the] gates of righteousness I will go in them I will give thanks to Yahweh.
20 Dies ist des Herren Pforte; die Frommen ziehen durch sie ein. -
This the gate [belongs] to Yahweh righteous [people] they will go in it.
21 "Ich danke Dir, daß Du mich hast erhört und mir zur Rettung bist geworden." -
I will give thanks to you for you answered me and you have become of me salvation.
22 Der Stein, verworfen von den Bauleuten, ist jetzt der Eckstein.
A stone [which] they rejected the builders it has become [the] head of [the] corner.
23 Dies ist vom Herrn geschehn, ganz wunderbar in unsern Augen.
From with Yahweh it has come this it it is wonderful in eyes our.
24 Dies ist der Tag, vom Herrn gewährt. Geweiht sei er dem Jubel und der Freude! -
This the day he has made Yahweh let us be glad and let us rejoice in it.
25 "Wohlan, Herr, spende Heil! Wohlan, Herr, spende Glück!"
We beg you O Yahweh save! please we beg you O Yahweh grant success! please.
26 Gesegnet in des Herren Namen sei, wer eintritt! Wir segnen euch vom Haus des Herrn:
[be] blessed The [one who] comes in [the] name of Yahweh we bless you from [the] house of Yahweh.
27 "Der Herr ist Gott; er leuchte uns!" Beginnt den Reigen mit den Zweigen bis zu den Hörnern des Altars! -
[is] God - Yahweh and he has given light to us bind a festival sacrifice with ropes to [the] horns of the altar.
28 "Du bist mein Gott; ich danke Dir. Mein Gott, ich preise Dich." In Ewigkeit währt seine Huld.
[are] God My you and I will give thanks to you O God my I will exalt you.
29 Dem Herrn sagt Dank! Denn er ist gut.
Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
