Nehemia 12
1 Dies sind die Priester und die Leviten, die mit Zerubbabel, dem Sohn Sealtiels und Jesua hergezogen sind: Seraja, Irmeja, Ezra,
And these are the priests and the Levites that came up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealthiel, and Jeshua': Serayah, Jeremiah, 'Ezra,
2 Amarja, Malluk, Chattus,
Amaryah, Malluch, Chattush,
3 Sekanja, Rechum, Meremot,
Shechanyah, Rechum, Meremoth,
4 Iddo, Ginnetoi, Abia,
'Iddo, Ginnethoy, Abiyah,
5 Mijjamin, Maadja, Bilga,
Miyamin, Ma'adyah, Bilgah,
6 Semaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
Shema'yah, and Joyarib, Jed'ayah,
7 Sallu, Amok, Chilkia, Jedaja. Dies sind die Häupter der Priester und ihrer Brüder in Jesuas Tagen.
Sallu, 'Amok, Chilkiyah, Jed'ayah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua'.
8 Und die Leviten sind: Jesua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Serebja, Jehuda, Mattanja. Dieser und seine Brüder leiteten den Dankgesang.
And the Levites: Jeshua', Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebyah, Judah, and Matthaniah, who was over the songs of thanksgiving, he and his brethren;
9 Und Bakbukja und Unni, ihre Brüder, standen ihnen gegenüber in ihren Abteilungen.
And Bakbukyah and 'Unni, their brethren, were opposite to them in the watches.
10 Jesua zeugte Jojakim und Jojakim den Eljasib, Eljasib den Jojada.
And Jeshua' begat Joyakim, and Joyakim begat Elyashib, and Elyashib begat Joyada'.
11 Jojada zeugte Jonatan und Jonatan den Jaddua.
And Joyada' begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua'.
12 In Jojakims Tagen waren Priester die Familienhäupter: für Seraja Merarja, für Irmeja Chananja,
And in the days of Joyakim were priests, as chiefs of the divisions: Of Serayah, Merayah; of Jeremiah, Chananyah;
13 für Ezra Mesullam, für Amarja Jehochanan,
Of 'Ezra, Meshullam; of Amaryah, Jehochanan;
14 für Malkia Jonatan, für Sebanja Joseph,
Of Mellchu, Jonathan; of Shebanyah, Joseph;
15 für Charim Adna, für Merajot Chalkai,
Of Charim, 'Adna; of Merayoth, Chelkai;
16 für Iddo Zekarja, für Ginneton Mesullam,
Of 'Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 für Abia Zikri, für Mijjamin..., für Moadja Piltai,
Of Abiyah, Zichri; of Minyamin, of Mo'adyah, Piltai;
18 für Bilga Sammua, für Semaja Jehonatan
Of Bilgah, Shammua'; of Shem'ayah, Jehonathan;
19 und für Jojarib Mattenai, für Jedaja Uzzi,
And of Joyarib, Matthenai; of Jeda'yah, 'Uzzi;
20 für Sallai Kallai, für Amok Eber,
Of Sallai, Kallai; of 'Amok, 'Eber;
21 für Chilkia Chasabja, für Jedaja Netanel.
Of Chilkiyah, Chashabyah; of Jeda'yah, Nethanel.
22 Von den Leviten sind in den Tagen Eljasibs, Jojadas, Jochanans und Jadduas die Familienhäupter verzeichnet worden, ebenso die Priester unter der Regierung des Persers Darius.
Of the Levites in the days of Elyashib, Yoyada', and Yochanan, and Jaddua', are written down the chiefs of the divisions: also those of the priests to the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Die Söhne Levis, die Familienhäupter, sind im Buche der Geschichte bis auf die Zeit Jochanans, des Sohnes Eljasibs, verzeichnet.
The sons of Levi, the chiefs of the divisions were written down in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Jochanan the son of Elyashib.
24 Die Häupter der Leviten sind Chasabja, Serebja und Jesua, Kadmiels Sohn, und ihre Brüder, die ihnen gegenüberstanden, um die Lob- und Danklieder zu singen nach der Vorschrift Davids, des Gottesmannes, Abteilung neben Abteilung:
And the chiefs of the Levites were: Chashabyah, Sherebyah, and Jeshua' the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren opposite to them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the command of David the man of God, section by section.
25 Mattanja und Bakbukja, Obadja, Mesullam, Talmon, Akkub, Wächter, Torhüter, die bei den Speichern der Tore Wache halten.
Matthanyah, and Bakbukyah, 'Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, 'Akkub, were watching gatekeepers on the watch at the thresholds of the gates.
26 Diese waren da zur Zeit Jojakims, des Sohnes des Jesua, des Sohnes des Josadak, und zur Zeit Nehemias, des Statthalters, und Ezras, des Priesters und Schreibers.
These were in the days of Joyakim, the son of Jeshua', the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of 'Ezra the priest, the expounder.
27 Bei der Einweihung der Mauer Jerusalems suchte man in allen ihren Orten die Leviten, um sie nach Jerusalem zu holen. Sie sollten freudig mit Dankliedern, Gesängen, Zimbeln, Harfen und Liedern das Weihe- und Dankfest feiern.
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to celebrate the dedication with joy, with thanksgivings, and with singing, cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28 Und die Söhne der Tempelsänger kamen zusammen, die einen aus dem Gau, der Umgebung von Jerusalem, die anderen aus den Gehöften der Netophatiter,
And there gathered themselves together the sons of the singers, both out of the district round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophah;
29 aus Bet Haggilgal und aus den Feldmarken von Geba und Azmawet. Denn die Sänger hatten sich Gehöfte rings um Jerusalem gebaut.
Also from Beth-hagilgal, and out of the fields of Geba' and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves villages round about Jerusalem.
30 Dann reinigten sich die Priester und Leviten. Sie reinigten auch das Volk, die Tore und die Mauer.
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and then they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Ich ließ nun die Obersten Judas die Mauer besteigen. Zwei große Chöre stellte ich auf. Der eine zog auf der Mauer rechts hin bis zum Misttor.
Then brought I up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and stationed two great companies for thanksgiving, and trains to walk on the right hand upon the wall by the dung-gate;
32 Ihnen folgte Hosaja, dabei die eine Hälfte der Oberen Judas,
And after them walked Hosha'yah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33 sowie Azarja, Ezra, Mesullam,
And 'Azaryah, 'Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 Jehuda, Benjamin, Semaja, Irmeja,
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shema'yah, and Jeremiah;
35 und von den Priestern mit Trompeten Zekarja, der Sohn Jonatans, der Enkel Semajas, des Sohnes Mattanjas, des Sohnes Mikajas, des Sohnes Zakkurs, des Sohnes Asaphs,
And of the sons of priests' with trumpets, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shema'yah, the son of Matthanyah, the son of Michayah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Assaph;
36 und seine Brüder Semaja, Azarel, Milalei, Gilalei, Maai, Netanel, Jehuda, Chanani mit den Saitenspielen des Gottesmannes David. Der Schreiber Ezra ging vor ihnen her
And his brethren, Shema'yah, and 'Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Ma'ai, Nethanel, and Judah, Chanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and 'Ezra the expounder walked before them.
37 zum Quelltor hin. Sie stiegen dann geradeaus die Stufen zur Davidsstadt hinauf, auf jenem Anstieg an der Mauer oberhalb des Davidshauses bis zum Wassertor im Osten.
And over the fountain-gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.
38 Der andere Chor zog nach links. Ich selbst folgte ihm mit der Hälfte des Volkes auf der Mauer oberhalb des Ofenturmes bis zur breiten Mauer,
And the other company for thanksgiving that walked in the opposite direction to them, —this one did I follow, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the ovens even as far as the broad wall;
39 dann oberhalb des Tores Ephraim und über das Jesanator, das Fischtor, den Chananelsturm und den Meaturm bis zum Schaftor. Sie stellten sich bei dem Gefängnistor auf.
And above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish-gate, and the tower of Chananel, and the tower of Meah, even as far as the sheep-gate; and they halted at the prison-gate.
40 Dann stellten sich beide Chöre am Gotteshause auf. Ich selbst und mit mir die Hälfte der Vorsteher,
So did the two companies for thanksgiving place themselves in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me.
41 sodann die Priester Eljakim, Maaseja, Minjamin, Mikaja, Eljoënai, Zekarja und Chananja mit Trompeten
And the priests, Elyakim, Ma'asseyah, Minyamin, Michayah, Elyo'enai, Zechariah, and Chananiah, with trumpets;
42 und Maaseja und Semaja, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehonatan, Malkia, Elam und Ezer. Dann ließen sich die Sänger unter Izrachjas Leitung hören.
And Ma'asseyah, and Shema'yah, and El'azar, and 'Uzzi, and Jehochanan, and Malkiyah, and 'Elam, and 'Ezer. And the singers sang aloud, with Yisrachyah as their overseer.
43 An jenem Tage schlachteten sie große Schlachtopfer und freuten sich, weil ihnen Gott eine große Freude bereitet hatte. Auch die Frauen und Kinder freuten sich. Der Jubel aus Jerusalem ward weithin gehört.
And they sacrificed on that day great sacrifices, and rejoiced; for God had caused them to rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced: so that the [shout of] joy of Jerusalem was heard even at a great distance off.
44 An jenem Tage wurden Männer zur Aufsicht über die Gemächer der Vorräte angestellt; sie sollten die Abgaben, den ersten Abhub und Zehnten von den Feldern der Städte, die gesetzlichen Gaben für Priester und Leviten sammeln. Denn Juda hatte Freude an den Priestern und Leviten, wenn sie Dienste taten.
And there were appointed at that day certain men as superintendents over the chambers for the treasuries, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions according to the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah had joy on the priests and on the Levites that stood there,
45 Sie besorgten ihren Gottesdienst und den Dienst der Reinigung, ebenso die Sänger und die Torhüter nach dem Geheiß Davids und seines Sohnes Salomo.
And kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and as singers and gatekeepers, according to the command of David, [and] of Solomon his son.
46 Denn schon in Davids und Asaphs Zeit im Altertum gab es Sängerhäupter für den Lobgesang und Dank gegen Gott.
For in the days of David and Assaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47 Ganz Israel gab in den Tagen des Zerubbabel und denen des Nehemias Geschenke an die Sänger und Torhüter Tag für Tag. Sie gaben auch solche den Leviten, und die Leviten gaben solche den Aaronssöhnen.
And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeeper, what was required for every day on its day; and they sanctified things for the Levites: and the Levites sanctified [the portion due] for the children of Aaron.
